Absolutely. I get tons of points by using my AMEX for virtually all purchases. I pay the card in full every month. During the extended shut down of Covid that card came in handy paying bills when my cash was needed to cover mortgages that were normally paid by tenants. Well...if you book a one hour appointment it IS expected that you PAY for the hour, whether you change your mind or not. If you go to a restaurant and order food...you don't get to pay for just what you ate.

What about tipping well "upfront" feels "yucky" ? If I try someone new and I enjoy them, I always tip generously. That starts the relationship on a good note if you return. I see nothing yucky about wanting to show that you're a good repeat customer.

Typically ...no. Sometimes, yes. You cant really assume why communication struggles in ANY relationship of any kind. There are a multitude of reasons why people take forever to get back to you.

All that can be handled legally without a marriage contract. Your only real benefit in marriage is taxation. For gay couples, owning property in common was always insulting when their life partner would pass and you'd need to pay inheritance tax on something that was already yours! With this fellow, you haven't built a life together so protecting him from inheritance tax isn't the same priority. Your home is NOT his home. He IS inheriting it. I would suggest a few years living together and see how that goes before entertaining a marriage contact that could lead to an expensive divorce if the "taking out the garbage" lifestyle isn't as appealing as the vacations together.
