Our local gas station in rural Michigan was charging $4.25/gallon for regular yesterday. I didn't fill up as we're headed down to Detroit today for mom's doctor appointment. Will gas-up at Costco for $3.79/gallon. I'm in a similar situation to Charlie. Costco is too far away to justify driving there/back just to fill-up. I do however head down that way 2-3 times per month for other things (doctor appointments, haircut, etc.) and always take advantage of being in the area to get gas.

I was in Fort Lauderdale last week and went to Johnson's on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. It was fairly busy all three nights but never packed. Good selection of dancers. Probably something for everyone. Lots of Latinos(Cuban, Venezuelan, Argentinian). Also various Europeans and North Americans....including four Montreal dancers. I had a good time all three nights. It was actually my first time out at a strip club for two years. I felt somewhat uncomfortable being around lots of people. I wore a mask for a period of time but no-one else in the club was masking. No-one in South Florida wears a mask anymore. I didn't do any private dances. I don't care for the fact that the curtains don't close completely...which limits privacy. I wouldn't care for Friday/Saturday at Johnson's as I'm not a fan of crowded clubs.

What do we know about when and how Montreal clubs will reopen?

Thanks for the heads up. I have seen all the new dancers on the on-line feed. A few comments: Hayden. Somewhat older. Used to dance for the ladies at 281 (now closed). I find him sexy but he has a very unfortunate full arm/shoulder tattoo...almost completely black. I've never seen him show his full cock. Shawn. Also older. Supposedly, used to dance at Stock years ago. Large and beautiful cock. Maxime. I find him handsome. I've only seen him dance on Wednesdays. Very unique talented dance style. Watch the clip! Tight muscular body. Beautiful. Never drops his pants so I don't know if he is "blessed" down there. -

Like Charlie, I never remember much of a street scene in London. From 1986 to 2001, I worked for a British company and I traveled to London probably 70-80 times during that period. I would go to Kings Cross multiple times on each trip to catch trains to the north. I never saw anything going on around Kings Cross. Perhaps one had to venture into some of the side streets around the station. Admittedly, I was never lingering around the station. I was there to leave on or come in on a train and that was it.

I assume that once the border opens to Americans (August 9), the higher quality dancers will return to the clubs...I hope!! Last night there was a real stunner dancing at Stock (I watch the live feed on-line). He was a superb dancer with his very unique style. I will need to see if he dances other nights. Historically, there are a few dancers that choose to dance only on ladies night. Anyway, good luck making your choice of where to go.

Well Canada will be open to Americans again beginning August 9th and Montreal has lots of strippers...Toronto too. There are the usual suspects of South Florida and Atlanta where there are strippers. Las Vegas is always fun although searing hot in the summer....also not soo many strippers. Some Las Vegas shows have recommenced. I don't know if you have lingering COVID concerns...but Florida is having a big spike in COVID delta variant cases currently. I personally wouldn't go anywhere near Florida right now...but, in the end, it's a personal choice for each individual. Breakthrough cases are happening to some vaccinated individuals.

I also posted this story on the Montreal strip club thread...but it's relevant here too. Possible strike action by Canada border officials in August. https://www.cbc.ca/news/politics/cbsa-strike-vote-border-1.6108358

If you are planning a visit to Canada in August, pay attention to how this story develops. Over 8,000 Canadian border officials are threatening to strike in early August due to not having a contract in place since 2018. The strike vote is currently underway and the results should be known soon. If a strike proceeds it could cause major slowdowns at both land and air border crossing stations. https://www.cbc.ca/news/politics/cbsa-strike-vote-border-1.6108358 -

Gay Pride Montreal will be August 9-15. Perfect timing with the border re-opening on August 9th. Here's the link to Pride Festival: https://fiertemtl.com/en/ -
I'm assuming the US will reciprocate to some degree pretty quickly. I wonder if the underlying issue is concern over the number of Canadians that had a mixed vaccine regimen. One jab of AZ then the second jab being Pfizer or Moderna.

Yes exactly. I agree on helping them out. Our first obligation after taking care of our own citizens should be to help out our neighbors Canada and Mexico in getting them vaccines. -

Actually, what you can thank Trump for is a completely botched response to the COVID crisis in the early months of the pandemic. Entirely mishandled in all respects which has resulted in the US having many of the the worst COVID statistics in the world. Trump has the blood of hundreds of thousands of unnecessary deaths on his hands. You can also thank Trump for a large chunk of his followers refusing to get vaccinated. Many of them still believe that COVID is a complete hoax (just as Trump claimed many times in early 2020). Trump owns all of that and always will. As far as the vaccine goes, I largely thank the scientific/pharmaceutical communities. I still believe Canada will ultimately get a higher percentage of its population vaccinated than the US. Just to get somewhat back on topic, I will add that I hope the border will open to vaccinated tourists sometime before the End of September. Maybe later this month or early in August...but that might be wishful thinking. -

I have maintained for several years now that, longer term, Montreal can only sustain two male strip clubs for gay clientele. With four clubs, the business and the dancers are too dispersed. The old Adonis (now Expose) has closed and re-opened under new ownership and name at least three times in the last 5-6 years. I don't know why new owners keep coming in to try and revive it. On your various visits, did one of the clubs seem busier than the others? I only have a feeling for what is going on at Stock via the live cam. Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday seem relatively busy (albeit not packed by any stretch) and Tuesday, Thursday, and Sunday seem very quiet. The lack of any foreign tourists allowed into Canada has to be hurting the bar business big time...especially during the summer. -
I was thinking exactly the same thing when I was looking at the pics. His face seemed quite handsome in some of the earlier pics but then roided out odd looking in some of the later pics. The body is obviously quite something as is his cock.

I'm not aware of any in the US. Prior to the existence of the internet, there were male brothels in some other countries...and I am speaking here of non-bathhouse type brothels. I went to them in Berlin, Amsterdam, Buenos Aires, and London (Villa Gianni). I had heard of others operating in Madrid, Sydney, & Cape Town but never went to them personally The internet changed things and sex workers mostly moved on-line to negotiate business arrangements directly with customers thereby eliminating the need for a middleman (the brothel). A few survived...such as Villa Gianni in London which was still operating up until the pandemic. In conclusion, I think male bordellos are a thing from the past and only continue to exist in a few select situations.

Unusual places I've been that I could have never imagined I would have gone to: * La Iglesia De Las Lajas in Ipiales Colombia. * Comodoro Rivadavia in Southern Argentina. * Trips to Chile during the dictatorship of Augusto Pinochet. * Cruising around Ha Long Bay Vietnam at sunrise. * Seeing the natural beauty of Lake Louise in Alberta Canada. Probably the most beautiful natural sight I have ever seen. * Girona Spain. Especially the oldest part of the city and the Jewish Quarter

It really depends on when one was there. I lived in Brazil between 2004-2007. Sometime in that period, I went to Iguazu for a conference and I can assure you that one could cross from Brazil to Paraguay/Ciudad del Este with no immigration checks. Things may have changed since then but it was basically an open border at the time. As an aside, Ciudad del Este in Paraguay was known as THE PLACE in South America to buy stolen merchandise...including semi-trucks, learjets, and helicopters as well as smaller items such as stereos/televisions/cellphones, etc. Most of the stolen goods were from Brazil and Argentina.

I had two hernias corrected during the same surgical procedure in 2019. They were in two separate areas on my abdomen: One in the navel area and one higher up. The surgery went fine I guess but the recovery took longer than I would have expected. I was very uncomfortable for about a week. Finding a comfortable position to lay/sleep was difficult. Getting in/out of bed o a chair was very painful. It was out-patient surgery but, in hindsight, I think I should have remained in the hospital for 1-2 nights. I was prescribed an opioid for the pain but chose not to take them for fear of getting addicted. I did take paracetamol though. Things got somewhat better after the first week but I really didn't start feeling decent until after three weeks. I never anticipated the recovery to be as rough as it was. I do fault the surgeon for not preparing me for the possibility of a drawn out/painful recovery and also for not offering the option of a 1-2 day hospital stay after the procedure (which I would have been willing to pay for if the insurance didn't cover it) to make things easier. To put the OP's mind at ease, let me say that I suspect having two hernias corrected at the same time likely turned what is normally a very routine surgery into something more traumatic to the body. Most people that I hear of having hernia surgery speak of it being very easy to deal with and having a pretty quick recovery period. I'm sure the OP will do fine.

'The Lady and The Dale' (HBO Max)
EZEtoGRU replied to + BenjaminNicholas's topic in TV and Streaming services
I saw this series on HBO a few months ago. I found it to be fascinating. Both the story about The Dale vehicle and Carmichael's life journey were intriguing. The biggest surprise for me was that I had never before heard of either the car or Carmichael. How did I miss this all these years?
