  1. I am not sure how dirty it was. It was very old and needed painting. It certainly looked like it had seen its day. I am surprised that a replacement sauna similar to the sauna in Barcelona did not open in Madrid.
  2. Madrid did have an escort sauna. However, the sauna that had been there for years is closed. One of the reasons it closed was the rotten way paying customers of the sauna were treated by some of the sauna employees. Another reason was that not very many good-looking escorts came there because of the rude treatment they got from employees. The sauna closed several years ago. Bottom line? When you have paying customers to your company, be nice to them (or go out of business).
  3. The thing that likely puzzles many of us is that all of his rentmen reviews are five stars. How can that be? Even though he is roughly twenty years more than he says he is in his rentmen ad, those who have written reviews all give him five stars. If the reviewers did not have a good experience, those reviews would likely have been negative and/or someone would have commented about his false age that he claims in his ad.
  4. Nice guy. However, he insists on payment prior to involvement.
  5. Ever since Sauna Gran Via and Black and White Bar closed, it appears that Madrid has lost contact with gay-4-pay arrangements in a public setting. Now, Barcelona, on the other hand, is quite a treat.
  6. There used to be a garoto sauna in Madrid that was claimed to be like the sauna in Barcelona. However, it closed years ago. I can understand why it closed. Most sauna employees were incredibly rude to most customers. Moreover, the garotos were mostly ordinary in looks, unlike the many beauties found in Barcelona Thermas. Here is a link to an old post about that sauna that suggests employees might have contributed to the sauna going out of business due to their rude behavior. Is Sauna Adan in Madrid still open? - European Men and Destinations - Gay Guides Forum WWW.GAYGUIDES.COM I saw a review yesterday on Nighttour which said it was closed.,is this true? If so what are the other options in...
  7. You are likely correct. To me, the sound on the video is not clear.
  8. They do? What about this famous wrestler who got arrested for setting up a sex meeting with a male escort?
  9. Thanks, your answer makes perfect sense. I had not thought about the lack of reviews being attributable to rentmen status.
  10. Is there a possibility that you could reword the above. I read it a few times but I do not know what it says. Thanks for understanding.
  11. Rentmen is based in Germany. It would be difficult and expensive to go after them with a lawsuit. It would be easier for a European to file against them if the European answered one of rentmen's advertisements. Your idea of pursuing Rentmen legally is interesting. Many of the Rentmen ads are greatly misleading in many facets. Rentmen serves a good purpose for many in our community. Thus, I would not like to see the company face legal problems or go out of business.
  12. Thank you for the clarification.
  13. I have been to Thermas many times. I was never aware of any American working at the sauna in Barcelona. I assume it is possible. However, in Zurich, at Paragonya, one time I met an American working there. That was about three years ago. I asked the American why he chose Zurich for work. He replied that he and some of his friends/acquaintances do a "tour" and go to various saunas and clubs around Europe. He also said that some of his traveling friends are Canadians.
  14. He must read this forum. In my prior post above, I commented on his expired ad bordering on being rude. I just read his new updated ad since he renewed it. The bordering rudeness is now gone.
  15. If you had listened to the court video, you would have heard that the case would remain unsealed for two years, after which, the case would be sealed from public access.
  16. You leave after driving forty or fifty miles to the escort, after he pulls that unexpected advance payment stunt? That is a lot of driving time, especially if one lives in a large city. You said that you would leave. What about others out here who drive or travel a long way only to have the escort change the rules and insist on advance payment? There is no question that the rules for hiring have changed in favor of the escort, considering the relatively new high hike in prices and the ever-so-common advance payment demand. Has anyone reached a "happy Medium" so to speak, with advance payment, together with a long travel trip to the escort?
  17. This guy has been advertising on rentmen only five months. However, he has no reviews. He is from Eastern Europe but speaks English quite well. Would anyone out here have any opinions about hiring a person from another country who has no reviews? He seems friendly and conversational. However, it seems that he should have at least one review (or more) in five months of advertising on rentmen. Any thoughts? 18. No response to this real-life situation? It is very popular now for escorts to insist on advance payment. They do not tell you this until you meet together. Often, after a long transportation trip to meet the escort. Sometimes the escorts insist on money after you are in bed together. There must be a happy medium for this relatively new popular stunt played by escorts.
  19. If anyone is interested, the link below will take you to the actual recording of the trial wherein Kyle Snyder was required to plead guilty or not guilty. Obviously, he pleaded guilty. He was fined $250.00 plus court costs of an undisclosed amount. He had also been required to take a paid course about how negative it is to hire a prostitute. It was pathetic to hear Kyle say, in court, that the "class" taught him about his behavior and about prostitution. In short, the court hearing required Kyle to agree that he was a negative person because he tried to hire a prostitute. I think the entrapment law of someone who merely tries to hire a prostitute is from a different era. Times have changed, but the outdated laws stay on the books that allow police to entrap and arrest someone for a non-violent "crime". Here is the link to the recorded court appearance of Kyle:
  20. If you expect an answer to your rude question, your method is not conducive to generating a positive reply. Had you taken the time to review numerous reports about the arrest, you would have seen, for yourself, that rentmen was mentioned as a source for the police to entrap the athlete.
  21. What if you spent a lot of time driving to the escort, and he springs the advance payment requirement? Do you leave?
  22. The arrest of Kyle Snyder should be a cautionary warning to those of us who hire from rentmen or from any other online site. In the instant case, Snyder had the "escort" (that he thought he was hiring) come to his hotel room. Instead of an "escort" coming to the room, it was a policeman who arrived and then asked for the money from Snyder. Upon Snyder giving the cop the asked-for money, several other cops suddenly came to the room and promptly placed Snyder in handcuffs and told him he was under arrest for prostitution solicitation. Further, it was heard in the video that one cop said to Snyder, It's time for your "walk of shame" which meant that Snyder had to walk down the hotel hallway (handcuffed and into the hotel lobby and (presumably into a police car, when he was taken to jail. Any thoughts about this? If this can happen to Snyder, it can happen to any of us who hire from online sites. Hence, although it might take extra time in hiring an "escort", it is safer to agree to first meet the "escort" in a local bar or other public place. If you meet the "escort" in public, it is unlikely that the cop will have several other cops waiting for you to offer the first cop money for prostitution. This could happen to any of us. Be careful and realize that the person who advertises and says he is an "escort" could be a cop (with additional cops in tow).
  23. This arrest created so many different news reports which makes it difficult to recall each source of what was reported. However, one ad was very clear that the advertisement was rentmen.
  24. But, did you read the opinion of RFK, Jr?
  25. Slave labor? If you factor in the payment (for several days escorting) to an escort for an overnight or an extended vacation, think of the money the escort is making, not to mention the fact that he likely does not report the money for income purposes (which saves him a chunk of money). Another thing, if there is a large difference between your ages, even though it is not always the case, escorts often have difficulty having sex with someone who is much older and not attractive to them. Just a couple of thoughts.
