Sorry for the delay. I missed your message.  I agree with that. Unfortunately I had an issue in 2021 where a client flew me out to TX for a three night weekend and never paid me anything. I do take responsibility for that, because it does go back to my question should I get ask for a deposit so I don’t get messed up financially. I’m fine with clients not giving me one if I know they are serious and not going to just waste our time.

I'm sure there are time wasters out there who love contact escorts that they know they aren't going to hire, but I doubt there are that many game players.  In other words, I think most men who contact escorts want to hire them, but just because they made contact doesn't mean that seals the deal.  I would suggest that if an escort is being contacted by a lot of people who end up not booking that that escort should reflect on various aspects of his business practice to determine why prospective clients end up taking their business elsewhere.  If an initial contact doesn't enhance the excitement about the prospective meeting or, worse yet, makes the prospective client leery about hiring the escort, then the escort isn't doing a good job of marketing himself.

@Jay_lucas  The business model that a practitioner utilizes doesn't have to be static approach of request deposit/don't request deposit, it can adapt to the market they use as a home base versus when traveling (this shouldn't be rocket science).  In looking at the two major platforms (RentMasseur and RentMen), and conducting a simple profile search of the word "Deposit" only 32 of 4,306 (0.74314909%) of Rentmasseur practitioners and 68 of 10,688 (0.636622%) of Rentmen practitioners outrightly state that a Deposit would be required at some stage of engagement.
Practitioners choose what business model works for them best.   Scanning only a couple of profiles on each, it was clear that for some of the practitioners it wasn't required in all instances and for others it was a hard and fast rule.   Note there maybe other practitioners that utilize phrasing in place of "Deposit" but I don't think that would move the numbers much.   Good luck with the search of practitioners that meet your needs.   As for myself, a practitioner who would require a deposit isn't the business model I prefer.

God, some people here are so rude and unwelcoming… And they complain about multiple topics on the same subject but keep commenting... 🤷🏽‍♂️
Anyway… I understand why some providers might want to charge a deposit and it makes sense, but honestly I’ve never seen someone legit asking me for a deposit. The only ones who did were scammers. I guess I would be fine if there were some conditions. Like if I cancel more than 24h in advance I get the deposit back, or I can use it as credit for another day.

The topic is "Thoughts on Deposits" which can be translated to "Opinions on Deposits". Can we just let folks state their preference and move on? Why does everything need to turn into a toxic back and forth. I've never been asked for a deposit nor do I think I would pay a deposit unless I was really certain that the meeting was going to take place. Just my answer/opinion to the question and I'm not going to argue with anyone if you feel that I am wrong.
