I see that you are not getting any responses from your request for information about Porto Alegre. I suspect the lack of responses is because most members of this forum do not visit or have not visited Porto Alegre, I wrote "most". I visit Brazil (Rio and Sao Paulo) and parts of Europe often. A few years back, I visited Porto Alegre a few times. If one takes the time and expense to visit Brazil, Rio and Sao Paulo have far more to offer than Porto Alegre. There is not much to do or see during the day in Porto Alegre except for minor cultural items. The city is not particularly interesting compared to Rio and/or Sao Paulo. There are two saunas in Porto Alegre. My friends like the newer sauna (maybe ten years old or a little older) called Mezzaninu. https://spartacus.gayguide.travel/saunas/portoalegre-riograndedosul/95168_Mezzaninu It is in an attractive building but not conveniently located to the downtown area. The sauna has had its ups and downs as to being a fun and busy sauna to a sauna that had very few providers and clients. When the sauna was busy a few years ago, most Brazilian clients and providers were rather "aloof" and not friendly to most foreigners. I personally do not like the sauna. There is another sauna in Porto Alegro called Plataforma. The sauna is a converted old house. Many foreign visitors to that sauna do not like it. I personally prefer that sauna to the newer fancy one named above (Mezzaninu). I had many fun times in that place called Plataforma. https://spartacus.gayguide.travel/saunas/southamerica/brazil/portoalegre-riograndedosul/12421_Plataforma With flights into Rio and Sao Paulo where garotos and fun are plentiful, why would a visitor want to take another flight to travel another seven hundred miles only to see two more saunas located in a dull city? If you plan a long vacation in Brazil, it might be fun to travel to Porto Alegre for a weekend. However, if you take only a two or three week vacation, taking a side trip to Porto Alegre might be something you would not like. The above is only my opinion. You might find that you like Porto Alegre with its two saunas with not much to do during the days.

is this the "new normal" attitude?
coriolis888 replied to + DrownedBoy's topic in Questions About Hiring
Did you ever think of the possibility that providers that you contact might not respond to your messages because your messages are condescending and lack empathy like your above message above that I am quoting below? One example is when you wrote - "May I ask what century you are living in? Mobile phones are called mobile because they are......... wait for it.......... MOBILE! You can take them anywhere and talk to anyone........ any time." Mobile phones might not be answered for a number of reasons. One example is if the cell phone owner is driving. A person can be ticketed for using a phone while driving. Cell phone batteries fail et cetera. There are numerous other reasons someone might not respond to you within your 30 minute requirement. Then, of course, there are some escorts that have a bad habit of ignoring messages. Every now and again, we get lucky and find that our countless ignored messages get rewarded when we contract with a splendid and compatible provider. -

Have you considered that escorts have things to do besides waiting by a telephone for a message that might or might not arrive? For example, what if an escort is involved with a project that cannot be interrupted? What if the escort is driving or is at a market or is with family or is doing a variety of things that occupy day-to-day life? What if the escort is not near his telephone making him not available? The above represents merely a few reasons an escort might not respond to a text message within your expected "thirty minutes" or so. We all have different expectations. However, I believe that it is too demanding to expect a thirty minute response from an escort (or from most people for that matter). Reasonable people can disagree. -
Agree. During high inflation, people spend their money on necessities like food, housing, gas et cetera. That means entertainment and providers likely will have to adjust fees downward to attract customers.

05/05/2020 More than 15 million people—equal to the population of Manila, or Rio De Janeiro, or the entirety of Zimbabwe—have died as a result of the coronavirus pandemic that began more than two years ago in Wuhan, China, the World Health Organization said. That’s one out of every 500 people on Earth. They were mostly individuals killed by the virus, but also included those who died of other afflictions because health systems were overwhelmed by the infected. Though the U.S.—long the leader in confirmed infections and deaths—has now surpassed more than a million known fatalities, the new report says a larger number of deaths were in India. —David E. Rovella Bloomberg is tracking the coronavirus pandemic and the progress of global vaccination efforts.

Speaking of tipping, not just for escorts: https://retailwire.com/discussion/is-tipping-out-of-control/

No, it was a 2 hour session for $350.00 PER HOUR ($700.00) No tip necessary

One could reasonable conclude that the extra payment you made is a tip.

Sorry, no. I doubt that I will return to Budapest until and unless that anti-gay hating prime minister is out of office. Even then, it will depend on which party takes over and what kind of laws they pass concerning the gays. Currently, the gay scene in Budapest is nothing like it was a few years back.

I was hoping to read that you were joking about "no healthy person has died from it (covid). My dentist, who was age 47 and who played tennis regularly and went to a gym five or six times each week died of covid last January. He was not overweight and was healthy by his doctor's standards and the standards of society. Because he appeared so healthy and only had a fever of around 101, his doctor told him to stay home and isolate whenever possible. He was also told to take a fever reducing aspirin type medication. One morning his wife tried to wake him but he was dead. Because he was relatively young and healthy appearing, his doctor would not sign his death certificate. An autopsy was ordered. Autopsies are not routine anymore except in the case of relatively young people dying or suspicious deaths. His wife showed me his death certificates which clearly states that he died of covid. Maybe he is an exception.

Recommendations on Budapest? Read the below linked article. The article likely explains why many of the former and popular gay places no longer exist. Action Bar, for example, was one of the most popular gay places to meet providers. It is now closed and has been closed for about four years or so. On my last trip to Budapest in January of this year, the city was almost unrecognizable, except for monuments and business places I remembered. But the fun gay life was markedly changed for the worse. https://www.vice.com/en/article/v7d848/lgbtq-referendum-hungary

What's a traditionally "unattractive" feature that you find attractive?
coriolis888 replied to + 7829V's topic in The Lounge
If you have a VPN and can read the expanded narrative reviews for the provider, you will see many long reviews. Reading through the many reviews gives the impression that the reviews may have been written by the same person or coached by the same person. One of the negative reviewers commented that he thought some of the reviews were written by his friends. None of the narrative reviews mentioned his prosthetic. -

Actually, there is a "gold star" issued by the military to the family of deceased military personnel. However, it would not apply to an individual who is still alive. So, yes, the guy, as you wrote, told you a "fake military story" How do you earn a gold star in the military? If their service member died in service, the family replaced the blue star with a gold star. The gold star let the community know that their service member died or was killed while serving their country. -

Good idea, will open new thread for the changes about Vienna effective 2022

You made very good points. Providers who insist on being paid in advance somewhat "shoot themselves in the foot" with respect to a possible tip for good service. This is because the incentive to include a tip in the fee is somewhat diminished because money already was transferred.

Providers use various methods to have a bad review removed from their rentmen advertisement. If you see a rentmen ad that shows only five star reviews, make sure you see many positive reviews in the ad rather than just one or two positive reviews. Also, look at the length of time the provider has been advertising on rentmen. Sometimes providers change their screen name after they accumulate several bad reviews. That way, they can pretend to be a new advertiser. We, as clients, must realize that a new advertiser could be simply an old advertiser with a new screen name. Numerous positive reviews give more assurance the provider is valid if the positive reviews cover a long period of time. However, despite the numerous reviews over a long time, there still is no guarantee about the provider. If you wonder how a bad review gets removed just remember that the provider is paying rentmen for the ad. If the provider threatens to cancel his ad or is a good "con" man, the bad review will be removed from the ad. Money talks!

"Seems like people like" you and your lurker buddy like to ignore forum rules and make personal attacks at other forum members. Funny thing though, the following day after I researched and posted about the provider, the provider received his one and only rentmen review. That review was a negative one star review along with a negative comment about the provider "Not a nice person" The review also said the photos do not match the advertisement. The review was from an established rentmen client. https://rent.men/ObjectifiJackson So, what you and your Lurker buddy call "ranting" turned out to be an accurate description and accurate warning about the provider that the thread originator asked about. Your apology is accepted.

Does it make you feel good about yourself to mock a forum member on an anonymous board?

Thank you for the nice comment. What a timely and negative review of the provider that was recently posted in his rentmen ad! Based on the inconsistencies in his ad together with the negative review, you were likely saved from an expensive and disappointing experience if you had hired him. You did the forum a great service by asking about the provider.

Thanks for alerting the forum to the first review of the person who had so many contradictions in his ad. The main contradiction was the photos in his ad did not match the photo of the professional model he falsely claimed to be. The client who wrote the review commented that the photos in the ad did not match the person.
