I remember as a young child being very embarrassed about having an outie belly. I never wanted to take my shirt off at all. Then sometime in maybe middle school, my outie belly button turned into an innie! I don’t know how it happened but I was so happy.

No. I was always skinny in my school years. It has something to do with the way the umbilical cord was cut, and scar tissue from it I think.

If you have an "outie," it's probably because you have a small hernia, and probably best be fixed. There are simple surgical procedures for this.
