Their pictures were readily on the web. I didn't say anything salacious about them. And to be able to actually find me from these specific posts out of everyone who lived in our dorm or knew the urologist's then girlfriend (and now that I think about it, while I am 100% sure I knew the girlfriend, I'm only 90% sure we lived in the same dorm at one time), well while it might theoretically possible to discover me, it would take spy level movie skills to do it. Now if someone were to take all my posts over the years, or trace my internet connection from my posts, it would be easier. But I'm going to assume, the majority of people who use the Message Center don't have those skills. And for the few who might, why bother? I'm a middle-aged gay male with a failed career who is living on the edge of poverty. What good would it do to out me?

@Gar1eth once posted a link to a pic of his sprained ankle. That’s why I thought about that. There was never a need for him to post pictures of his classmates just like there’s no need for them to post pictures of @Gar1eth in any forum they belong.

 

I wonder if the former classmates he mentioned on here based on the information he wrote about himself would know who he’s. Karma?

There's a big poster on the other site who has become infamous for contracting escorts in Brazil saunas to let them know other posters have photos of them or even mention them and what sauna they work at. I keep having complaints from one all-looks-no-brains Czech friend of friends about posting photos from his current Rentman and Hunqz ads that I deleted a year ago. I vaguely remember the first time I saw an uncircumcised guy. My junior high was very white bread. If there had been 20 African Americans in the entire school, I would be surprised. There were Asians, but I don't really remember if they were circed or not. But there was this one white guy-he seemed a bit odd personality. Somewhat athletic if I remember correctly but not on the school teams. Also out of all the students listed in the school roster, his was the only name without a phone number associated with it. It would be one thing if the OP insinuated that the photo was of someone he hired as an escort, or who regularly hired escorts, but there was no such insinuation, so I can't see that there's been any harm done. I've posted the photos of many thousands, probably tens of thousands of men, on this board and on BoyToy Gay Male forums. So far, only two men have objected to those photos being posted, and in both of those cases it was because other members had mentioned the experience of hiring those men. Of course, even then, I don't have a problem with others saying they've hired the man, as long as it's true. But I don't see how someone could object to just their photos being posted. Once something is on the web, it's everywhere.

Is it okay for someone to take your Facebook profile picture and display it on a discussion forum that promotes white supremacy? Or how about a site that traffics in child porn? ... even if they do not insinuate that you are a white supremacist or use child porn. Keep in mind that everything on the internet is or can be digitally linked. Meaning your profile pic on the white supremacy or child porn site can be easily linked to your Facebook site. I'm not saying that a M4M site about hiring escorts is a bad thing (far from it!), but lots of men would be uncomfortable being, in any way, associated with the site.

Hmmm when I was in junior high and HS nobody showered after gym class and I don't recall it even being an option and this was long before the current millennial prudishness set in. The sports teams may have used them after practice but I wasn't involved in any of that. Thus you can imagine what a shock it was when I started my freshman year at college - one bathroom on our dorm floor (30 or so guys) with the old type "gang bang" showers (3 shower heads, no separation). You often had to wait in the morning to use them. Its an interesting way to get to know your neighbors making idle chit chat while standing around naked or half naked waiting to use the shower. I had crushes on so many of those guys and often I would start to get a chub, but they were all very polite about not noticing.
