  2. Sao Paulo was one of my favorites cities in the world. In addition to the fabulous rent-boy saunas, there was the Praca da Republica that had hustlers galore. And, there were many "cines" (theatres that showed sex movies) where one could meet some gorgeous hustlers. I decided to return to Sao Paulo last week and I noticed a major and depressing scene. The only thing still in tact from my prior visits is the sauna Lagoa that was moved and downsized a few years ago. The replaced Lagoa was busy each night I went there. There were many handsome garotos available. Today, I went to the Praca da Republica. It is now filled with hustling drag queens instead of garotos. There was not one male hustler in the park like in prior years. I then went to a former "cine" that had been very popular and where numerous garotos were available for a fee. After I paid my entrance fee and went inside, I was shocked to see the place was empty. I went to another formerly popular "cine" and it was boarded shut. I then decided to walk over to a restaurant that I had known and liked. I knew that the restaurant had been closed during the virus pandemic. I entered the restaurant but there were only a few customers using the restaurant. I looked around the restaurant and saw that much of it has been torn down and the cooking area was reduced to a fraction of its prior size. I decided not to eat there. I also walked to a few other places I formerly enjoyed but those places were boarded shut. If anyone who formerly knew Sao Paulo well, expect a big shock if you visit there at the present time. I plan to check out the sauna that supposedly replaced the old sauna, Fragata. Last time I was there in January of this year, the place had few customes and garotos. Also, two new saunas started up earlier this year but they are no longer in existence. If the Fragata replacement is doing well, I will report back, hopefully, with good news. The guys I knew from the site vivalocal.com no longer advertise. Bottom line? Lagoa sauna is the only remaining fun place that withstood the virus. Those going to Sao Paulo and using Lagoa, will have a spledid time. Nothing lasts forever.
  3. Have you looked into the feature of Global Entry called "Interview on Arrival" To use this feature you have to be arriving in the U.S. from an international trip. Instead of going through regular immigration, there is a special line for this service. If you decide to try it, check the local rules to be sure it is still available. Or, you can use a link I posted back in February that has a lot of information about Global Entry. Here is that link: https://www.flyertalk.com/forum/trusted-travelers/1426118-global-entry-renewal-120.html
  4. What about the word we see so often in posts to this forum and elsewhere - no one, often mistaken as noone and no-one.
  5. There is much discussion above concerning various words and/or phases that some deem inappropriate of overused. Let us not forget the famous book that many of us were required to have during our education - Elements of Style: https://www.thriftbooks.com/w/the-elements-of-style-by-eb-white-william-strunk-jr/249214/item/10517008/?gclid=Cj0KCQjwlK-WBhDjARIsAO2sErS7UuWYnklB0GGKAfWzlik24Ygi1e8PAU3JAxJ-ZQUaF1P_vkt5PWQaAuc9EALw_wcB#idiq=10517008&edition=2330062
  6. It is not about being able to afford rentmen. Rentmen is cheap. Paying the small monthly fee of $9.95 to rentmen does not impress anyone except for a braggadocio. I do not belong to their site because of my not wanting my personal information from my credit card to be on a site like rentmen. Escorts (providers) get paid in cash. No written trails are left.

  8. As noted upthread, the only clients that can post a review to a rentmen providers' advertisement is a paying rentmen client. Because of that new rule, I see an immediate overall devaluation of the meaningfulness of reviews posted. I have several friends who hire from rentmen but they are not paying customers of rentmen. My friends have posted many useful reviews over the years. Obviously, they will not be submitting future reviews because of the new rentmen rule to accept reviews only from paying rentmen clients. I also use rentmen and I am not a paying customer of rentmen and I have, in the past, posted honest reviews of providers. My reviews will no longer be accepted unless I pay rentmen for the review feature. It is obvious that because of the new rentmen rule, a lot fewer reviews will be posted in the future to providers accounts. Non "premium rentmen" clients who have a good experience with a provider cannot write a review. Likewise, non "premium rentmen" clients who have a terrible experience with a provider cannot post a warning review. There is no question that the value of rentmen reviews have lost a great amount of value by not allowing all actual renters of providers to post a review simply because the client does not pay rentmen a fee. I would think the providers would complain to rentmen about the new rule.
  9. How true in too many instances. Lots of providers have an enormous ego that causes them to think their time is more valuable than the time of the person who will be paying them. Clients are often regarded as "time wasters" because clients want to be sure the merchandise (providers) they are about to "rent" is accurate and really what they want.
  10. As Margaret Hungerford said, "Beauty is in the eye of the beholder." So it seems, with rentmen reviews and its providers. Rentmen reviews supposedly depend on the views and opinions of the person who met with the provider. Those of us who have hired from rentmen have sometimes experienced less than stellar performance even from the all five-star providers and vice versa.
  11. The article that said the currency would be "worthless" was a Bloomberg article. Usually, Bloomberg is highly regarded and very accurate. I think it is misleading to state at the beginning of the Bloomberg article that the notes would be worthless after September 30th. But later, in a different paragraph of the same article, say that the old notes can be taken to a specific bank for exchange or can be mailed for exchange. Anyone mailing their notes for exchange would take a chance of losing the notes.
  12. (1) True, it is rare, but it happens. If it does happen, even if an annuity holder is among the first in line to get assets, what happens if there are no unattached assets? Again, annuities are not insured. (2) Fisher lies to investors? Strange they do not have the SEC after them for lying. I guess you do not like Fisher.
  13. Annuities are not insured. Some annuities guarantee income for life. But, if the annuity securities go bankrupt, that is the end of their promise for life. https://www.fisherinvestments.com/en-us/campaigns/air/nc?PC=GOOB993K28&CC=8JH8&gclid=CjwKCAjwwdWVBhA4EiwAjcYJEJsVIztEwHDGm558V8rrMedookyOOlVdbNYF050_u5CB1qyNRd7OShoCx8UQAvD_BwE
  14. What is the cost of plastic surgery in South Korea? The cost of plastic surgery in South Korea varies to a great extent. Depending on the type of procedure availed, the sot may range from $2000 to $8000 approximately. The figures thus mentioned are meant for standard procedures and may vary if accompanied by other procedures. Plastic surgery cost in South Korea may be as minimal as $825 for minor procedures, and may also soar up to $20,000 for prolonged luxurious treatment facilities. Such high variation is because there are several factors on which the cost of the procedure depends. The cost is calculated on the basis of procedure, type and extent of the procedure required, surgeons involved, the fee charged, residential care, the clinic from where the treatment is being availed, and the medical amenities required for performing the procedure. Popular Cosmetic Procedures in South Korea Cost Rhinoplasty $3,675 Upper Blepharoplasty $2,500 Lower Blepharoplasty $4,500 Facelift Surgery $4,200 Breast Augmentation $9,600 Abdominoplasty $4,000 Septoplasty $4,000 Otoplasty $2,450 Chin Implant $4,500
  15. And, do not forget what Oscar said - "To love oneself is the beginning of a lifelong romance."
  16. I think foreign visitors who like Sao Paulo would not agree with you. I visit Brazil often. I much prefer Sao Paulo over Rio because Sao Paulo has a lot of culture and many interesting things to see and do. Rio is fine but it is often too hot in the summer and the crime rate in Rio is far higher than that of Sao Paulo.

  18. The question has been asked but the original poster has disappeared for the present time and, hence, we do not know the age or answer to the question several posters asked or inferred.
  19. Agree but not quite the same. We do not know the age of the neighbor's son. Alfred Douglas, the person that got Oscar in trouble was age 24 at the time of police involvement. Back in Oscar's days (1800s) any homosexual act was illegal and brought a jail sentence if convicted for a male having sex with a male. That is why poor Oscar went to jail. Good thing times and laws have changed.
  20. He did not say how old the guy was. He referred to him a "kid" which could be any age. Danger lurks -
  21. As of today, he has eleven reviews. All five stars. His ad says that he is advertising "overnight only" for NYC and Philadelphia. Other places do not require overnights.
