What do we know about when and how Montreal clubs will reopen?
EZEtoGRU replied to + newatthis's topic in Male Strip Clubs
To adjust to the new bar hours in Montreal, Stock now opens at 5:00pm instead of 8:00pm...which is better as far as I'm concerned. The live feed online begins at 5:30pm. I don't know what the other clubs in Montreal are doing. -

New bar rules in Montreal. Last call at midnight and bars must be closed by 1:00am. New rules go into effect tomorrow (Friday). https://montrealgazette.com/news/local-news/covid-19-crackdown-quebec-will-impose-midnight-shutdown-on-bars/wcm/04468119-2dea-4d37-a4ab-bed90136726f/ -
I've been on the Brazilian side only about 13 years ago. It was OK. Lot's of green algae on the rocks of the falls. There was water passing over the falls but not a whole lot of it. I was attending a conference in Iguazu so my visit was business-related. I felt like if I had travelled there specifically to see the falls, I would have been disappointed. I had heard that the Argentine side was better.

Atlanta Braves Star Seriously Sick with Covid19
EZEtoGRU replied to + WilliamM's topic in The Lounge
I predict all professional sports will fail to get very far ahead in their respective seasons for the rest of 2020 before having to shut down the whole thing. Some players/coaches/umpires/staff are bound to get infected and some will become sick. What if 3-4 teams get particularly hard hit and have to stop playing completely. Realistically, I don't see how even a reduced season can function all the way through to the end. I hope I'm wrong about that. -

I don't know for sure as I have only watched the live internet feed on my computer. However I would say there probably are some kind lap dances offered. Perhaps curtain open and no contact allowed? Maybe someone in the know can chime in. -

I've been watching the Stock live feed most nights since they reopened. They have had a solid line-up of dancers on weekend nights. Weeknights have had fewer dancers...but that has always been the case. On Friday night, I saw Malik, Jasper, Milan, and Milton back for the first time. Milan has completely shaved his beard. At first I did not recognize him. Milton and Jasper have gotten noticeably smaller but still look great. Miguail made an appearance last night doing his always entertaining show. I would say that, if you are already within Canada, it's definitely worth going to Stock if you are comfortable with the idea of social interfacing with people at this point in time. The entertainment is solid and there is plenty of choice. As far as travel from the US to Canada, I don't see that changing anytime soon. I don't see Canada allowing travel of US tourists to Canada whilst the US continues to have such huge COVID numbers. I fully expect the moratorium on travel between the countries to be extended beyond July 21. -

I just completed my first three months on SA. I will not renew. For the most part, I found it a complete waste of time. Tons of messages from guys that were not even close to what I was looking for. My impression is that if you are into skinny/femboys you might do ok. If, like me, you seek uber masculine college jock or fratboy types, the pickings are pretty slim. Also, so many messages from India/Colombia/Philippines/Eastern Europe. What exactly is the point of that?

There's no way I would have an intimate encounter with anyone right now...free or paid....with test results or not. It's way too soon to be thinking about that. Exception being if it is someone you live with and therefore is within your "bubble". I have not been intimate with anyone since January and I will continue to be very cautious until there is an available vaccine or a truly useful treatment.

I didn't attend in person but I did watch the first two hours of the show on the website feed. I saw no dancers wearing masks. Employees seemed to have face shields on. Quite a few dancers in attendance including Zack, Adrian, Vinny, Jay, Ronny, Marco, Kyle, Fabio, Calvin, and a few others. I couldn't tell how many customers were in attendance. I'm hope someone who actually attended in person will chirp in soon. -
I thought he was very hot early in his porn career. Hairy chest/legs which I like a lot. A big fat cock. He also had a full head of dark curly hair. As time went on he got out of shape, overweight, and was balding on top. He definitely did not age well. However, his early porn movies are still a turn-on for me.

There are rumours that Stock may reopen this weekend. I have heard this from two different dancers. Anyone know anything official? -
I have no travel scheduled for this year. The thought of being on a plane in close quarters with 100 other people does not seem like a good idea to me. For the next 2-3 months I might take a few short driving trips around Michigan. Get on a plane right now? No way.

I tend to agree with you. Hard to imagine any casual tourism being allowed to go into Canada this summer. Maybe October and onward depending on whether there is a second wave or not. -

According to the attached article, the US/Canada are in discussions to extend the travel ban between the two countries. I assume that will mean until July 21 and then the issue will be re-visited again in mid-July. https://news.yahoo.com/trudeau-says-talks-extend-canada-us-border-closure-180125261.html -
I watched most of it. I tried to connect via zoom but was unsuccessful...however I did manage to get the live feed from the Stock website (I have an account). It was mostly the DJ Anthony asking the other panelists questions. There were 8-9 other panelists each on their computers from home. You had a mini-screen live feed of each of them talking and responding. The dancers that attended were Nick, Frank, Kyle, Marco, and Ryan. They started clothed but then took off their shirts and also their pants. The other participants were the other DJ, barman Eric, and the coat-check man. It was all very light and fun. Nothing outrageous. No complete nudity that I saw. I did sign out about 1 hour 45 minutes into the webinar so whatever happened after I did not see. They said they had 50-60 participants attending the zoom session. There was some tipping of dancers.

I'm sure you are right. It's the nature of the beast I suppose. When I lived in Houston, there was a food business there called Snap Kitchen. I note they now have 17 stores in Houston alone. They do all prepared high quality meals. You can have the meals delivered to your home or you can pick up the meals at one of the stores hence avoiding all the shipping packaging. Whilst I never used their service, it seems like a perfect solution. No matter what part of town you lived in, there was a store close by where you could pick up meals. I see they are in all major Texas cities and in some neighboring states too. Shame they have no locations in Michigan.

I thought I'd follow-up on this thread as we have just completed our first week of Freshly meals. We ordered six in total meaning three for each of us. The ordering and delivery process went just fine. I was home when the box was delivered on the porch so I was able to carry it into the house. The box was heavy so there is no way mom could have carried it. The meals were still nicely chilled with all the packing. Overall, we felt the meals were good to very good quality/taste. Portion size was plenty for mom and adequate for me. We complimented the meals with a dinner salad on a few nights. The main downside we see is the amount of packaging involved for shipping. The actual meal trays and cardboard sleeves are no issue as they are easily recyclable. However the cooling gel-packs and the denim material insulation are substantial and seem very wasteful. They claim the denim stuffing is recyclable although I don't know how you do that. Regarding the gel-pack coolers, they recommend emptying the gel out of the plastic bags and into the trash. Huh? Wet gritty gel into the trash bin? We have a second week of meals coming on Tuesday. I think we will probably discontinue Freshly after that due to the wasteful nature of the packaging. It's a shame cause it could be a useful service and we did find the meals quite good. The pricing was acceptable too. They need to find a more environmentally friendly way to handle the packaging IMHO. Anyway...thanks to everyone for your contribution on this thread . I'm glad we tried the service. Perhaps we will return to Freshly if they make some needed changes to the packaging of the meals.

Agreed. I would say that the last 4-5 years that the Gold Coast operated it was pretty lousy. Very few customers and very low quality dancers. I wouldn't have wanted a lapdance from most of the guys...even if it was free. if you don't have high quality dancers, people aren't going to go to the place. My sense was that it was poorly managed the last number of years. Really a shame. I had been going to the Gold Coast since the early 80's. It was a great club for over two decades.

There was a wonderful male strip club in Windsor in the 80's called either JR's or JP's. It pre-dated The Happy Tap and was in a completely different location very close to the river. It was a large club serving a predominantly gay male clientele with many of the dancers coming from Montreal and Toronto. The Happy Tap was a sad replacement IMHO.

Twist regular and South Beach LGBTQ icon Henrietta Robinson died of complications from COVID-19 in April. She was 79 years old. Henrietta was a fixture in the Miami gay scene for decades. I remember seeing her out and about at clubs and bars in the 90's when I lived in Miami. The last time I saw her was probably 2 years ago during a visit to Twist. Twist was considered her second home. If you ever went to the Twist cabana bar in back where the dancers perform, there is a good chance you saw Henrietta sitting at the bar getting a back massage from one of the boys. RIP Henrietta https://www.miaminewtimes.com/news/henrietta-robinson-obituary-miami-beach-lgbtq-icon-dies-of-covid-19-11614884 By the way, I posted this on the Twist thread cause that is likely where most people would have seen her.
