Awkward to check out of hotel on the same day?
jackcali replied to whatdoidowiththisagain's topic in Questions About Hiring
If I'm getting a hotel room for a liaison, I ask the escort that he book the room, which I'll pay for in full by giving him cash. As suggested, the escort can use the room after I'm gone for time away from his roommates or hosting other clients or whatever he wants. I would not leave the escort with the hotel room when it's my name and credit card on the booking. Too much opportunity for mischief. -
I also like looking for guys like this. They get something tangible out of the arrangement and are appreciative. The "professional" escorts also understand their business is finding and satisfying clients and appreciate (within reason) the clients who want to hire them. There are way too many of these kids on RM (and OF) who think they're doing the client a favor by taking their money. That attitude is so off-putting to me that I won't hire a provider if I get a whiff of it in our pre-hire communications. I'm sure it's off-putting to other client, so the provider had better change their tune or they'll wash out of the escorting business in short order. I'm sorry the original poster lost money to this guy, but I think he dodged a bad hire.

Suggest to the escort that he load up on Benedryl or another antihistamine. I used to see a provider who had two cats (I'm very allergic) and that was my strategy, but it also meant that I kept our sessions to less than two hours.

Am I to assume the provider cums or doesn’t cum?
jackcali replied to Erbenle's topic in Questions About Hiring
While I don't specifically ask the escort to cum in our sessions, I am frequently less happy with the session if he doesn't. Something about it being (ahem) harder to maintain the fiction that the escort is enjoying his time with me. -
Any info on this very new and very sexy Asian guy in DC?
jackcali replied to UpAndDown333's topic in The Deli
I texted with him recently when he was listed in NY, asked a couple of questions and tried to schedule a session. I got a complete run-around that blame on more than just lack of English skills. Forget about him. -
Providers Hitting You Up for Money
jackcali replied to jmichaeliii's topic in Questions About Hiring
I'm totally in agreement with blocking these guys, but I admit that I have given guys money before meeting them to pay for a hotel room. I leave it to them to secure the room and then I reimburse them, and a few times I've had an escort reach out and say they can't afford to book the room. I handled it by meeting them in person, giving them some cash to deposit at their bank and then proceeded as usual. I figured if the escort came out to meet me he wouldn't scam me for the hotel cost and miss out on an escort fee of 2-4x that. Only once was I scammed and, as I saw the problems other clients had with him in the few months that he escorted, I figured I was lucky to get away from him when I did. -
Just goes to show that it takes all kinds. The first time I saw his screen name I laughed out loud. He's totally not my type, so I'd never hire him, but I give him props for the screen name.
-
I also tried to contact him after I got no testimonials on here in response to the original post, but communication with him was so sporadic and so difficult that I gave up.

Wishful thinking, yes, but posted age and size have to bear SOME relationship with the real world. Everyone I know who's 5'10" or 5'11" claims to be six feet tall, and I accept that as harmless vanity, but if an escort says he's six feet and when I open the door he's 5'7", there's already a problem. That's true even though I'm happy to hire guys who are 5'7" (and often do). It's the discrepancy between reality and expectations that disappoints. The same principle applies to dick size.
-
Agreed. Before hiring, I want to see a couple of torso shots front and back, a face pic that doesn't have to be of the passport variety -- a side view or a partially obstructed or shadowed photo that still gives a sense of the guy's looks is fine, and a dick pic (which can also be in revealing underwear or with a towel covering) that confirms the guy's stated size is approximately accurate. I would hesitate to meet someone without seeing any face pics, but because I won't send a face pic myself, I've offered to come to their place when they can judge whether to let me in or not. I figure that, while I'm pretty ugly, my face is still better than the body.

How to Respond to Being Ghosted After Vacation?
jackcali replied to FaustOust's topic in Questions About Hiring
Well, even the best judges of character are wrong every now and then. Why speak in the past tense? ("I had hoped to see him again.") If you have had great times with him, including on extended trips, why write him off because he's not as engaged in his off hours as you'd like. (I have enough trouble finding guys who are engaged when they are on the clock!) Maybe he needs more time to grow into that relationship that you thought you already had. If he doesn't, you'll still be having fun along the way. -
How to Respond to Being Ghosted After Vacation?
jackcali replied to FaustOust's topic in Questions About Hiring
Can I ask you if it matters why is communications are infrequent? Either the relationship between you isn't the same to him as it is to you or maybe he just doesn't do small talk. Either way, he's not into communication between times together, so leave him alone until you're next ready to hire him. Who knows, maybe he'll even reach out to you if you're silent for a while. -
Don't even think of it as a mistake, @bcbg1205. You tried someone you thought you would like, but it didn't work out. It's not any different from trying a new restaurant or staying at a hotel you've never stayed at before. You heard good things or you just liked the look and you gave it a try, but it didn't meet your expectations. That's not a mistake. That's life. Nothing to do but move on and try someplace or someone else next time. It's the "re-mistakes" that I blame myself for. The internal monologue "well, he didn't look like his pics but he was still good looking," "he wasn't very interactive but maybe . . . ", etc, etc, etc, convinces me to try again only to have an even worse time of it. That's when I turn my disappointment inward because I should have known better.

. . . and he's gone.

Do I need to worry that cash is on it's way out?
jackcali replied to viewing ownly's topic in Questions About Hiring
Just last night, paying for dinner at my favorite restaurant, I noticed that the credit card receipt had a 3% charge for using a credit card. I was outraged, but it's my favorite restaurant, so I didn't say anything, but this is going to drive more and more people to use cash. -
Never say never, but I think I've never paid a provider other than by handing them cash at the end of the session. It doesn't feel at all awkward. I mean, we both know he's there for the money. Why be so delicate about hiding it?
-
I can't say for sure, but when I saw him in SF a few months ago, he had a pretty steady day job that I'm guessing keeps him in the SF Bay Area most of the time.

And it's not just restaurants. I've paid my home insurance bill with a credit card for years, but just this month they warned me that they'd charge an extra 3% if I used a card. I'll send them a check instead from now on. -
I have the same chaos with my work schedule and often ask for morning appointments with providers who host. I've had some success but must admit I usually ask for an 8 or 9am meeting. I always figured 6 or 7am was a non-starter.

Why are some clients saying “I only pay in cash”, when…
jackcali replied to JB_Studio38's topic in The Lounge
It's particularly irrational because hotels are more likely to have cameras in the elevators than in the corridors and it will probably be easier to see you counting in the elevator camera than when walking along the corridor. But we all have our quirks. 🙂 -
What makes a great ad for you to want to hire ?
jackcali replied to Ali Gator's topic in Questions About Hiring
All great suggestions on this thread. I'm much more likely to hire someone whose profile has three elements. First, a smiling face picture. People just look better smiling and for me it's easier to judge their looks and demeanor. I don't understand why so many providers post dozens of pictures with their faces with no smiles but many frowns and blank looks. Second, a couple of full body pictures in a swimsuit or gym togs or something else that reveals their body type. I don't need body part closeups (except see below) or twenty different poses, and I don't need the tourist snapshots. I don't care if you visited Times Square or took a selfie in front of the Eiffel Tower. Third, a dick pic. It doesn't have to be explicit. An indicative outline in a pair of shorts or under a sheet is enough to give me an idea of what the provider is packing. I'm not obsessed with size and I hire guys with normal or even small dicks if I like the rest of the profile, but I'd like to know before I hire. Of course, the posted sizes are often unreliable. One last comment is that these pics should be publicly available, though I understand a discreet provider holding back on a face pic. -
Why are some clients saying “I only pay in cash”, when…
jackcali replied to JB_Studio38's topic in The Lounge
For the same reasons of confidentiality mentioned by many posters above, I always pay in cash and will never pay by another method. If you don't take cash, I'm sorry but I'll move on. In my experience, younger providers are fine with cash, though my guess is they'd also take Venmo if I asked them. Just a couple of months ago, I went to an ATM to get cash and it only dispensed twenties and tens instead of hundreds, so that evening I gave my provider a ridiculously thick stack of bills. "Just like the old days" was his response.
