If a provider asks for too much money, most clients skip over and find a different provider.  
If too many providers ask too high a rate, and continuously gets turned down for the high rates, provider rates will come down. 
It goes both ways.  The recession hits the client and also hits the provider. 
It is just a matter of time before providers realize that their rates are out of line with reality.     
 

$400 is too much... For you.

But don't speak for the entire industry, especially the working guys who can and do charge that rate without any push back. 

Look at escorts the same way you look at a night out of entertainment, whether that's a movie or a nice meal. There are going to be cheap options and there are going to be expensive options, but you don't get to go to a restaurant and complain to them that they're charging too much for their meals. You know what you can do? Move on and find a different restaurant or form of entertainment.

I wholeheartedly agree. 400 is over the top, it's not like buttholes are scarce. What providers have to understand too is that, just as inflation is affecting their daily living, it's also hitting us, clients, hard, too. Which would you rather, 300 or none at all? Instead of demanding more, you could have more clients at 300. Yeah, I know, hosting, prepping for the meeting. But, if you stay a week in a city at an AirBnB and average 3 clients a day that's 4,500 per week at 300. On top of the benefit of building your reputation, it's a win-win for the provider.

If you're a lawyer or a Doctor, I'm sure $400 is not a problem.  But for average Joes, this is simply highway robbery!!  There has to be a line of demarcation when enough is enough, and I say that is $300.  I get the old supply and demand side of economics, but there must be common sense.  It's just buggery, not creating new art or writing a play.  My solution (tongue and cheek, so to speak) is that customers form a union and demand LOWER fees, or we go on strike!

Okay, I will weigh in here. Each situation is different just as each person is an individual and therefore different. Those who may recoginize my posts know that I have had several "arrangments"  over the last close to 10 years now. I am single but have a very full life, so I am really not looking for someone 24/7. He is the best of all and I will probably pay him more if it stays as positive.  All of these guys have had gainful employment and saw me about once every 6 weeks. I am sure that I wasn't the only one they saw, but maybe the only one that compensated them.  They all ended pleasantly for good reaseons, got out of school, transferred etc. I have great memories of all and would greet them fondly if our paths crossed.
