I’m grateful that I’m  enjoying a fulfilling retirement. I remind myself every day how lucky I am to be  a 70 year old who lives a very nice, happy life. So many gay men of my generation died way too young; many before they were even 30 years old. I’m grateful I avoided an early death. I’m also thankful for my friend's whether we have been friends for sixty years or six months. Finally , I’m thankful for this website.

New York has 8 million stars. If Mr. Radcliffe asked for my autograph I might give it to him but still be annoyed about his violation of my personal space. 😀

Reminds me of the old "confirmed bachelor" moniker.

I’ve never been a fan of candid camera type shows. I’ve always thought them sort of cruel taking advantage of people’s gullibility. But this show now streaming on Amazon turned out to be very different. The premise was that it was supposed to be a documentary being filmed about the behind the scenes of an actual jury process in a real trial but it was actually all fake with actors except for one unsuspecting person. That person turned out to be one Ronald Gladden who turns out to a “hero”. He’s sweet and charming and really quite attractive and his interactions with all the characters shows what a nice guy he turns out to be. Also fun that the very attractive James Marsden plays himself as an over the top version of himself. I watched all episodes in one evening as I wanted to see how it played out. I liked it a lot. James Marsden on the left, Ronald Gladden on the right  James Marsden in his bathing suit which has nothing to do with the show . I just like the way he looks.

I wonder how much of this behavior is a carryover from social media, in which one can immediately react directly to the poster (and all those in his audience), with little negative consequence.

What started at The Public 10 years ago is now a full-fledged Broadway musical, directed by Alex Timbers (Moulin Rouge) with an incredibly talented cast.
This show tells the story of Imelda Marcos, the evolving political landscape of the Philippines from 1970-1995 and what ultimately became the Marcos regime.  With shades of Evita, this show goes even further to not canonize the lead characters and give a heartbreaking, honest accounting of history.
The whole show is set in a '70s disco.  Fully immersive.  The entire orchestra section has had the seating removed and is a full-on dance floor in which the standing audience members also move with the changing set around them.  It's bright, loud and engaging.  The music is catchy (David Byrne/Fatboy Slim) and the vocals are fantastic.
If you don't want to stand, there are several other seating options available.
This is currently in previews, but will be THE show to see when it opens.  If you can, see this production.
