  1. You’re only speaking about the US. In Canada most wildfires are caused by lightning. Canada has a larger landmass than the US and vastly more boreal forest areas.
  2. Smokey and his advice have long been discredited by environmentalists. It is better to let areas that are uninhabited to be subject to either controlled burns or letting natural occurrences burn themselves out. Prevents the buildup of dangerous fuel posed by dead trees and underbrush. And forests regenerate themselves. Not an exact parallel but you invoked his bad advice.
  3. You evidently don’t fully understand the dynamics involved in being a bottom and what constitutes sexual desire and what satisfies or quenches the thirst for close physical connection expressed in anal intercourse.
  4. I would said “an awful short time”.
  5. Everyone played bridge in our family back in the 50’s to 90’s. In the 50’s my mother played in an afternoon bridge club with other non working, stay at home moms. One day she received a telephone call from my father who had just learned his older brother had died unexpectedly at work. My mother had to drive over to her sister in laws bridge club to inform her that her husband had just died. Such was the drama of the 1950’s culture.
  6. Gas here in Ontario was $1.49 litre or about $1US today. That is the lowest since the mid east war started in Feb. I think that makes it about $3 US per gallon or a bit over. But the war is not over yet so oil could go anywhere in the near future.
  7. Have you compared the relative value each provides? Are the price differences justified? Services rendered, looks and physical appearances, skill sets etc.
  8. I didn’t end well for the originator of that quip.
  9. I have one regular provider and he has been with me for over three years. We see each other 6 or 8 times a year for overnights.or the occasional weekend. What I pay him covers his rent in Toronto in a $3000 per month apartment for 3 or 4 months. I know he has one other regular who does the same as me as we have to avoid conflicts on weekends when we want his services. He may have others. He makes enough with his regulars so he recently took down his ad on RM. He also rented a studio downtown exclusively for business. It costs him $2700 a month. Brand new building and three rooms and two baths. Living room set up as massage studio and bedroom with double bed. So he has high overhead but seems to have a successful business model. Toronto is a lucrative market but lots of competition. He plans to transition to another business when he turns 40, being 30 now.
  10. For a Brazilian rather unendowed. But if a bottom you’re looking for perhaps not important.

    OH options?

They call Cleveland the mistake on the lake. I’ve never been there so no first hand experience. I was in Columbas once many years ago and had a wonderful experience at the gay bath. Not an escort hookup though.
  12. I was dining in a nice upscale Italian restaurant yesterday and the two people beside me were a mother and daughter, the girl around 10 and mother 30ish. From the moment they sat down both were on the their phones. The mother put her phone down to eat. The girl ate bites between keeping her head down below the level of the table to scroll her phone. I thought to myself this will come to no good end. A parent estranged from her daughter and a socially inept young lady.
  13. Is that Hadrian’s wall?
  14. I looked it up . The actual quote is “We were in love with life. We were making more money than we ever dreamed existed, and there was no reason to believe it would ever stop.” Quite apropos to this story if Alfie.
  15. Paraphrasing Gloria Swanson, “We were young, beautiful and rich, and we thought it would never end”.
  16. That line has been used by many comedians and other celebrities. Chevalier didn’t coin it, I think. We’ve talked about it before but I forget the genesis of the phrase.
  17. 50 years ago when I bought my first house I also invested in a set of Baccarat tumblers and St. Louis stemware. Harcourt and Chambourd styles resp. as they matched. They have served me a lifetime and only one got smashed which isn’t bad for attrition.
  18. Why are you shilling for Alfie?
  19. Really. Well my memory failed me. I had and still have her earliest albums and thought Alfie was an early hit. 8 you say. Incredible. I guess Do you know the way to San Jose was also in that list. And I say a little prayer.
  20. These are gay for pay straights. Back when I was a Campus regular you could get them to fuck you or you suck them, it was all in a nights work. And then they went home to their girlfriends. With their pockets stuffed with cash. Their balls might have been depleted however.
  21. Nice gig. Hope he had lots of takers. I have reached the age where adventure travels are in my rear view mirror. Even longer tourist travels are over. I still enjoy a two or three day trip to a big city but otherwise enjoy my garden and home to relax in.
  22. If you were of a certain age like I am, you would also remember the hit tune by the same name taken from the film. Sung by a young Dionne Warwick and written by Burt Baccarat and Hal David. Won the Grammy and made Warwick a star.
  23. Maureen Dowd wrote a very insightful column on MM in the NYT today. One of her best. Captured the magic and tragedy of that very unique person that was Norma Jean.
  24. Oh yes. As another company says, Membership has its privileges.
