  1. My mother was extraordinarily fertile - she had 10 full-term pregnancies, one of which was a stillbirth. At age 43, she gave birth to my youngest sister - only 14 months after the stillbirth.
  2. Be sure you the trust gives you that sort of discretion. Otherwise, you're giving the beneficiary grounds to sue you.
  3. I hope you are complying with the terms of the trust - not doing so could land you in hot water.
  4. Inaccurate - better said that it's not part of YOUR formula. . The OP is proof that there may be other formulas than yours.
  5. I have a BA in biology from one of the better land-grant universities, a MLIS from a campus in the Cal State system and a law degree from Purdue Global Law School, a fully-online program. I passed the California Bar exam on my first try. I financed all of it myself - and graduated from law school with no student debt. The salary for my first job after law school was truly eye-popping. And becoming a lawyer was a lifelong dream. I don't regret a single hour or a single dollar of my investment in post-secondary education. Now though, a path like the one I took may not even be possible because college and graduate school are so ungodly expensive.
  6. Yup - two days - you have to keep chilling the dough.
  7. I like Phoenix. Usually, I'm there for business, but I have gone there "just because" more than once.
  8. Several years ago, I was going to serve roast goose on New Year's day. I came down with a bad cold and had to cancel the dinner. I roasted the goose anyway and it was nearly inedible - it was so tough and stringy. I read, afterward, that you should always buy small geese to avoid that problem. I had bought the largest goose I could find.
  9. With just two pics, they would have to be great pics and the profile very well-written.
  10. San Francisco - same way. When my mother used to come to visit, the ethnic mix made her very uncomfortable.
  11. Yes Regé is wonderful. I love that car commercial where he gets out of the car, looks up, and his beautful smile gradually lights up his face.
  12. I was talking about Monsieur Hung. I agree with you that Rainer is very hot.
  13. Yes, he is "handsome," but completely lacking in sex appeal. Mitt Romney, to me, is another perfect example of a man who is very handsome, but devoid of sex appeal.
  14. To me, "classically handsome" is white-bread movie star handsome. Part of why they were so highly-prized is because they are rare. The notion of "handsome" has shifted so that many different physical types now fit under the umbrella of "handsome."

  16. I think classically handsome is an old-fashioned mid-century standard.. Yes, there are guys who are leading-man handsome, but it is not as valued in our modern multicultural society as it was in the last century.
  17. My first massage was when I was about 22 yo. It was at the Indian Hot Springs in Idaho Springs Colorado. He was a devastatingly hot guy about 30 years old. He seemed straight to me, but I remember he had a soothing laid-back personallity and I loved the experience
  18. Often, I know I am looking for therapeutic. In that case, I hire based on the guy's credentials and reviews. A couple years ago, I was just a week out from a hip replacement and my husband wanted me to get a massage so I chose a guy specifically with therapeutic in mind. He was a big guy and very gentle and careful, but it still went "there." I was into it though and very pleased. At the end, he scooped me up in his big arms and carefully helped me off of the table. My husband had paid him for two sessions and we could never get him to come by for the second session. Lesson learned.
  19. Maybe it's an issue of class. I worked with an Indian woman who was an engineer. I heard someone comment once that she didn't have an Indian accent. And she said it was because she had been educated in private schools where the instruction was in English. And if you think about it, Indian doctors and engineers tend not to speak with Indian accents - it's usually perfect Oxford English. The Indian hoteliers tend to have humble origins and to be from one state - Gujarat.
  20. This is fascinating - how did I miss it? When I think of Indians, I think of engineers and doctors. Reminds me of Cambodians and doughnut shops.
  21. I have noticed that if you go over a little bit, nobody seems to mind. I always shoot for 11A checkout, but sometimes I don't get out til 11:15 or 11:30. Nobody has ever said anything.
  22. As as matter of fact, some on the web call him Daddy Huberman.
  23. I have had both shots of the shingrix vaccine and had no reaction or sides from either shot. OTOH, I must be immune-suppressed because since I completed the two shots, I have had light cases of shingles, I think, 5 times. My PC doctor gave me a refillable script for valacyclovir.
