Had a chance to visit this area recently, and was interested to see or experience some of what is available and advertised. I learned the hard way the lesson of trusting sites that are operated from the Mainland (with branch offices in Hong Kong, for instance). They depend on photo models from throughout China who they lure to the cities for the promise of quick money. Many are definitely not escorts nor even trained in the bare minimum aspects of it; most have no knowledge whatsoever of any language except Mandarin (and only few would know Cantonese). They are also masters of "bait an switch" -- you make a booking for one guy and another guy from the site shows up at your door. So use with extreme caution:

One word of caution from the above three (who as you can see, use or interchange the same models' photos) -- men from the mainland cannot travel freely to Hong Kong or Macau, but can come into these special areas for a limited time (many stay just across the border); once they enter, they can only stay so many days before they have to leave. The roster of "who's available" changes daily because of that.
 
In meeting them, I was told by a local man "Never give them your hotel room number! Always insist to meet them in the lobby." @ArVaGuy and I have been working the past couple of months to put together plans for next year's gathering, and we'll be co-hosts. As with past DC gatherings, the weekend will span the MLK weekend, and coincide with Mid Atlantic Leather (MAL). There will be a range of get-togethers, culminating in the traditional brunch on Sunday, January 14th.
 
Last year's effort for the gathering had the best of intentions, but fell short when a venue for the brunch was not arranged. No harm, no foul, but not something anyone wants to have happen again. For this next year's event, arranging the venue for the brunch has been the first order of business, and it's been all confirmed. This event WILL happen, and you can start making arrangements with confidence.
 
Along the lines of making arrangements, we wanted to post an announcement early particularly for those interested in booking a hotel room in the MAL host hotel, or one of the hotels nearby. As of this writing there are still rooms at the MAL host hotel, but in year's past the host hotel has sold out well in advance of the event. In the interest of being constructive, here's my alternate suggestion: Both more fair in theory and more productive given the number of escorts available would be for you to start from a more specific place. Identify, say, 10 escorts you're interested in and do your own independent homework. See if there are existing "411" threads about them. If they're dormant, revive them with a question. Then, you could post links in this thread to the ads of escorts you're interested in who don't already have such threads seeking more specific info.
