On NPR, they interviewed someone in charge of setting up distribution of the vaccines in Arkansas. The devil/god is in the details. The Pfizer vaccine requires storage in subzero conditions that will require either new refrigerators/freezers or a steady supply of dry ice. The vaccine has to be thawed for several hours, then diluted with saline. Once diluted, it can only be used during the following 5 hours. Each vial has 5 or six doses. Any of those doses not consumed within 5-6 hours will have to be discarded.
 
The Moderna vaccine doesn't need the same subzero conditions but can be refrigerated. It requires less thaw time, too. It's therefore a better candidate for transporting to remote locations that may not be equipped to store the vaccines for any length of time. There's some issue with the number of doses per vial and when they must be deployed or discarded.
 
The two vaccines aren't interchangeable and both require a second shot/dose, but on a different timetable. If someone receives a first Pfizer dose, s/he has to get the second Pfizer dose and not the Moderna dose.
 
There are still a lot of questions about the data as we've only got press release summaries. The Pfizer study (and perhaps Moderna, too) are timed to the occurrence of an event -- contracting corona. Part of the reason the vaccines reached the stage for application to distribute is the prevalence of corona in the country. Had the incidence of the virus been lower, the event would have taken longer to materialize in sufficient volume to reach trial conclusions.
 
Among the details I'd like to know are what protocols were in place w/r/t mitigation strategies. If, for example, the group getting the vaccine wore masks, isolated themselves, etc., and the placebo group did not it would make the data less impressive. That is, the effectiveness rate is based on 1 case of corona among the group receiving the vaccine for every 9 cases among the group receiving the placebo. I'm assuming that the only variable is whether you got the placebo or the vaccine, but that information hasn't been communicated yet.
 
Both vaccines are genetic -- RNA based. I don't know enough about the recipes to have a sense of whether there are resource limitations and timing lags or whether rapid, ramped up production is possible.

PS: The below chart is outdated. Covid has now killed more than 1.3M so it has proven to be deadlier than 12 other plagues in history.
Even with all restrictions, the death toll keeps growing now closer to the 17th Century Great Plagues, Antoine Plague, The 3rd Plague. and HIV/AIDS.

Most of us have learned a lot of lessons from when we started hiring providers or when some have started providing services to clients. Much of them are interspersed through various threads across multiple forums. For someone who is new to this, getting started might be overwhelming, so hopefully this thread can be a good go-to resource for someone to reference.
 
The prompt is, what advice would you give your newbie client or provider self to get started?
 
For me, here are some things that I learned in my 10 months that I would like to share to my newbie client self in January:

Know your worth, so you can ground yourself on how much you are willing to invest in the experience.
Do your due diligence. Read the comments within review sites, direct feedback from previous clients, related threads within the forum, and answers from the forum members to make an informed decision prior to taking a plunge with a provider.
Be concise and direct with the provider when making initial contact. Unless instructions are provided by the provider within the ad, at the least, include where you found them (would give them a preliminary indication if the request is for escorting or massage), what city you are in, (incall/outcall) rate (if stated in ad, still confirm the rate), accepted payment method(s), proposed day and time availability, and duration. It could be as simple as, "Welcome to (city), (provider)! Found your ad on (site ad). Would like to confirm the $250 incall rate and whether you accept Venmo or PayPal. If so, are you available on (day), (date) at (time) for (duration)? Thanks!"
Be clear on what your non-negotiable minimum requirements are for the experience, and make sure that those are aligned with the provider.
Be clear and aligned with the provider on payment methods and logistics.
Be upfront and specific with the provider on existing disabilities, skin condition, or other circumstances of which the provider should be made aware.
Come excited and with an open mind during the appointment. Enjoy the experience.
If the experience is not going as intended (e.g., your non-negotiable minimum requirements are not met), depending on the situation (safety, appetite for repeating the experience) and comfort-level, discuss the feedback with the provider during the session. As well intended the communications might have been, there could have still been disconnects, and being upfront gives the provider the opportunity to course-correct or agree with the feedback.
Depending on the preference of the provider in receiving feedback or rating on the review site, provide an honest and objective feedback.

I understand that there may be different or dissenting opinions or thoughts as we all have different experiences and insights. Feel free to voice your advice.

Not sure how it would be useful. It's a hookup app and proximity based, you can't create external links to profiles, and people sign up and delete profiles frequently.
 
The only thing that seems close was a reddit board where people posted screenshots of particularly racist or obnoxious profiles, but you'd never be able to take that info and easily find the person.
