I notice this option is available on Dayuse for some hotels. You initiate and finalize all payments at the point of check-in or just pay a nominal reservation fee in advance online. The problem is: I am not a last-minute type of person, I cannot NOT plan ahead. So unfortunately, your smart approach of meeting in front of the hotel won't work for me.

That's one of the reasons why I'm usually more reluctant to choose providers who cannot host and state they can do out-calls only. Since I cannot host myself, it means I must book an overnight hotel room or find something on Dayuse, both of which become sunk costs. If it's the former, I will be more tolerant of any delays; if it's the latter, there is a time limit to my availability. Either way, it's a major psychological irritation and will likely reduce my inclination to repeat (even if the tardy provider eventually shows up and delivers as promised). I prefer to go to their places as I somewhat feel like I have more control over the arrangement this way. It's easier for me to bail out if I smell any irregularities. I hate to wait for people to show up. I'm more vulnerable to manipulations when I'm the one waiting. To answer OP's question: a 30-minute delay with a semi-legitimate excuse is acceptable. A 30-minute delay without any explanation is a true test of my patience and sanity -- I'll likely blacklist you for a very, very long time afterwards.

No matter how many times I do it in various different ways, it still feels very weird and awkward to me. I even told them directly this was one of the most uncomfortable aspects of the whole encounter. They just laughed and shrugged it off. I am probably the one who needs some attitude adjustments.

I know it’s 2026, but I still try to avoid electronic / traceable payment methods at all costs, especially when it comes to this hobby. I always put the Benjamins in a sealed envelope and hand it to the providers at the end before I leave. However, I notice that over 95% of the time, they signal me to just leave the envelope on the coffee table / nightstand / bed / sofa / massage table, evidently and intentionally dodging physical contact with the envelope even when I ask them to open it to make sure the amount is correct. All of them, without fail, decline and say something along the lines of “it’s OK, I trust you.” I am quite puzzled by this. So for those who prefer cash transactions: · Do you have similar experiences? · Are they afraid I’m some kind of undercover operations and they will be caught red-handed if they accept and open the envelope with their hands? · Do they really trust that I am putting the right amount inside? It could be a stack of monopoly money, you know. · Do you have any other ways to make cash payments (e.g. just the bills without the envelope)?

I'm sorry to say this, but I feel you got scammed big time. In my dictionary, $900 over the course of 3 nights is REALLY terrible pay, let alone the other ridiculous BS you had to put up with the whole trip. You should give yourself more credits for your time/value.

Did they expect full payments at the 15th minute mark? More importantly, did you comply? If you don't mind sharing, how did these 2 encounters conclude? Were they young/new or mature/experienced? Sorry for all these interrogations, but what you described were quite outlandish and I do not believe it's the new trend.

The rating system proposed by @Mark_fl would be very useful, assuming I have enough interest and time to read through each line item and description individually. However, it reminds me of a typical job performance evaluation in today's corporate world, which inevitably induces stress and anguish. For a 5-star rating system, my brain somehow translates a 5 into an A, a 4 into a B, and a 3 into a C. Anything below a 3 (aka C) will be unacceptable. In other words, to @SecretProvider's point, anything other than a 5 could potentially be damaging. For this reason, and to answer @RyanDean's question, I'd just ignore the request and let the provider stay at the "A" level.

Your statement reinforces my mantra: common sense is no longer common in this day and age. Everything must be spelled out explicitly with no room for (mis)interpretations. Otherwise, someone will get blamed and everyone will end up being bitter.

I have never booked a 1-hour session. All of my experiences have been at least 2-hour long. One hour is too short and too anxiety inducing to me. That said, a similar situation happened to me once before (around the midway, 1-hour mark). We went to shower together.
