Our dollar hasn’t really “collapsed”. At around 72.5cents US to our dollar, it is 10 cents higher than when I lived in Miami at the turn of the century. And in the last 6 months it has strengthened against the US dollar as have most other currencies since the new president took over. Canadians fleeing the Florida market are doing so more because of rising insurance and other costs, and the unfriendly attitude of the current administration to Canada which is causing problems at the border.

I hate it when they say “ask me” on position. I like someone who is forthright about their preference for either top or bottom bunk. If they flip, say so or at least indicate your inclination such as vers/top or vers/bottom.

I love the location but I would want a more rustic style house on that lot. The type with gables and shingles on the walls and roof. A more weathered look with lots of dark wood in the interiors. Then open the windows at night and hear the ocean roar and the wind blow. Ummm.

If I compare that to the thousands and thousands I have spent on house insurance over the five decades I have owned properties and never made a single claim, it is one of life’s better deals. Now talking about great deals, car warranties are a good idea. I just had my transmission replaced on a new car I got last year and had only driven 14 months. The tranny blew and it was replaced without a quibble, a job costing over 10 grand, 9 speed all wheel drive. And they threw in a loaner to drive for the week it took to do the job.

I was hitchhiking in Sweden in the summer of 1969 and didn’t know that had just switched sides of the road two years earlier. The cars I rode in across the country all had steering wheels on the left. They must have had several years notice to get new vehicles that could handle the switch.

When I have left over boiled potatoes I take them out of the fridge and dice them. Then I spice them with garlic powder, pepper and paprika. I toss them in with bacon and sausage as I am frying them and toss the potatoes regularly until they are crispy brown. Along with fried eggs makes a great and calorific breakfast.

I loved rosti served with chicken or lamb cooked on an open fire grill. This was a real Swiss treat when I lived there and over the 25 years I made annual visits on business. There was one restaurant outside of Geneva in a small village which made these meals in a sublime way.

I smell a pump and dump. OTOH, a lot of talent in the organization. I have fond memories of Parliament House in Orlando, which they claim to be associated with. But that was decades ago so not sure what has happened there in the last 20 years.
