I don’t think it’s a good idea overall, but who am I to judge. Lol! There apparently is a market for it, seemingly with the rich. :)

I wouldn’t want someone I don’t know staying with me. I will say there are a small number of escorts I know very well that if they needed a place to stay temporarily I wouldn’t hesitate. Although it wouldn’t be about them staying to have sex. They’d have to help around the household and be a part of it while they were there. The problem is my house is pretty packed with my relatives, even before the pandemic. There just isn’t much room.

Even if I had the space and the resources, for me it would be a bad idea. For one thing, I’m pretty sure my husband of 25 years would object, LOL. For another, I’m too attached to the “one-night stand” aspects of this hobby—the novelty of meeting new guys, the element of erotic risk, etc. No matter how hot he is, I don’t see how the “boyfriend experience” survives the inevitable discovery, over a month of enforced togetherness, that he chews with his mouth open, or thrashes in his sleep, or votes Republican, or hates your cat.

I totally get it; the proverb "familiarity breeds contempt" comes to mind!

While this sounds like a fun solution to those of us in isolation, it would involve an unhealthy level of trust that I would not be willing to take with my life. We also have no idea how long we will actually be in isolation.

Of all the escorts I have interacted with over the course of my life as a client, there are 2 that I could actually see making it work. I am not sure I would even want to try though, or if we did, whether or not we would even be on speaking terms after:oops:

...or has foul morning breath, misses the bowl when he pees or is a FOX News junkie.

What ya wanna bet David Geffen is not alone on that $400 million yacht he's quarantining on in the Grenadines. or that the crew is not bad looking. Some smart gay reporter needs to send a camera drone over his yacht to see who this season's hunks are.

I’ve seen a guy here for a few years and we always have a torrid time. He’s a stylist, so no income at the moment. He also hasn’t advertised in a few years and most likely never will. I’m sure his apartment is pricey. But, I think he’s prone to moodiness. I doubt that he’d ask for help. I have a 2000 sf condo with 3.5 baths, so plenty of room; however, I enjoy my privacy and don’t find staying at home much of a burden, as long as I can continue my cardio and lifting routine. That said, I’ve reached out to a couple of cuties re video or phone sex. I think it could be mutually beneficial and may be more common as this stretches on.

I have to wonder if these garish displays of conspicuous consumption are going to backfire in the coming months, with mass unemployment and poverty? I have to think that the proles’ fascination with the Kardashians and other glitterati may turn to contempt or even fury. The well off had best keep a very low profile going forward.

Things probably will never be the same. There were plenty of places roiling even before this pointed its sickening head and pointed out the garish differences between the classes and in so many ways. One can point to the "Spanish" flu however we have to recall that took place just prior and during a world war. And in fact that war changed things in certain irrevocable ways. But I think this will do even more damage and create even more changes. Changes that we really can't imagine now. It has made me very afraid. Perhaps my fear is without reason. However we have to remember that this disease is not confined to this country and really hasn't taken hold elsewhere and in places that have much less resources to combat. And they as I said there has been an undercurrent of unhappiness for a long time.
