There's zero excuse for an escort to be using years-old photos as his sole marketing material.

It depends on how different they look from when the photos were taken. I'd say generally the escort that comes to your door should look basically like the person in the online profile. It's okay if there are slight differences but anything significant I think is misleading. And that is true for body, face, grooming, everything. Someone who is completely clean-shaven in all his pics and then comes to the door with a big scruffy beard is a misleading. I mean, I might be into that beard, but I would rather have some pictures to decide that beforehand.

However, an escort ad with markedly outdated photos is, at a minimum, misleading.

I appreciate that rent.men ads include the date the photo was posted. (I realize some ads have 'new' photos that were previously posted and reposted to get a more recent date stamp.) I think it is especially helpful when there are photos that span a couple of years and a guy's look has changed significantly - such as a different hairstyle or color, addition or less facial hair, or different tattoos. Helps me especially with the traveling guys that pass through town every six to twelve months.

Although not technically "fake" they can be very inaccurate and are therefore false representation. If an escort is not using relatively recent photos it probably means that his current appearance is not appealing enough to attract clients.

I’ve had multiple conversations with Jake Walker. He seems very upstanding and I plan on meeting with him once he comes to Palm Springs. Depends on the guy. I've had guys use pics that had to be at least 20 years ago, sometimes they don't even look like the same person. I try to give everyone a chance. One guy had some really old pics but he definitely still had a gorgeous body, another guy didn't even look like the same person. I've never had an outright catfish but have had a damn near close one. If I have to ask if I have the right place or person when they come to the door they should know better than to use that old picture.

I'm from the school that escort Photos have to be Professional photos, so I'll usually go two years w/o updating my photos. It's a combination of difficulty finding the photographers, cost, and just laziness. Believe me, laziness is definitely problematic.
