My cottage was only 60 km from Ottawa so only took an hour to get there as the last 20 kms were rough roads. But different from Cooper’s place, 1 hour north of Ottawa you can be in wilderness. No restaurants, clubs, other places of entertainment. Just Mother Nature. Which is more than enough if one is trying to leave the city life.

The thing missing from that picture I took on my dock that many years ago was the haunting sound of the loons when they cried at night. I think they were trying to attract mates. I would see the males in the daytime dancing above the water trying to attract the females attention as well. Maybe the night time cries were of frustration.

I didn’t see evidence of that in the photo of his two feet.

It appears to me having read his reviews that he does travel, just not to the United States. I can’t really blame him as I am not going there either since all the new procedures were put in place such as photo identification , fingerprinting etc. Too much hassle.

40 years ago I had a cottage and several of my neighbours were also gay.
