This is so true. It's why I - as bottom - do not rim most guys I have sex with because tops don't know how to keep their asshole clean.

If you have studies about the health benefits of circumcision, post them. My understanding is that circumcision may marginally reduce STI transmission but not to the extent of condom use.
Do the Benefits of Male Circumcision Outweigh the Risks? A Critique of the Proposed CDC Guidelines - PMC
WWW.NCBI.NLM.NIH.GOV The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) have announced a set of provisional guidelines concerning male... Symmetry is attractive in general. But “perceived power” is neither universally attractive nor abstract from capitalism.

Neither of these statements is remotely true. The "universal standards" are Western attributes sold to most of us and, increasingly, the rest of the world through the power of advertising. As a minor example, most Americans consider circumcised penises to be more appealing than uncircumcised. That has been "naturalized" to the point where people with no religious reason to have their male children circumcised do so. Multiple studies have proven there is no hygienic benefit.
Outside of the US and Jewish communities, circumcision is rare so for 80% of the world, most American penises are weird.
By Western standards, most people of color were not historically considered attractive. This led to Asian people having their eyes surgically altered, African Americans lightening their skin, and straightening their hair. The current UNIVERSAL standard is the Godforsaken Kardashians, who have been relentlessly cosmetically and surgically altered so they look like the product of AI.
Lastly, suppose I assume that everyone finds what I do attractive. In that case, I'd be excluding everyone with brown eyes, everyone under 6'0", everyone with a bushy beard, every muscle boy with a shaved body, etc., etc., etc., yet many, many, many people find those attributes incredibly attractive.
So, yes, it is narcissistic to assume that everyone finds that incredibly narrow and - for God's sake - so damn basic - things you find attractive.

I've had this same problem ever since I have been hiring.  I have always let the provider lead the way and so far it's been mostly successful.  After a year,  I've finally opened up to my primary guy things I specifically like.  I don't know why it's so difficult but I struggle too with it.

For me, the chance to allow myself to experience the provider’s skill without providing him a roadmap has been exhilarating, often. I’ve discovered new things I now like quite a bit because I let them drive.
All that being said, you are hiring a professional and you definitely can provide some direction. Most would welcome the input and the ones who wouldn’t likely aren’t worth the fee anyway.

Some escorts are just going through the motions and that’s ok if you as the client are enjoying the interaction.
Others seem to genuinely enjoy the experience and the chemistry really works. It’s usually pretty easy to distinguish the difference.

I agree that it's important to remember that this is a provider/client relationship. That said, I think there is some degree of acting but the best providers - whether you specify a BFE or not - are people who really enjoy meeting people, getting to know them, and providing them with pleasure. That part of it probably isn't an act per se. But they are definitely playing a role.

It doesn't help that certain clients constantly insinuate that everyone who hires except them is ancient, obese and disfigured.

I feel like this isn’t something one should spring on a provider. And for me I’m very sensitive to scent in general so even a provider wearing a lot of cologne is off putting.

Tried setting something up while he was visiting Philadelphia.  Included all of the information he requested in his profile description, only for him to ask me the same question three times (how long of a session).
He quoted a rate that was higher than his profile, then told me I had to contribute to his hotel stay.  That's when I ended the conversation.

it’s a very narrow point-of- view to think that the people you’re attracted to, are the only people that have value, or that others don’t find those same people very attractive/sexy/desirable.
sometimes I have no idea what’s going to turn me on until it happens. and frequently, it’s completely unexpected.
keeping an open mind & trying to stay out of judgment yields more opportunities for better outcomes - whatever the context

That’s the great thing about guys making their own porn. People of all shapes, sizes and age can make it and find an audience. Studios wouldn’t make it because they’d perceive it as being too niche, probably correctly because most porn features traditionally hot looking guys, but there is a market for non ‘stereotype’ look and it’s fantastic that guys can make it.
I make porn with a range of different guys, some of them have the usual type of body you see on porn, but others are more average looking. I can see that the films featuring ‘hot’ guys are usually more popular. You generally need at least 2 of 3 things: a hot body, a pretty face, a big cock (or bubble butt). One of the 3 is ok. None of them? That’s a struggle…then we’re talking about a niche market (such as the fat guy, or someone with a tiny cock, or some kind of disability). There will still be a market for those but it’s not as big as the mainstream market. If you want to make money at it you need to pitch to the mainstream or be right at the top of the alternative market.

In my line of work, I provide care for people. I genuinely care about them. But boundaries mean I can’t become enmeshed.
BFE – Boyfriend EXPERIENCE. He’s not your actual boyfriend. He’s providing the experience of a boyfriend, however.
It’s worth noting too that it’s not a SE, spouse experience. Things change for a lot of folks when relationships move from boyfriend to spouse. Sometimes even real dating is an acting game. The curtain falls once it moves on to something different – and it ain’t always a pleasant change!

As a total introvert, I could never pull this off myself, but I love the idea and it would absolutely give me a warm and friendly first impression if a guy did this to me. (But I'm not a provider so perhaps I shouldn't be chiming in, but I just really loved this!)

Be pleasant and nice.  I find it to be a major ice breaker when a provider first walks in the door and reaches to shake your hand, and you pull them in for a hug.  Don't know if I should be doing that or not, but it has never failed me yet.
