I keep a "spare" cellphone so that when I misplace my primary phone, I can call the misplaced phone and locate it. It's been very helpful when I've left my phone in a rideshare and was able to call my phone and get it returned.

Normally, I only send a few cards that I hand pick from Hallmark to far away family members. But, this year I'm sending out about 25 from a box to friends/family I have not seen due to this damned pandemic. And, I also have a tree up this year, too... and loving it. I needed some sparkle and shine this holiday season and the tree is fun to look at while having a box or two of wine.

I understand the gist of what you're saying, but comparing race to being overweight is apples & oranges.
 
The gay community has ALWAYS been toughest on their own and inner-discrimination is no stranger to every minority group.
 
While we will realistically never get past judging one another for whatever odd hangup we have, we can always try to be more cognisant of what other people might be going through. It's pie-in-the-sky to think we're going to change human nature. We can really only change ourselves.
 
In the meantime, I suggest people build up a thick skin, a greater confidence and try to be the healthiest person they can be.

I think this thread has some people in earlier posts that must have mixed him up with someone else. He is not straight. He may be private about his personal life (which he has every right to be), but there are some false accusations in this thread detached from reality. He's a nice guy who is not hiding his orientation from the world.

@BSR I have read many of your posts in the past and respect your opinion but in this case may I say that I think you are allowing that particular book to distract you from the greater truth.
 
The claim by the book mentioned, that those two men lured him away because they thought he had $10,000 in meth and cash does not hold water. He was a broke-ish college kid at a state school that had fallen on hard times and may have sold and used drugs. The subsequent investigation did not find hard drugs like meth in his autopsy blood work or hair sample so consider that as well.
 
What we know is that these two men lured away a slightly built, young gay man, tortured him by hitting him repeatedly, kicking him repeatedly, targeted his groin area specifically and left him to die. They did it because they thought they could get away with it. And they probably would have if his friends and the gay community did not become very vocal, demanding justice and capturing the world’s attention.

Honestly, any Mexican border town is going to be a bad representation of the country as a whole.
 
Nuevo Laredo, Progresso, Matamoros, Juarez, Reynosa.... They have huge influxes of gueros, all looking for RX, booze or medical/dental work. It's how most of these Mexicans make their living and yes, it's a hustle, but not a bad one.

bjroosters is not as "fancy" or elaborate a club as Swinging Richard's, but a lot of fun in it's own right.

Yer talkin' two different experiences here- you really should try both, if at all possible! Boxers is more of a "hillbilly holiday", while Richard's is a showcase of beefy and gay-for-pay eye candy, both worth a visit in my opinion. Atlanta's plus is that you can run over to Cheshire Bridge and check out the guys at BJ Roosters (not nude, but cute in their own way)

my Mom also meticulously checked the eggs in cartons for cracks and I remember seeing her do this ever since I was very little......nowadays, though I'll eat an omelette in a restaurant as is, I don't like yolk or that stringy white thing coming out of it (my mom and her mom always cut that thing away and, after I heard what it is, I'm very thankful for them).....Costco has taken care of that and made it easy for me.......

After getting a haircut nearby, I stopped in at bjroosters today about 3:15 to check it out. Since, as of today, they're allowed to operate as a bar, they are no longer opening early serving food. They apparently are now open from 4-12 pm, with socially distanced seating. I think I saw a total of 7 seats around the three sides of the bar, with additional seating spread through the club. As I understand it, they have one guy dancing at a time in a designated position. Sorry, don't know when the dancers start or the rules for interacting with them are.
