  1. It certainly seems that way (except for the explicit videos), but with the tension between providers wanting to make as appealing a presentation as possible (unless they're trying to discriminate between premium and non-premium members) and RM wanting to encourage as much premium membership as possible, you'd think SOMEONE was making a calculated decision.
  2. Bump
  3. So I'm a non-premium member of RM, meaning I can't see the premium pics. Here's my question. Who decides which pics are premium and which are generally available? I can't seem to make any sense of what's put behind the paywall. Some providers' ads have all PG-13-rated pics generally available and (from what I can tell through the blurring) all X-rated pics and videos behind the paywall. Other providers have ads with plenty of dick pics for all to see. I would imagine that if providers make the choice, they would want to show everything. They have no incentive to hide any pics unless their plan is to limit their marketing only to premium RM members, which I think is a dumb idea. If RM is making the choice, though, it's not done very consistently, at least based on my seeing the pics on one side of the paywall. Can any providers on here share how it works? And, no, I'm not going to spring for premium membership just to find out! I know it's not that much money, but for reasons of privacy I won't give them my information. Thanks.
  4. He was another guy I saw before COVID and then lost contact with. I saw him twice and I enjoyed the sessions very much. He was engaged and accommodating. If you look at the dates that his pictures were posted, you'll see his look has changed. He was more muscled in the 2019/20 pictures and more shredded in the current ones. Not an improvement in my book, but I would be happy to repeat with him if I were in the market.
  5. It's a very user-unfriendly website and there's a lot of chaff to sort through to find the wheat. I reached out to, I think, four advertisers in the past. Two never responded and one was totally sketchy. I had a lengthy exchange with one -- he was very normal and had a full-time job but escorted from time to time for a little extra cash. He wasn't on RM because it was too much of a financial and time commitment. We couldn't put it together for logistical reasons, but for that I'd have been happy to give it a go.
  6. I'm so sorry to hear about everyone's current experiences with Sebastian and Boy_Fit. As I posted above, I had good experience with each of them, especially Sebastian, pre-Covid. That's a lifetime ago, I guess, but I would have considered Sebastian again when/if things end with my current regular. (I'm a . . . mostly . . . monogamous hirer of escorts.) C'est la vie.
  7. It must be true love. How romantic.
  8. I took a look at his social media accounts and, in addition to looking for OF subscribers, he seems to be shilling for a website called theblowers.com, which I had never heard of before. It's a hookup site for, as you might surmise, blowers and blowies.
  9. The ad looks to be gone already. You guys get results FAST!
  10. He just reached out to me on RM messenger, saying we should get together. I've never looked at his profile before, so I assume he's writing to others and that I'm not special (well, not in this regard). He's got an Instagram account that's pretty hot. He's not someone I'd pick out looking over RM for someone to hire, but I am now intrigued by him. If anyone has taken the plunge, I'd be interested in hearing about the experience. Thanks.
  11. I sometimes have this problem and figured out that it happens when I'm using a VPN and my proxy is outside the United States. If the proxy is in the US, I can search the US listings. I imagine that you can search listings in US cities on Rentmen.eu with a non-US proxy, but I haven't bothered to test that out.
  12. I met him a couple of times last fall. He seems (and said he was) clean and sober. He's definitely matured physically from the tall skinny kid he was when he started in the business. I wasn't looking for anything kinky, but we always had a great time. My only issue with him is that he has a cat and I'm terribly allergic, so I couldn't see him at his place. Happy to give more details in DMs if anyone's interested.
  13. If this is your definition of easy access, you might try one of the boutique hotels. The Gotham is my favorite. It's small enough that they don't limit access to the elevators (edit: at least not during the daytime). The downside is the lobby traffic is very light, so any visitor will be seen by the doorman, one or two people at the desk staff and a bellboy. If anonymity is your goal, then a room in a big hotel may be a better choice. because there's so much lobby traffic that nobody will notice you coming downstairs and collecting someone.
  14. Bump.
  15. THIS! I don't think it's age-dependent. Sometimes, a client is happy with a totally mechanical interaction and doesn't really care about the provider's attitude (that's me from time to time), but a provider's obvious disappointment at first meeting ruins the possibility of forming a real connection with him and poisons the experience. One of the talents of a professional escort is not showing any disappointment and in fact showing enthusiasm for the session on first meeting. The logical side of the client's brain knows the provider is there for the money, but the emotional side wants to think that the provider is enjoying the time.
  16. I don't host, even for regulars, mostly because of nosy neighbors in my building. If you're going to get a hotel room, I suggest you use dayuse.com or one of the other short-term hotel apps. You get the room for only four or six or maybe eight hours (and it's during the day rather than overnight), but you can reserve a room and not pay for it until you check in. That way, if your plans with the escort go sideways, you can save the cost of the hotel. For added confidentiality, I usually ask the escort to book the room. If it's the first time I'm hiring that escort, I meet him in front of the hotel to confirm that I'm real before he checks in and spends the money (for which I eventually reimburse him).
  17. Here's a question for providers. Is a convention (not necessarily a political one) or trade show that brings a lot of visitors to your city for a week a boon or a bust for your business? I would think that a lot of those travelers would have a "what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas" attitude (whether or not it's actually in Las Vegas) and would result in a good pickup in business for escorts. On the other hand, a lot of traveling providers could more than soak up the extra demand and result in greater competition. What's your experience?
  18. But all of those codes have very strict prohibitions on disclosing anything about CLIENTS. The earlier poster was speaking about escorts outing clients because they're hypocrites. Any respectable escort knows that maintaining confidentiality is an essential part of the relationship with the client. Imagine what would happen to an escort's business, even one of the most popular, if he publicly outed one of his clients due to a dispute about politics. I'll take my providers with a strong sense of confidentiality, thank you, without worrying about whether that confidentiality is contingent on whether they agree with my politics or my religion or what baseball team I root for. That confidentiality is mutual and I wouldn't think of outing him (or trashing him on this site, for that matter) for any reason not related to the services provided.
  19. I won't order an Uber for reasons of discretion, but reimbursing for an Uber or parking (or gas) is just part of the fee negotiation. It's the same to me if a provider quotes me $250 plus $50 for Ubers or $300. A funny story about parking. A few years ago, I was in LA and saw a provider at my hotel. After a really great session, he asked me if, on top of his fee and a healthy tip, I could cover the cost of parking at the hotel, which wasn't cheap. So I gave him an extra $50, more than enough to cover it. Five minutes later, I got a call from the hotel valet saying someone is asking to charge his parking to my room. I told him it was a scam and not to charge my room. After that, I cut off all contact with the provider, which was a shame because I'd have seen him two or three times a month (I was spending a lot of time in LA in those days) if he hadn't tried to scam me.
  20. Maybe I'm spoiled because I live in NYC, but my bank has a free ATM on nearly every corner, so it's easy to get cash to pay my provider. Last month, on my way to see my regular, I stopped at an ATM that only gave $20 bills, so I ended up handing him a thick stack rather than a few hundred-dollar bills. "Just like the old days" was his response.
  21. While I realize this site is focused on escorts and masseurs, keep in mind that the cash-based market for services is huge -- think housekeepers, nannies, gardeners, laborers, etc. They are mostly paid in cash. Cash payments let undocumented immigrants stay off the grid and allows all service providers to avoid paying taxes. Also, a purchaser of services above a threshold amount from a provider ($5,000 per year this year, I think) has an obligation to make a filing with the IRS identifying the provider and disclosing the total of payments to them, so undocumented cash payments may be advantageous to the purchaser as well. So, the next time an escort asks you for payment by Venmo, tell them that's fine but you need their Social Security number and you'll withhold 20% of the fee so you can pay it to the IRS. I'm guessing the escort will suddenly realize that accepting payment in cash isn't such a burden.
  22. Another thumbs-up for @FrancisCA. I saw him a couple of times as an escort a few years ago in SF (where I think he was based at the time). He is verse, talented and a very sweet guy. If I ever get to LA, I will try to see him again.
  23. This is my view too. I've been haggled with in my professional life, and I know how much that experience diminishes my attitude toward that client. So on the other side, if a provider quotes me a number, it's a yes/no decision for me. Haggling makes the interaction all about the money, which of course it is but I'd rather not have that in the front of my mind, and I don't want to risk annoying the provider. When I meet a non-pro provider (on seeking, for example), I ask them for a number that is meaningful to them because i want them to be happy with the arrangement, but I also tell them that if it's acceptable, I'll agree to it, but if it's not, we're done. That keeps them from asking for a ridiculous number and negotiating down, which would just piss me off anyway, but it also gives them a number that they acknowledge is satisfactory.
  24. I like his look and texted with him last fall. That was before the "finsub" or the "Mr. Noods" references in his profile. He wouldn't give a clear picture of how much he limited his physical activity (no fucking is clear, but oral? kissing?), so I assume it was a case by case thing or just a hard no that he knew would turn off too many clients. He also asked for 400 an hour. Too much money for too little promise, so I passed.
  25. This is a common story, and not only in the gay world. Through my work, I've known several older men who married much younger women who started as sugar babies and then graduated to wives. A BMW is one thing, but hopefully the sugar daddy in your story still has or shares title to the house and put a good pre-nup in place before the marriage.
