I don't know if any of you are old enough to watch CBS Sunday morning (between Murder She Wrote and Matlock), but here is the longer unaired version of the interview. Is they the youngest looking (and acting) 38 year old ever?

Am I missing it, or is there really no discussion of Cole or of Oh, Mary! ? Doesn't seem possible. nytimes.com WWW.NYTIMES.COM nytimes.com WWW.NYTIMES.COM

The Picture Of Dorian Gray
Rod Hagen replied to + BenjaminNicholas's topic in Live Theater & Broadway
Yes. Both are Gimmicky. Both are brilliantly realized and innovative and 100% hitech-dependent. And both are cornerstones in a kind of art we can't yet imagine. -
Awkward Porn star and political Writer from the '70s, David Allen; people often called him the world's Oldest Twink. It fit.

Loved it. -
To Whomever?! WTF? Just "Whoever", sorry.

What did you think of the PBS Masterpiece series that finished a few weeks ago? I was lucky enough to see Wolf Hall and Bring Up the Bodies on stage in London. To Whomever reads this, the first book Wolf Hall is NOT an easy read, but it is most certainly worth your time and effort. The second, Bring Up the Bodies is also incredible, as Zippo5 said, and is an easier read. I'm ashamed to say I have not yet read the third book, how was it?

What did you think?

As much as I love Mary Renault, Marquerite Yourcenar was a cut above, and this book is a masterwork, a great novel in the truest sense of the word great: Memoirs of Hadrian These two books are something special as well: Gore Vidal's Burr And, as soon as you are finished with that, read: Gore Vidal's 1876 A Novel And, one more: Gore Vidal's Julian

It's a good idea to make some kind of note in the calendar. 11:30 Combo-Paul (More E, less Massage) or (ask about new job) (keep apartment warm++) whatever.

So fucking uncomfortable.

What level of restaurant and hotel do you go with providers?
Rod Hagen replied to Dingdi's topic in Questions About Hiring
When a couple's dinner at Spago or 21 Club (RIP) was $150, it was worth a splurge to spoil your new friend. Now that equivalents hover at $500 for two, why break the bank? If moderate is what works for you, do that. -
It's latin quod erat demonstrandum and can mean what was already proven. The person who started the group is a lawyer, so he thought that would be cute double speak since our Muscle Orgy Club knew it as Quality Erect Dicks. :-) It was a Los Angeles collective of about 50 muscular guys who had to be "approved" for the group. We had bimonthly orgies. The San Francisco group was called Sons of Bachus. This was all very very long ago. It was quite Gen X, you could never get away with that much exclusion now.

Nice guy. He used to go to all the QED parties back in the day. I fucked him in a hot tub just off the beach at one such orgy in Malibu.

Don't you fret, I'm sure they'll patch up things, they always do :-)

I was always honest with massage clients who asked as to the benefits of Massage. I'd tell them the data is thin, that the common line is that it helps circulation, but that too is thin. You should not get a massage directly over an acute injury, and a masseur should not be so greedy as to tell you that working on a recent injury will be helpful (it's harmful). It's easier to get a massage than to exercise. It's easier to get a massage than it is to work on stability. It's easier, but it's not better. Exercise is a pillar of Healthspan and Lifespan, Massage is a nice way to relax. Massage Can Help After a Workout, But Not for the Reason You Think - The New York Times WWW.NYTIMES.COM There’s no question it feels good and relaxes you. But does massage really affect sore muscles?

Never felt that way during an escort appointment, but certainly during Massage appointments where there was no talking, which is fine, my mind would wander far far away some times. The good thing about Massage is that you can do it on Auto Pilot for most of the body and then bring yourself back to earth for any area that needs focused attention. Escorting, I don't know, it's so intimate, to me any way, I can't see how someone could do that on auto-pilot, but it sounds as if they sometimes do. A therapist told me he fell asleep during three separate in-person sessions! (Not the same day).

Thank you for posting this. Howard is many things, chief among them is a very good interviewer who gets from his guests information nobody else can. What you said about ordinary people watching Max, reminded me of what Joh Oliver said about HBO. How do you know if you are Rich? If you're watching this show (Last Week Tonight) with your HBO subscription, you're Rich, and if you're using your friend's password, you're not.

Yes, in many ways it's a gimmick. A truly impressive gimmick. I think the more important thing is how ambitious it is and that it will compel others to do similar things that will eventually feel less gimmicky (I mean do we really need to watch the characters walk and drive so much? :-) ) Probably true of much innovation, you gotta be the first so there can be better. The camera transfer from hand to Drone at the end of the second episode blew me away, and I'm so glad in the youtube video I posted above that they show how they did it.

Watch the unbroken takes for each episode. Amazing.
-
Loved the Third episode, the kid is a great actor! One more to go.
-
The single Takes are amazing. I'm unimpressed with the acting, except of course for the father, who is always great. I've watched the first two episodes, and I think it moves too slowly and worst of all I can't understand almost anything they are saying. I wish I liked it. But I will finish it, given it's event TV.

Is it common for providers to ask for a client’s pic?
Rod Hagen replied to hwic04's topic in Questions About Hiring
Can't imagine asking people for photos when I started in '99. Ok, what I need you to do is stand in front of a mirror with a Polaroid. Scan the photo at Kinkos and upload it to a Zip drive. ZIP DRIVE. Ok, first you'll have to go to Best Buy.... -
At night I sleep with my partner, a knee pillow, and The Blankie I've had since I Was 1 years old. I love it so much that I had someone make another identical one for me in case anything happens to it. Dad is 86 years old and he still has his Toddler Teddy Bear, though he doesn't sleep with it. Mom's bed in her assisted-care facility is a panoply of Teddy Bears sent with my Mother's Day FTDs.

Ads that are unsettling to see.
Rod Hagen replied to viewing ownly's topic in Questions About Hiring
Back to the original post, 20+ years later I'm appalled at how much of an asshole I was to forum posters like Marc Anthony and SilverDollar, attracted to escorts who look like ****schoolers. I have no idea if it was more jealousy at them taking away from me, irrational, me being late 20s and early 30s at the time, or envy of their youth. Whatever it was, I was a dick and I made much too much of a big deal about how the ads creeped me out. People like what they like.
