  1. Finally watched it. Was a good show and good for me to hear.
  2. I watched Operation Hyacinth, a newer movie on Netflix getting some buzz. Enjoyed it. Story takes place 30+ years ago, in Communist Poland.
  3. @Doe Be Doe There are vlogs on YouTube discussing travel with cats. Maybe you've already looked at some. I watch this guy. He might answer questions. Kudos for bringing your cats with to your new life. I have moved cross country with dogs. I knew they'd be a handful. It's the nature of the beast(s). Hope all goes well with your move.
  4. I like the Culver City idea, mentioned above. Lot of choices for dinner. I love K-ZO , an upscale sushi place. The staff is young and sharp looking. Went there for dinner after work with a friend and sat at the sake bar, up front. The bartender was a cute, friendly young dude. Afterwards, you can stroll up and down the boulevard. The Culver Hotel might be a destination for cocktails and music. Check their Website or call them. If you are into history, the Wizard of Oz was filmed in Culver City. The cast stayed at the Culver Hotel. You'll definitely find more friends of Dorothy in Culver City than places like Manhattan Beach.
  5. Dude, don't use the queens of West Hollywood or the trolls of the internet as an important benchmark for your life .....
  6. I'm reading On Earth We're Briefly Gorgeous by Ocean Vuong. You guys make an impressive reading list. Glad to know there is such a literary bunch among the members.
  7. I appreciate how he frames issues. I need to watch. It's in my queue.
  8. I am loving the (T-Mobile) base cam.
  9. Isn't Karma working against the Astros? Hope so.
  10. Red Sox won yesterday. 😁 Good luck tonight Dodgers
  11. The weekend morning show is really popular though. He seems to be a good fit. I enjoy watching Mark while I wake up on Saturday. ❤️

This Tripadvisor link has some fun pictures. No performances are posted yet for April time frame. One may need to be quick to get a ticket. For example, the Sam Harris shows in 4 months, the main room and alcove appear to be sold out. I luv him. ❤️

i was looking for the Palm Springs thread and couldn't find it. I did find this post, so thank you Oliver for creating it! My comment is concerning a place in Palm Springs that might be fun to patronize at some point, especially for those arriving early or staying longer. It's call The Purple Room. I'd never heard of it before today, but ran across it while surfing the Internet. Looks like a fun place to see a show. Has anyone been to The Purple Room? IMAGE
  14. Would love to see the Red Sox and the Dodgers in the World Series. I expect all of my friends that are Giants fans are cool to that idea.
  15. One of these us going in near me. Glad to know it's recommended. There CEO sounds like an outstanding fellow.👍👍👍
  16. I'm not clear. You say your roommate was "a whore" (your words), he was using you and yet he was your friend? Are you labeling him as a whore in a bad way? If you reach your goal of having lots and lots of sexual partners, will you consider yourself a whore? The good kind, like some of us? 😂😂
  17. I listened to a piece on NPR about supply chain dynamics and why the system won't automatically fix itself. The expert was a Harvard professor. I know that won't impress some people, but I was convinced. He explained supply chain factors and the dynamics currently affecting supply, things most of us wouldn't think about. In this modern age of scapegoating and conspiracy theories, I won't be surprised if this becomes political even though it shouldn't. When I look across to the unusually long queue of cargo ships from Asia waiting to unload at the port, it's clear that the supply chain is far from reaching equilibrium. That said, I never complain about prices. What good does it do to worry and complain about something so simple, where I have little or no control over it?
