yea, I don't even know where to find one in the DC area even before COVID. although do we know if these establishments are actually allowed to conduct business yet (I thought there were certain ones that were still prohibited or have limitations) or at all depending on the state.

I went to one last month for one of those cumunion events. Got a bj in the movie theater area with several guys standing around watching, so that was pretty hot. Otherwise uneventful. Not the big turnout I was expecting to see.

Guys go there to suck and fuck. They don’t normally go there to suck fuck just one guy but a succession of guys. You decide- is that “hygienic?” Are they clean? The last time I went to the Steamworks it was very clean- for a bathhouse. Would I want to have a sterile procedure done there? Probably not.

DC’s last existing bathhouse (The Crew Club) closed earlier this year.

No more BathHouses in DC .

The irony of this, is that I could literally say the exact same thing about a wooded park I jogged by about a month ago....

I find it entertaining that the thread was started as judgement-free, but has basically been judgemental in nearly every post.

I admit to trying to thread a needle here. An occasional FWB asked me if I wanted to go to Megaplex in Providence RI with him. I offered an emphatic no. In fact Providence's CBC has apparently closed for good. In the end, my friend didn't go.

I'm curious, maybe morbidly so, to know what it's like with masks and social distancing.

To which posts are you referring? I suppose RudyNate's might be considered a bit judgmental, but I suppose that it's fairly factual that an open bathhouse would be a super spreader. So would a crowded church.

I understand. My post was a gentle reminder, not a hand-slap by any means.

 

While I haven't been to a bath in awhile, the Texas baths have been open for well over a month. Steamworks, systemwide, still seems be closed. The Vegas baths are back open. The remaining few independent baths will likely not make it through this pandemic.

 

Grindr on the other hand feels like it's never been more popular.

In San Francisco EROS is open with the following restrictions:

Only 12 people allowed at a time with 4 hour time limit

Showers, Sauna and Steam are closed

Locker Rooms closed, optional clothing check is offered

Must wear mask at all times

They are encouraging voyerism and masturbation only.

 

Sounds like a good time!!

The one in Philly just reopened.

Which one? A quick check revealed that both Philly bathhouses are open but with restrictions - reduced hours, masks, some parts closed.

Club Philly. They have a page on Facebook. You are correct. Restricted hours, I believe they begin at 5PM if I remember correctly.

We have Korean spas in Los Angeles that are basically bathhouses. They just started opening in the suburbs, and according to Squirt are active. (I used to love going, but don't feel comfortable yet.)

 

Yeah, the K spas in Dallas can be active, but mainly, it's always a place to go just to show off.

 

Spa Castle is probably the most conducive place for fucking around. Low, blue lighting. Lots of 90-degree corners. Showers that are open to the rest of the men's wet area.
