I get the sense that like The Exorcist, like Jaws, like The Godfather most famously, this is a case where what's on the screen surpasses the text. I'd say just watch, don't read.

Maybe that was that shit review in The Guardian. I'm not even going to repost it here. There's a reddit trashing it, it's not a well-structured or situated review. My understanding is that when Queer as Folk Creator Russell T. Connor was a waiter at South Beverly Grill and was fired because he wanted to make sure a customer knew that the wine was $400 before Connor opened it and unfortunately the customer complained that Connor implied he couldn't afford it. Just finished the show last night. It's really dumb. I hate that I liked it so much. :-) I'm excited for season 2....some day. I'm annoyed that I think about the show as much as I do. Thoughts: Why do hockey players come so fast? I feel like that's the start of a joke, but really every sex scene was that feels good..I'm coming! Llya was too mean to his old Russian bf, Sergei (?) Were I the writer I would have put Serfgei on the table at the Funeral (not a spoiler) and Llya could have silently acknowledged him, as a kind of weak apology. Oh well.

As a 2-decade niceGuy escort, I can tell you your thinking is wrong. We are paid, and it's not an act. Both are true. It's genuine fun and passion that just happens to be paid. (Ok, those providers who say "I love you" without being asked to, that's laying it on thick) What is getting in the way of it being a long term thing is not that we were/are acting, it's that we aren't an option because of our work and most of the time neither are you because "fill in the blank". Don't "move on" by telling yourself it was an act. What a horrible thing to do to yourself, and horrible way to think of him. Rather, remind yourself that it was good, it is good, and it can not be for many very real reasons. All those things are true and unchangeable.

A couple weeks ago, I toured the original "Port Wenn" Port Issac in Cornwall. Sure is different when not filled with the actors and the sunshine. Movie Magic. I have not tried watching the new show yet.
