  1. I don't know.
  2. I tend to agree with you. Hard to imagine any casual tourism being allowed to go into Canada this summer. Maybe October and onward depending on whether there is a second wave or not.
  3. US/Canada border restrictions now confirmed to have been extended until July 21. https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/world/us-canada-border-restrictions-extended-until-july-21/ar-BB15zw9m
  4. According to the attached article, the US/Canada are in discussions to extend the travel ban between the two countries. I assume that will mean until July 21 and then the issue will be re-visited again in mid-July. https://news.yahoo.com/trudeau-says-talks-extend-canada-us-border-closure-180125261.html
  5. I watched most of it. I tried to connect via zoom but was unsuccessful...however I did manage to get the live feed from the Stock website (I have an account). It was mostly the DJ Anthony asking the other panelists questions. There were 8-9 other panelists each on their computers from home. You had a mini-screen live feed of each of them talking and responding. The dancers that attended were Nick, Frank, Kyle, Marco, and Ryan. They started clothed but then took off their shirts and also their pants. The other participants were the other DJ, barman Eric, and the coat-check man. It was all very light and fun. Nothing outrageous. No complete nudity that I saw. I did sign out about 1 hour 45 minutes into the webinar so whatever happened after I did not see. They said they had 50-60 participants attending the zoom session. There was some tipping of dancers.
  6. I'm sure you are right. It's the nature of the beast I suppose. When I lived in Houston, there was a food business there called Snap Kitchen. I note they now have 17 stores in Houston alone. They do all prepared high quality meals. You can have the meals delivered to your home or you can pick up the meals at one of the stores hence avoiding all the shipping packaging. Whilst I never used their service, it seems like a perfect solution. No matter what part of town you lived in, there was a store close by where you could pick up meals. I see they are in all major Texas cities and in some neighboring states too. Shame they have no locations in Michigan.
  7. I thought I'd follow-up on this thread as we have just completed our first week of Freshly meals. We ordered six in total meaning three for each of us. The ordering and delivery process went just fine. I was home when the box was delivered on the porch so I was able to carry it into the house. The box was heavy so there is no way mom could have carried it. The meals were still nicely chilled with all the packing. Overall, we felt the meals were good to very good quality/taste. Portion size was plenty for mom and adequate for me. We complimented the meals with a dinner salad on a few nights. The main downside we see is the amount of packaging involved for shipping. The actual meal trays and cardboard sleeves are no issue as they are easily recyclable. However the cooling gel-packs and the denim material insulation are substantial and seem very wasteful. They claim the denim stuffing is recyclable although I don't know how you do that. Regarding the gel-pack coolers, they recommend emptying the gel out of the plastic bags and into the trash. Huh? Wet gritty gel into the trash bin? We have a second week of meals coming on Tuesday. I think we will probably discontinue Freshly after that due to the wasteful nature of the packaging. It's a shame cause it could be a useful service and we did find the meals quite good. The pricing was acceptable too. They need to find a more environmentally friendly way to handle the packaging IMHO. Anyway...thanks to everyone for your contribution on this thread . I'm glad we tried the service. Perhaps we will return to Freshly if they make some needed changes to the packaging of the meals.
  8. Agreed. I would say that the last 4-5 years that the Gold Coast operated it was pretty lousy. Very few customers and very low quality dancers. I wouldn't have wanted a lapdance from most of the guys...even if it was free. if you don't have high quality dancers, people aren't going to go to the place. My sense was that it was poorly managed the last number of years. Really a shame. I had been going to the Gold Coast since the early 80's. It was a great club for over two decades.
  9. There was a wonderful male strip club in Windsor in the 80's called either JR's or JP's. It pre-dated The Happy Tap and was in a completely different location very close to the river. It was a large club serving a predominantly gay male clientele with many of the dancers coming from Montreal and Toronto. The Happy Tap was a sad replacement IMHO.
  10. Twist regular and South Beach LGBTQ icon Henrietta Robinson died of complications from COVID-19 in April. She was 79 years old. Henrietta was a fixture in the Miami gay scene for decades. I remember seeing her out and about at clubs and bars in the 90's when I lived in Miami. The last time I saw her was probably 2 years ago during a visit to Twist. Twist was considered her second home. If you ever went to the Twist cabana bar in back where the dancers perform, there is a good chance you saw Henrietta sitting at the bar getting a back massage from one of the boys. RIP Henrietta https://www.miaminewtimes.com/news/henrietta-robinson-obituary-miami-beach-lgbtq-icon-dies-of-covid-19-11614884 By the way, I posted this on the Twist thread cause that is likely where most people would have seen her.
  11. I won't be flying anywhere anytime soon. Too soon and too risky in my opinion. Having said that, if I were to decide to fly I would go on Delta. They are the only major US carrier that guarantees you will have an empty seat next to you...including in first class. In economy, they leave all middle seats open. In first class they book only half the cabin and will not fill up the empty seats with upgrades. Other airlines (like American) only promise they will try and leave middle seats open if the flight is not full but they will fill every seat if the flight is sold out. Delta caps flight bookings at about 66% of capacity to allow for their empty seat policy. I would be willing to pay extra to fly Delta knowing that the seat next to me will be empty.
  12. Famed porn star, Nacho Vidal, has been arrested after conducting a mystical toad venom ritual which resulted in a man's death. Vidal is a famed Spanish porn actor that is well into his 40's. He acted in mostly straight porn films but did also do some porn with trans participants. Vidal was noted for his rough and aggressive approach to sex. He has a beautiful huge cock. Toad venom rituals? Truth is indeed stranger than fiction. https://www.cnn.com/2020/06/05/europe/spain-porn-star-arrest-toad-scli-intl/index.html
  13. I'm not sure much of a GOP convention will take place anywhere. COVID is unlikely to be completely gone at the time the convention. Therefore there will be all the COVID-related concerns. Additionally, I doubt many(any?) cities or states will yet be allowing mass gatherings yet. Finally (and as others have already mentioned) I doubt many cities will come forward to host this event. Some republican governors have voiced interest in hosting the event but I doubt there are many mayors that would go along with that.
  14. Swinging Richards' re-opening has been postponed from June 4 to June 11 due to the curfew in place in Atlanta according to their website and FB page. https://swingingrichards.com/
  15. Yes I noticed this too. Of course the WHO has to be cautious as they don't want people to lower their guard.
  16. Folks...lets keep this thread free of politics. It's in The Lounge for a reason.
  17. I'm surprised this story isn't getting more attention in the press. It seems to be a pretty significant development to me.
  18. I thought this was interesting. Some doctors in Italy are saying that the strength of the Coronavirus they are seeing in current tests has a much weaker viral load than what they were seeing previously. It will be interesting to see if this is actually true. I know viruses can evolve and sometimes actually turn on themselves and die off. Could it be that this pandemic will end as quickly as it started? https://www.reuters.com/article/us-health-coronavirus-italy-virus/new-coronavirus-losing-potency-top-italian-doctor-says-idUSKBN2370OQ?il=0
  19. Good question. I haven't seen anything. I assume shows will start returning around the time when sporting events with fans return. I see a few combat sport events are scheduled in LV in June but they will be held without fans. I assume the general public will have to watch PPV on TV.
  20. Some more detail on the properties to open and precautions they are taking: https://finance.yahoo.com/news/mgm-resorts-announces-opening-dates-183000485.html
  21. MGM group will re-open some of its Las Vegas casino portfolio on June 4. No details yet on what restrictions they will have in place. I assume there will be some capacity limits. https://www.reuters.com/article/us-health-coronavirus-usa-las-vegas/mgm-resorts-to-re-open-its-las-vegas-casinos-on-june-4-idUSKBN23330P?il=0
  22. Considering the context that the thread was begun in mid-Feb, it was wholly appropriate to be concerned about travel to Asia. Fast forward to now. The whole world is now aware that US leads the world in COVID-19 deaths.
  23. You are aware that lots of gay guys are into straight men right? Also, plenty of gay guys watch straight porn. When I watch porn it is almost always exclusively straight. My issue is that 95% of the guys in gay porn are not masculine enough for my taste. You, of course, can watch whatever you wish. That's fine. But don't suggest that those of us that enjoy straight men or straight porn shouldn't have a space in this forum. Seems you need to educate yourself on the wide variety of tastes and attractions that exist within gay culture.
  24. It will be an interesting experiment for sure. I'm not sure how one can social distance while getting a lapdance. I'm certainly not ready to dip my toe into the water yet. I'll be waiting several more months before even considering anything like this.
  25. I appreciate all the comments. I'm thinking the completely prepared option of Freshly might be best for mom and me. Maybe we would order it to provide meals 3-4 night per week and see how that goes. Spicy is fine for me but mom doesn't like spicy (meaning hot spicy) foods so I'll have to pay attention to that when ordering.
