Exactly. There is so much in The White Lotus that is foreign to what is found on ABC. Here is the New Yorker piece, linked below. I skimmed it and seems to be free too many spoilers. The Brilliant, Biting Social Satire of “The White Lotus” Mike White’s HBO tragicomedy is one of the best shows of the year.

I lived down there after college and remember the oppressive heat and humidity during the summer, compared to where I came from in the Midwest. That said, it might not be quite as hot as Houston. 😊 Georgia isn't on my list of places to move back to, but I've learned to never say never.

Who didn't love Aunt Butch? I wanted more scenes with Margo Martindale and Lois Smith.

Nebraska and Iowa football fans remind me of each other. Nuff said! Some are predicting Texas will see their football fortunes fall going to the SEC in the same way Nebraska has achieved much less in the Big 10 vs. the old days. I lived in Omaha during the good old days. I have to wonder how their fans are reacting now to an underachieving program. Not well I expect. Let's see what Texas does in the SEC. 🐂

I'm nearly convinced Rachel just took a break from or split with Shane. Perhaps Armond will expire from too much partying. Murder doesn't seem likely to me at this point. But I'm totally guessing. i don't know. I keep thinking how The White Lotus is lacking a lot of what Big Little Lies had, big budget actors and a more compelling a story.

The first epi tells us someone goes home in a box. By the end we'll learn who it is, or not. I always like Molly Shannon. Murray Bartlett had some of the best lines.

I assumed the women's attire was for ratings. Do the skimpy bikinis actually help performance?

Finished 1st epi of The Great. Pretty good. I like Nicholas Hoult. Quite a different role from Tolkien.

I never saw her perform live. Is it fair to say not many of us have? I did see Buyer and Cellar 4 times, so there's that. 😁 This, from her upcoming release of material in August, sounds so beautiful.
