  1. For starters, the OP could get the spelling of the city correct. It's Puerto not Puerta.
  2. The general consensus seems to be that the Chinese are significantly under-reporting the number of cases and deaths.

I have no experience with him but he looks more Latino than Italian to me.
  4. Ok I’m just gonna put this out there. There is no way I would choose to travel to anywhere In Asia right now. I was just there for nearly a month on a Cruise.(I was not in Japan specifically) and I couldn’t get out quick enough due to the coronavirus threat. I felt very wary of being in Hong Kong at the end and finally returned to the US three days sooner than planned. I was so happy when the plane took off heading back to the US on January 26th. People are scrambling to get out of Asia right now....not wanting to fly in. Obviously we all make our own decisions regarding the level of risk we are prepared to take in any given situation. I would recommend you carefully consider your decision to make this trip to Tokyo right now.
  5. I am just back from a 20-day Asia cruise that included stops in Phuket and Pattaya (Well near Pattaya). FWIW, I thought Phuket as a town was a total dump. I gather there are some nice beaches outside of town. I'm not really a beach person anymore so I didn't see those. I saw nothing attractive or redeeming about the town of Phuket. I couldn't wait to get back to the ship. I found Pattaya much nicer. I would be more inclined to return there than to Phuket. Anyway, just my thoughts. YMMV of course.
  6. They have a facebook page and mention a spring 2020 opening. Just FYI. https://www.facebook.com/Johnsons-Atlanta-344941706433611/
  7. . Good point. I’m with you on that?
  8. He has served approximately 10 years of a 150-year sentence. I would not be particularly inclined to give him early release. You? https://www.msn.com/en-us/money/markets/ponzi-scheme-king-bernie-madoff-says-he-is-dying-seeks-early-release-from-prison/ar-BBZGJ91?ocid=spartanntp
  9. First US case of person-to-person transmission confirmed in Chicago. https://www.cnn.com/2020/01/30/health/coronavirus-illinois-person-to-person-cdc/index.html
  10. Interesting you’re mentioning that. I was thinking the same thing with regards to strippers. I think I’ll wait a few weeks till I even think about going to any stripclub cities. I’ll be looking for the following: 1. Seeing if the Chinese new infection rates level-off or start to drop (this assumes we can trust the figures we see from China...which is questionable). 2. For the cases outside of China, seeing if there are any instances of locally-transmitted infections of individuals that never went to China or even Asia.
  11. A Cruise ship is docked in Italy and all passengers are being held on board as two guests from China are suspected of having the virus. Will be interesting to see how the authorities and the cruise line handle that. I feel sorry for everyone on-board. https://www.cnn.com/2020/01/30/asia/wuhan-coronavirus-update-china-spread-intl-hnk/index.html
  12. Obviously, weekend nights are the busiest. Why not try a Thr/Fri/Sat stay or a Fri/Sat/Sun stay? If you like bigger more Masculine guys, hang out at Stockbar and to a lesser degree Campus. If you like fem twinks, I guess Taboo although I haven’t been there in years.
  13. The OP already has GE. He has asked if getting the Mobile Passport Plus App would help him speed through immigration on a future return from Europe. I’m not sure what the relevance of wheelchair travel or Fastrack/VIP services are to the discussion. back to the topic at hand. OP will be just fine using his GE credentials to get back to the USA
  14. Another vote here for Goode Company BBQ on Kirby. Look for the giant armadillo outside! A great Jewish deli is Kenny and Ziggy’s. There are two locations. The original on Post Oak (close to The Galleria Mall) and a newer and smaller location on Buffalo Speedway. Expect high-quality deli fare. https://www.kennyandziggys.com/
  15. I assume Nexus does help. Both at vehicle entry points as well as Canadian airport gateways, there are separate Nexus lanes. Having said that, I’ve never had a problem going into Canada and I go there at least every other month.

  17. I watched the show on-line for about 90 minutes on Saturday night. I was impressed with how much muscle was on display. There was not a single repeat dancer during the time that I watched so I guess they had a lot of guys working that night. The club itself did not look that busy but the January through March period is typically their slowest time of the year. Calvin was the biggest of the guys I saw. Phillipe is back and bigger than even. He looked too bloated to me however. A newer latino Rico was looking good. Regulars Franco and Zack were in attendance....and looking good. I didn't see Jasper, Malick, Tyson, or Tommy but they could have been there since I did not see all the dancers on stage. Good to see that Stock can attract such an array of muscle talent even in the depths of January.
  18. It's Sunday morning now in Asia. 13 new deaths reported overnight for a total of 54 plus 323 new cases for total cases now of 1610. Notable that one of the new deaths was not in the highly affected Hubei Province but rather in Shanghai or Beijing (I can't remember which). Cases now reported in multiple Asian countries and further flung places (Canada, France, US, Australia). https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/world/china-virus-toll-rises-to-54-dead-more-than-300-new-cases-govt/ar-BBZkvr5?ocid=spartanntp

  20. I have heard the same thing. There are videos circulating showing people just collapsed in the street and in office buildings and medical staff in hazmat suits attending to them. Pretty scary.

  22. Looks like Australia has four confirmed cases now....mostly in NSW. Things are going to get worse everywhere before they get better. How many days till flights to/from all of China are suspended? https://www.reuters.com/article/us-china-health/china-virus-toll-hits-41-australia-reports-first-four-cases-idUSKBN1ZO005?il=0
  23. I think the next 7-10 days will be very telling. This is going to be huge or plateau. I fear the former and hope for the later. Some Asian airlines have already instituted flight cancellation policies for people that don't want to travel anymore.
  24. I'm in HK right now and have been travelling around Asia (mostly by cruise ship) since January 2. Within several days of arriving into the region, news started leaking out about a pneumonia-like virus that was spreading in China....mostly in the central city of Wuhan. At that time there were 5-10 cases but authorities were concerned as it was being described as a SARS-like virus. Fast forward to now: more that 800 cases. At least 25 dead. Cases also reported in Vietnam, Thailand, Singapore, Japan, and the US. Wuhan and two other Chinese cities on virtual lockdown. Multiple other Chinese cities facing severe travel restrictions. It's about 7:00pm on Friday evening here in HK on the eve before the Chinese New Year and you would never know that the biggest Holiday in China starts in just a few hours. Very little traffic. Very few decorations. Literally everyone wearing masks. China seemed to drag its feet in addressing this illness earlier on. They have lost precious time in limiting the spread. Finally in the last 3 days or so, China has taken major steps to contain the problem. It may be too little too late however. The infection and death numbers are growing alarmingly on a daily basis. I've changed my travel plans to leave for the US on Sunday the 26th instead of on the 29th. If things don't plateau with this illness very quickly, I could see international travel to/from Asia brought to a standstill. I just hope I manage to get out. I wonder (not just for myself) if this is going to be the "big one/flu" that experts have been predicting for decades? Time will tell. https://edition.cnn.com/asia/live-news/coronavirus-outbreak-hnk-intl-01-24-20/index.html
  25. Good point. A few others to add to the list: BA=Buenos Aires JB=Johannesburg
