A partial solution is to select “sort by distance” under filters. The results are prioritized with platinum/gold members first and regular members second - and it sometimes also includes fake ads with their location set in your city…but it can give you a general idea of who’s actually in town. Provided that you’re comfortable sharing your location.

As a client, my biggest red flags are very short (one or two word) answers to any queries I might have prior to booking, which suggests a reluctance to engage and just general disinterest (so why escort in the first place?). 

I’m always serious when I inquire. This statement actually means “don’t contact me unless you will book me regardless.” 

I am late in posting a response here and I apologize for that. A couple of guys have written me individually asking about how my session went and I responded to them earlier today. I will tell everyone do not bother. I repeat do not bother. The guy is totally irresponsible. And not only that the massage was pathetic. Mutual touch is kept to a minimum. And there is no explosive ending. He doesn't do that. He came from Miami to Fort Lauderdale to where I was staying to do an outcall and we had a range for our time to be at 7:00. On a the Sunday evening. I had asked him to give me a heads up when he was on his way. By 7:00 I had never heard from him so I reached out and asked if he was on his way and he said can we make it 7:30. How he thought he would get to me and 1/2 hour without having left was beyond meBut what do I know So I said okay.At 8:00 had not arrived. I reached out again and he said oh let me put my shoes on and I'll head that way.I am disappointed in myself that I would allow this. But I did. I really thought after looking at everything about him on Instagram that he is quite accomplished for such a young man yet he is the height of irresponsibility. He had nothing but excuses without apology.I was supposed to pay him $240 and I said you'll get $160 on that's it.He did not live up to what we discussed therefore I'm not living up to the payment. He took the 160 and left. I took the 80 I had left over and bought a bottle of Jack Daniels. And a tort with cinnamon icing. Lol

I’ve done this many times.  One escort said his overnights were $1,800, and were from 10 pm to 6 am.  When I told him his price was a little on the higher end—and that those hours wouldn’t work—as I like to have dinner first, have some fun at home, sleep for at least six hours, and slowly wake up to more “fun”, he quickly changed his tune to $1,200 and more acceptable overnight hours.  When I asked why the change, he said the first price and hours were for guys that like to stay up all night and fuck around (and do meth perhaps).  Once he heard how easy I liked it, he changed.
I’ve also noticed several escorts from Central and South America have weird overnight expectations and hours.  One wanted like $1,500 for six hours AND a hotel.  I told him this is an O-V-E-R-N-I-G-H-T.  You spend the night with me, and go home in the morning for that kind of price.  You don’t leave in the middle of the night and go to a hotel.

I hope 400 doesn’t become the norm in SF, but there are lots of guys that charge less.  here are a few good ones that are 300 or less:

I get the supply/demand arguments. I also agree that 400 is more than i would ever spend. 
 
my 2 cents:  if you are passing for price, let the provider know VERY POLITELY why, so they know. Just a quick “sorry, too high” without haggling. So they know they lost your business.

If you're a lawyer or a Doctor, I'm sure $400 is not a problem.  But for average Joes, this is simply highway robbery!!  There has to be a line of demarcation when enough is enough, and I say that is $300.  I get the old supply and demand side of economics, but there must be common sense.  It's just buggery, not creating new art or writing a play.  My solution (tongue and cheek, so to speak) is that customers form a union and demand LOWER fees, or we go on strike!

But seriously, guys, $300 is more than enough.

You guys are over thinking it. I’ve been in exactly this situation. Just say due to economics you can only hire one and this particular time you’d like to hire so and so. Nobody will care. 

First time I have seen this in an ad on rentmasseur:

Providers need to understand very little in there is immutable and sometimes it lacks credibility.
So asking is actually a sign of interest rather than “wasting time” or demonstrating you are a flake. 

I try 3 times to set a appointment with him, he kept changing his schedule numbers time. I gave up. And plus he super flaky.
