Murdered Detroit neurosurgeon was in relationship with male killer.
Luv2play replied to Charlington's topic in The Lounge
As it turned out, rough trade (RT). Back when being gay was illegal and there was no Rentmen, gays solicited RT in the rougher parts of town (often servicemen) and took their chances on getting roughed up or worse. Sal Mineo comes to mind. These days some people still do this and this doctor appears to be one of them. -
No matter how this turns out PV is going to lose some of its allure as a safe tourist destination.

My only consoling thought is that it was the end of a long drought for the US men’s hockey team to win gold at the Olympics. For Canada they have won it in recent history twice. I think they said it was 40 years for the Americans. And our superstar, Sydney Crosbie, the captain, was injured in the semifinals and couldn’t play. He scored the winning goal in overtime in a previous Olympics to win gold.

Got my second Shingles shot - have no fear, ask me anything!

Shingles is a viral infection so I don’t know why you took antibiotics to treat it. -

I’m 78 and got two Shingles shots just over a year ago. I did it on the recommendation of my doctor. An older brother and younger sister both had severe cases a number of years ago but another brother never got it. Three weeks later I had a shingles outbreak on my lower left leg, not too extensive but very itchy and bothersome. It went away eventually but has returned three times in a less severe form in the same place. The thing that consoles me is had I not had the vaccine, maybe I would have had a more severe case. -
I think some here are not comprehending what is going on in Puerto Vallarta right now. The place is under attack by the drug cartels and residents are being told to shelter in place. Flights have been halted from Canada.
-
Apparently the head of the drug cartel in Jalisco had been killed by federal forces thus accounting for the widespread violence in the state, including vPV.
-
Today it was announced violence has broken out in Jalisco, the state in which Puerto Vallarta is located. Fires have broken out in PV. A travel advisory has been issued and all flights from Canada have been suspended. This could spoil the upcoming holidays for North Americans.

Not so friendly reminder to Clients and Pros (Detroit, etc.)
Luv2play replied to JB_Studio38's topic in The Lounge
The Versace case is not really comparable to this murder of a Detroit doctor by a male intimate partner. Versace hardly knew his killer, who had met him at a party, and amongst the other victims of Andrew Cunanon were his ex boyfriend, a cemetery worker who had a truck the killer wanted to escape, and a wealthy Chicago man who had once known him. The Detroit killing was not perpetrated by an escort in the business we all are interested in. I’m not sure there are any lessons I can take away from this case. -
Good question. The term provider seems to be one used to obfuscate the service being provided so that the sexual aspect is downplayed. When I interact personally with escorts I refer to them as such face to face and they have never objected to me using that term. When we’re in bed I sometimes call them lovers and that also seems to go over ok. They know I respect them and the service they provide.

Has it been established that the US men’s hockey team will play Canada for gold on Sunday? -
Cute Critters to Take Our Minds Off Everyday Stresses

Without knowing the backstory to the photo of Colton and Eli, the dog, I posted an lol emoji because they were both sticking out their tongues. The picture touched me in a special way because my first dog was a Black Labrador retriever. Sad to learn of the fate of Colton. Glad to hear Eli had a second life after the tragedy. -
During the pandemic I had an escort spend the weekend at my place. During the day to pass the time I did a nude in coloured pencils of him lying on my sofa in the library. He was also an artist and did my portrait in coloured pencils. It was good but I’ve misplaced it. Wish I could find it. Don’t know if he kept my picture of him. I should ask him since I do see him the occasional time.

Yes, but not as much as I should. Some of my drawings have been published in books as illustrations. Also paint and do other media but just for my own pleasure. My career took me in other directions.
-
I looked up another drawing I did in that art class in 1967 and the model was completely nude. Cute also.
-
My old boyfriend called him Kurt Cokain.
-
I noticed this guy was wearing briefs but not all of them did. The females were always naked (or nude) lol.
-
When I was at university in the 1960’s I took a course in fine art drawing. We did drawings of nude models both male and female in charcoal. As I recall the sketches needed to be done in 20 minutes or so and 3 an hour. I got an A in the course and kept 2 of the sketches as keepsakes, 1 male and one female. I’ll post one.
-
Give the guy a break. Being deported is not a pleasant experience I am sure. The inconvenience to you is infinitely smaller than to him as his livelihood depends on his travel it would appear. Try to put yourself in the other person’s situation.

Everybody farts but how much is not widely known, apparently. A university in Maryland has undertaken a study to measure exactly how much humans expel gas via the rectum. They do it by using an instrument that can be attached to underwear. I listened to an interview by someone involved in the study and the said 62 times a day may be an average. Some were recorded at over 118. A previous study had suggested 14 times a day average but was very limited in numbers subject to the trials. This new study will have over 800 people wearing the devices. It reminds me of a standup routine Joan Rivers did once when she said self deprecatingly that as she aged she noticed she was farting more. The university dubbed their study the Flatus Atlas. Should be interesting what they discover.

We have cockroaches in Canada but because they thrive in warm climates and our frigid winters not as many as in southern climes. I have never seen one in any of my houses over my lifetime. When I lived in Geneva, Switzerland my upscale apartment had them and they were impossible to eradicate. My Swiss neighbours blamed the foreign diplomats from the third world who lived in our building saying they brought them in their household furniture but that is another topic. When I visited a friend in Manhattan in the 80’s in Turtle Bay in a nice doorman building it had cockroaches. Im sure practically every place in New York has them to some extent. So what is the big deal. I think stepping on it and then washing the area was the appropriate response.
