Plenty of providers use fake names. I assume most do. It's not a red flag.

Any provider asking you to stop and pick up something whether an x box gift card, poppers, etc. proceed with caution. Unless it’s someone like me with a verified set of reviews and website.
 
Clients have asked me to pick up stuff for them, but I always get a deposit before buying anything: whether it’s a hotel room or “extras”

Good for him. Who wants to meet a client who is only interested if you have an attitude that that says "I'm financially desperate so I'll tolerate more from you"? Providers are entitled to as much discretion as they want with who they meet. No matter how ridiculous their criteria, they have the final word on their body.

I’m glad you brought this topic up. As a black man, I wish everyone were just flat out honest with their racial preferences. It would make a lot of things easier; from sites like RM and MF to even dating and hookup apps. 
 
The era of wokeness, shaming people for hiding their “preferences”, just promotes dishonesty and confusion. 
 
Personally, I’d love for profiles to clearly state what they prefer by race, age, and body type, so I will know who to reach out to, and who to block. 
 
Playing the code game to determine if I’m someone’s type is annoying. And I want to know if I’m not compatible with someone because I’m black, rather than be left in confusion.

In my overall experience, this hasn't been the case. Typically, I tend to ask multiple questions in a single message. If I receive one word responses or answers to only one question, I generally interpret it as disinterest and proceed to the next provider.

I haven't encountered this myself, usually the questions I ask don't lend themselves to one word answers.  If I did get such a respose I would follow up with a simple "Thanks, can you tell me a little more" type of reply.
If they still won't engage, I'd just take that as a sign and move on to the next.

The US is tip-crazy.
Tipping is supposed to be a thank you for services above and beyond the.standard.
Unfortunately like restaurants, masseurs in Spas are underpaid so your "tip" is much of their paycheck.
A private masseur will charge far more and doesn't need to give a cut to anyone else. So for very standard service no tip is required. Anything above and beyond:  the provider should be compensated with 20% to 25% depending on how far beyond the service went. Or round up to escort rates ($200 -$300) if sexual serviced were added to the session.
If I get a great massage and an exciting happy ending from someone who I am attracted to,  I will tip generously as a way of opening the conversation about the availability of additional escort services for the next meet.
