So I am very dedicated to fitness and have a reasonable diet, work on balance in my life, but there can be one are of challenge....... SLEEP! I realized as a kid that I was a very light sleeper and could wake up easily. That developed into a life long issue with waking up at time in the night and can be tough getting back to sleep. It caused me some real issues at times. With escorts having such a challenged work schedule at times.... bookings at midnight or even dropping a peaceful evening for time in a hotel room. Sleep can be tough to get! I've found that there are nights during the week I am "unavailable" as I have to make sure I sleep well. Dark room, no caffeine before bed, no noise and it does seem to work. A night with little sleep x2 or x3 can really wipe me out for being productive. So how do all of you, providers especially, keep up on sleep and do you have any issues?

Despite having teeth that look awesome, I've had dental issues since I was a kid with crooked teeth. I had braces for 4.5 years and ended up with periodontal disease and got the bad news as a grad student that I had better take care of my teeth or lose them someday. I chose the former option. I like the Water Pic, but I always floss my teeth. Always, every day, without exception. I won't go to sleep without flossing. I use a nighttime toothpaste substitute with extra Floride and also an electric toothbrush. So, yeah, I'd a bit of a weirdo about my teeth, but it has had a positive impact. So in the end, do whatever works for you, Just DO! Way too many people do nothing and they focus on the teeth, not the gums, which should never be overlooked!

The only time I ever have an allergy problem is late spring as I am allergic to Hedge Tree (Osage Orange) tree pollen. I hate to take anything, so I guess I'm team "skip it". It seems like the medications either makes me sleepy (typically) or other small side effects. I always just feel like I'm trading one issue for another. Some years are rough, some aren't bad at all (as was 2023).

I have used this product as well as "Arm and Hammer". I would agree that it is easy to "overuse" detergents. They tell you the bottle is used for "so many loads". I guess it is left to us to measure that! lol

I always wondered about the washer and dishwasher as far as cleanliness.

Absolutely right, we were made to be active, not sedentary. Alwasy appreciate the reminder!

What a great message, I hope all is going well with your continued workouts! Thanks for sharing.

The "sporting goods" sector (like many) is remarkably competitive. I chatted with employees at Academy Sports (where I spend way too much) about the onslaught in the local market with the new Scheels store locally. If you haven't been in a Scheels, it isn't just shopping, it really is an experience. It makes a trip to Dicks Sporting Goods a real boring event. Scheels is definitely an "upper" level kind of store with higher pricing, but truly an interesting presentation.

You really have some great thoughts and ideas to share. Being fit and healthy, then facing some serious health challenges (and the road back) is a discussion we should have on this site regularly. I would like to follow your progress and cheer you on!

Perhaps some of younger members will experience that someday! LOL Congrats on the retirement!

So what do you dislike shopping (if I can ask?) And I can imagine, it would be seem pretty odd to have to provide identification at your age for alcohol.

Always appreciate going into Costco!

Yeah, so its kind of a disconnected thread considering the emphasis of the site, but what the hell.... So I'm ready to do my weekly grocery shopping here in Kansas and I ask you to go along. So are you a shopper who buys all their groceries at once for a 2 or 3 weeks or do you go every couple of days for just a few things that you want immediately? Do you plan in advance as far as what you are buying or are you an impulsive buyer? So we walk in and you immediately realize I know the store and basically follow the same pattern each time I go in. I know what I'm getting in advance (plus or minus a item or two). What about you? Are you most concerned about price of each item (and compare with the generic brnads? Quality of each item and price isn't an issue. or are you a 3) You don't care and just want to get in and out quickly? Are you a mix and why does it work for you as a shopper. I'm very aware of how much I'm spending and I always look at what's offered, but I won't sacrifice quality just to save a few cents or a buck or two. I usually know my bill within a few dollars before I go through the check register. Finally, do you like grocery shopping and do you do the self checkout? So we're done, you passed! I had a great time shopping with you, now you owe me lunch, since I drove....haha.

I think that's awesome. I have a college friend who teaches Yoga as a side. I've always been interested, but have never made the time. Kudos to you for it.

Glad I happened on this topic and read it. With it being September of 2023, now is a great time to think about helping those that might be alone with the holidays by being kind and making them a part of yours. Clearly no therapy, other than kindness. I hope the OP, made it through the holidays and is a better position this year. I was impressed that another member stepped up and gave some significant advice to consider. I always include an older gay friend (whose husband died some years ago). He is always alone at the holidays despite having a lot of friends and we include him in either Thanksgiving or Christmas gatherings. I know the cold (and dark) winter months can be tough as well.

I know you shared your thoughts previously with me. Much appreciated! Looking forward to checking it out in person!

I have 3 clients that enjoy WS, one is absolutely giddy about the prospect of my participation.

Have been to the Grand Canyon twice in my life, the last being in 2019 with a great week there full of hiking and exploration...... my favorite kind of vacation, especially to a National Park. The first was when I was 5 and while I remember it, my parents weren't about to let me do any exploring, which I was into even then! Never have been to the north Rim of the Canyon. I saw the connection to the northeast of the south rim, but not enough time. I've heard a variety of things about it. Anyone here been there and how does it fare for trails and hiking?

Mine is more for general fitness. Sounds like you got it going for sure. The 30 minutes of dance conditioning and the splits stretching sounds great.

I have been a member of "Realjock" (RJ as we long time members call it) It has had a politics forum since the beginning and has gone nothing but downhill. It used to be reasonable conversation (but heated), then gradually changed through the last 6 years into each side tossing out their views and not commenting on the other in a reasonable manner. Today, there are only a few participants, still throwing out their "sock it to em" approach and generally not much said to the other side, except for name calling and demeaning comments. I think the removal here was wise. No minds changed, no reasonable conversation and a lot of negative feelings. Probably best to move on.

Physical fitness has always been very important to me, even as a kid when I was more a geek, but I took up horseback riding and showing. Working as an escort can be demanding and taxing on ones physical (and mental) capacity. For escorts, what do you do to stay in shape? How much time in the gym? Cardio workouts and resistance work? As a fitness advocate, I do a morning workout set 5 days (at least) a week and in the gym 4 days. It really is a fitness lifestyle, however with diet and incorporating some quiet time to relax and appreciate the day's work and achievements.

Thanks for taking the time and for such good advice. My only point we'd disagree is on the Ralph Lauren polos. LOVE RL polos and have been wearing them since I was a kid. Today I wear the mesh, slim fit cut all the time. I look great and feel comfortable. I have made an effort "diversify my position" and include some great form fitting T shirts and a larger variety. Banana Republic chinos were a great addition. I get mine off of their "Banana Republic factory" site, guessed the right size and actually really like them (miracles never cease). LOL. Thanks again. Your input is always appreciated!

Perhaps your "wellness exam" could be conducted in the office of a Registered Dietician

A pleasant surprise for sure. Glad they took the responsibility and made things right. In this case, perhaps they were of a different mindset or didn't know... or maybe it was a rough day, none of which is an out for the earlier behavior, but glad to know they gave you the consideration.

Feel free to chuckle. I've found it an interesting conversation as I've never discussed it previously with anyone.. If you think I created it as an "attempt" at anything, your sadly mistaken. I've been asked, I have views and like anything else here, worthy of conversation.
