Exactly, I’m in Brooklyn as well and the price of food has gone up more than 25% just in the last year or so, let alone 2021. A very basic meal for two in a casual Chinese restaurant that was recently $44 is now $68.

My mother tried to have a conversation about the topic today out of nowhere (I came out to her well over a decade ago)… “so you don’t like women at all? Why?” (There’s no “why”, why don’t you like women?) “So if you don’t want to get married or have children, who will you leave your money to when you die?” (I really don’t think I’ll die with enough money to leave someone)… I eventually told her that she’s not going to like any of my answers which got her to stop asking questions. But my point is that the coming out never stops, even with people you have already come out to.

Elliott Yamin was actually on the show last week- he did a duet with Jordan which was phenomenal and my favorite performance of the season! I agree that Jordan was the best of the top three… and top eight. My favorites in the competition over all were Jesse (who came in twelfth) and Rae (who came in tenth/eleventh).

Hannah was quite possibly the least surprising winner in Idol history. I was hoping Jordan would pull an upset (and even voted for him, my first time voting for Idol in about 15 years), but there was really no way Hannah was going to lose, especially since they let her sing “String Cheese” on the finale.

I caught most of it on TV Friday night- “most of it” because it didn’t hold my attention or move me in any way, which is very rare for musicals. I was frankly quite surprised and disappointed since I’m a fan of many people involved, so I’ll have to give it another shot when I’m more able to focus… but the issue is that I shouldn’t have to.

I saw this off-broadway when it transferred to a theatre near Union Square. I loved it! It was VERY enjoyable and hilarious, though the humor was actually a bit too crude/raunchy for a general audience. Perhaps I unknowingly saw it on an “adult night” (yes, that was a thing during the original production of Spelling Bee), but I would imagine the tourist/family audience who go in expecting a cute parody musical starring Sheldon Cooper with Celine Dion songs would NOT be happy.

Nobody other than the men I hire and on this website. It’s not something I am personally embarrassed about nor ashamed of, but a lot of people in my life would feel that on my behalf or be otherwise judgmental. Frankly even the handful of friends who know [for a fact that] I’m gay would deem it as risky/illegal behavior and not “me”.

I’m still confused how anyone can read that review and come to the conclusion that the client wanted a threesome? I understand the question being asked, but what does it have at all to do with the review that inspired it?

IMO the only category that is a lock this season is Josh Henry winning best actor… the others could have won with their respective performances in other years, but Henry’s performance is a juggernaut and nobody is going to beat it.

Why is this being interpreted as the client wanting the provider to recruit another provider? Unless I’m missing something, it’s pretty clear that the provider wanted to invite another particular provider to join them, and expected the client to agree to it and magically produce the money for the other provider.

I met a friend from out of town and his (male) fiancée in a gay bar a couple months ago… I untagged myself from the Facebook pics so people wouldn’t think about it at all.

I get one every couple years, and it’s always on a guy I see around regularly but don’t know anything about and is likely straight. I finally found out his last name yesterday and Google told me his profession (if the listing was for him, which I think it is) which makes him slightly more likely to be gay/bi. On the flip side, I found a YouTube video where he’s talking about something that makes him less likely to be gay/bi. The mental gymnastics of this situation make me feel crazy/ridiculous and stalkerish. Do any of you have similar situations or stories? How do you deal with them?

In my experience in NYC the MEDIAN ask is 350, but the MODE asks are 300 and 400. The average skews more like 375 since there are more rates above 400 than under 300.

I was able to tolerate black, unsweetened iced americano when I was on strict keto a few years ago. I didn’t like it, but it got the job done. I found that iced americano tasted better on its own than iced coffee or cold brew. This is how I usually take it these days- a couple artificial sweeteners (usually Splenda because it’s what’s available although I prefer sweet n low or a combination thereof) and a small amount of milk or creamer.

I think a shorter haircut would make him look more masculine and thus more marketable, if that’s what he’s going for. IMO 99% of men do not look good with long hair, and I know that opinion is commonly shared.

I’m far from wealthy and lost the part-time job that gave me any semblance of disposable income a few months ago, but the primary thing preventing me from hiring as often as I’d like is my lack of free time/availability… even the one random weekday in June I had off from work last year and the year before so was able to hire, I don’t have this year. But if I had the time, I would find the money.

Exactly! As a very short guy, if I came across a provider with a profile that says “tall guys only”, I would be completely turned off from hiring him because I would know for sure that my defining physical characteristic makes me the exact opposite of someone he would be attracted to. Even if he is amazing at his job and 100% capable of performing and faking attraction to me, I would feel “yucky” deep down because I would know there’s not a chance he’s genuinely enjoying my company.
