smile and relax.....be polite, but be ready to say "no" to those who don't appeal.....the headliners will never get far from the lapdance room before being snagged by the next client eagerly hovering nearby......be respectful about possible limits......keep track of the song count or ask the performer to keep you updated.....it's all about money......

Tip well on top of the coast of a dance.  Be polite and respectful of boundaries.  Ask what the dancer is comfortable with you touching and dont just grab.  Different dancers are have different comfort levels. 
 

As for you set a budget you are ok with losing/spending and just have a great time.  Dont spend more than you can afford.

Interesting. I don’t often do that, instead, I extend the dance to a second and third song if I like him, which is great for the dancer, he gets 3x the money, and even greater for me, I get 3x more time to enjoy. Also the dancer seems a lot more comfortable with certain things once we have agreed to an extension.

Looks like Adonis will no longer be at Fairytale Lounge anymore - they are moving to a space on the UES.

Went to Adonis at RedEye last Saturday but they were upstairs so it was a bit awkward since there was another event downstairs and the dancers were mingling in the front bar and private dances on the stage area in the back. Saw a couple of familiar faces from BuffDaddys.

Is it weird to go to Adonis alone? I've always wanted to go but never could find someone to go with me. I'm looking to meet guys cause I've read that going to clubs is a way to meet them. Would Adonis be a good place or somewhere in Manhattan?

You definitely will get fhit on more by the dancers if you go alone. I'm not sure what you mean by looking too meet guys. If you're looking to meet new friends/guys to date it will be slim pickings. If you want to meet dancers you'll be ok.

On the contrary, I enjoy these events more when I am alone.  The few times I brought a friend to one of these types of places, the friend was always uncomfortable and wanted to leave.  Not everyone is into strippers.

When I went to the nude party, I got to meet other gay guys (who are not dancers) that have similar interest. That was over a year ago and things keep going downhill. As far as for Adonis, whenever I went, it wasn't a friendly atmosphere and never met or mingled with anyone. It isn't that type of club. If you want to meet guys, go to the gay bars.

like the others said, it may just be easier to go alone.....if I bring a friend, I'm always trying to balance keeping him entertained and picking out entertainers to have a lapdance with.....plus, the worry about when do we want to leave and all that.....however, some friends I've gone with are independent enough that I don't have to keep them entertained.....as for "meeting guys", no.....the clients aren't looking to meet new friends and, uhhh, the entertainer$ aren't either!

Went to Adonis the other night for the first time in a very long long time. BIG disappointment. First, there were only 2 of the dancers there that were listed on the email out of about 10 dancers. Secondly, the fee was $20 to get in for 10 lackluster dancers. Third, of course some of the dancers were very aggressive as no one was doing lap dances-many barely spoke English and hygiene was off. Fourth, when are they going to find a space where they're actual bar tenders who can make drinks? Not very busy and the bar tender was slow. What time too long. I know Tim has another job and is married with kids now but if you don't have the time to manage this properly let some one else do it. It's sad how this had gone down hill and is not fun to go to anymore.

For a similar experience lately, I have been preferring to go to the Monster Bar in the village. You can kind of be invisible in a dark corner in the basement of Dance area, as opposed to being one of two people being preyed upon by a dozen dancers.  I also like to dance some times, Music is usually pretty good, and I like drag shows sometimes, and the dancers actually do dance on the stage.

I visited the new location at Madame X on Sunday-Monday and I was legit the only client there. Only 5 dancers were there and one out of the five were shirtless. It was my first time at Madame X and it's been 8 months since I've been to any Adonis event. Madame X had a cool vibe with red chandeliers and red lighting to red carpet; basically  everywhere was red and it wasn't dark at all compared to the other places. As far as the dancers, it's still the same stale Latin/Hispanic men with only one new guy and his images didn't match the ones in the newsletter. Yeah I didn't like the fact that they don't speak English either and could totally tell they aren't interested in personal care either yet show up to events like this. I think Tim literally picked these guys off the streets but actually there are better looking men on the streets of Manhattan *cough* Luigi *cough*. Wasn't too surprised  the fee increased to $20 with all of the inflation. Totally not worth it. Definitely not worth tipping $20 to the dancers. Doorgirl Dana was trying to convince me to comeback  and go to the nude party. Never again. I'm done with this place.
