Yes, Secrets is different from most strip clubs. Dancers are buck naked, often with hardons. However there are no lap dances and you can’t touch their private area. You tip into their sock. I like the place however. BTW in DC strippers have to be paid as employees by the bar.
There used to be a lot of strip clubs in DC but gentrification has closed most of them.

Every other Sat night is DC Rawhides, gay country line dancing starting at 7. (Every other Friday is Daryl Wilson parties that have long lines and are expensive cover). Guys can "get friendly" and have touching between sets but not when they're dancing nude with erections. No hands between knees and waist on set. You can twist their nipples though. It'll be torn down for condos sometime soon as it was recently sold. The end of the wildest group of nude strip clubs/sex clubs in the US.... For a baseball stadium.

I have not yet found an event anywhere in the world that can get even close to the fun and hotness of the old Black Tuesdays @Wet. ?

gentrification is ruining everything in DC. Even good restaurants can’t stay open because of the skyrocketing rents.

I think it’s worse when you’re by yourself.

I am talking about real intimidating aggression. Nothing sexy at all.
It has been only a couple of times, but the last time the bar was nearly empty and I’m sitting by myself and this dancer cornered me and would not let me pass saying I had to take to the lap room. He was a pretty big guy. I had to shove him away and threaten to tell management. There was nothing sexy about it. It was unnerving. That was by far the worst.

I wasn't trying to disparage Alam by my comment. I think Tom Hulce (at this age) was very cute.

Better rate overall. Glad to hear the split is much more in favor of the dancer. Just might have to return next time we're in town.
 
I recall similar pricing at Cupids Cabaret back in the day. Ahhhh ... memories of some smoking HOT men. I've settled in to Johnsons. Best vibe of the clubs. Have had dancers break the curtain rule

Hmm, you have to wonder about the guys writing those reviews. A $15 cover charge is a pittance compared to what you'll spend on drinks, tips, and lap dances. Anyone grousing about a $15 cover is probably not the kind of customer either dancers or management want in the first place.
 
I don't know what drinks cost, but if the reviewers are complaining about a $15 cover, then I'm guessing drink prices aren't that outrageous.
