It's always best to practice with another human first!
Seriously, though, doggie was the last position that felt comfortable for me.  Try either on your back in missionary (in a sling helps) or mounting as a cowboy while the top lays on his back.  Cowboy is probably the best position to learn because it puts the bottom in control of speed and position.  Doggie is probably the hardest at the beginning; but, it is the most fun once you've mastered the feeling and have become a true slut with your ass in the air!

I have used Mounjaro, a similar drug. I am not diabetic or pre-diabetic. I chose to take it for weight loss (and insurance did not cover it). It is not a fad diet type of thing like we’ve seen in the past. It works very well (along with choosing a proper diet and plenty of exercise). I lost 50lbs using it. My mother recently started using it and it’s going well for her (she’s 1 month in).

I think some people do have ill side effects from these drugs. You have to start with a low dose and ease into to make sure you won’t have these bad side effects. If you do, simply stop the drug. It might not work for you. From what I understand, it has worked well for lots of people, way more than those you hear about in the news with the bad side effects.

For me, it suppressed my appetite. I didn’t crave foods and almost had to remember/force myself to eat. It slows digestion so you feel fuller longer. It’s an amazing drug and experience for someone who has always loved food and indulged.

I lost my weight over a 6 month period, so it wasn’t anything too fast. I think I avoided the “Ozempic face”. Lol. I also play a lot of tennis, so I think the exercise helped me from losing too much muscle mass.

mds1 reacted to SFGateboy in Are YOU better off now than you were before COVID-19?
In most ways, my situation has largely stayed the same pre- and post-COVID (finances, social, personal, etc.) with one MAJOR difference (on the plus side): I now work exclusively from home. This has been something I've wanted my entire career, and it was only because of COVID that I got it, and honestly, it really is everything I thought it would be. Possibly even better!

I disagree. Time is the most precious, limited, unrenewable resource we have. I think lateness shows the greatest disrespect of a person. Early on in my hiring career I sat in a hotel lobby for 45 minutes for a provider that didn’t show up, and said never again.
This past weekend in New York I had a 2pm in call with a provider that he picked the time for and insisted on hosting. I get a text at 1:57, after I’m finishing my hot chocolate across the street, can we push it back to 2:30.  My friend who is staying overnight is taking his time to get out. I said I’m already downstairs and if you can’t see me by 2:05 I’m going to go. At 2:20 I get a text that I can come up now but I had already left.
Punctuality is really important to me, and a lackadaisical disrespect of someone’s time is inexcusable to me in nearly all cases, especially when you’re paying for a service.

I use that time to do a Bible Study.  But I avoid some of the over-stimulating books in the Old Testament.

I almost hired him earlier this year too. We reviewed all the details and he was set to come to my place, but at the last minute he said he had car trouble and required me to send an Uber for him (from Miami to Ft Lauderdale!). That’s a red flag for me so I declined. He then made some disparaging remarks and I never heard from him again. Dodged a bullet it seems!

I've been on the journey since August 2023.  I'm plateauing out 1.7mg/week right now past couple months.  The side effects were manageable with little indigestion/nausea for me.  I've dropped roughly 25 lbs since August.
It's not the right decision for everyone, but I feel this is the right decision for me. There's always a cost for any of our decisions.  Not doing anything to reduce the weight and continuing to lie to myself that I can diet and exercise my way out of 2 decades of obesity, comes with a side effect of remaining as heavy as I have always been.
Family history has some significant overlaps, and I don't intend to repeat the same pathologies.  I know what my likely life expectancy would be if I stay on that path.

    No…like seriously THICK skin.
Over the years I can remember exactly two "really fun" hook ups from the apps. That’s a really shitty return on the huge time investment. Not to mention the tremendous ego damage.
Just hire. It’s so much easier.

mds1 reacted to SouthOfTheBorder in Birthday gift-giving etiquette these days ?
the issue is the expectations - not the gift-giving or lack thereof
expectations will always let you down.  It’s better to have none at all & then maybe be pleasantly surprised by the unexpected
I don’t like receiving gifts, not even from my husband.  I accept gifts politely, but completely unnecessary - and then it should be done privately, never with anyone else present.  It’s not a spectacle and I don’t want to perform on cue.
Birthdays are blown wildly out-of-proportion for adults and really, this is a thing for children. Cards are sufficient if anything at all.
