  1. As a former small retail business owner (1987 - 2011), who tried to satisfy every customer and their whims, I have to say 'the customer is always right' has gone the way of the dinosaur. We, as customers, have allowed this. And I'm not talking about small businesses - I'm talking about big businesses. See how far you get with 'the customer is always right' when you deal with your cell phone company (especially Verizon), your internet / cable provider, your medical insurance provider, your local utilities, your credit card company, etc. - any big national business at all. They made it clear decades ago they don't care about you the customer and your satisfaction (we're all replaceable) - they are always right, and not you. From time to time, I will get a sympathetic customer service rep who has been doing his / her job for many years and will take the time to 'investigate' and take care of the situation to my satisfaction (I like when they say, 'You're right. You shouldn't have been charged for this.') But those customer service reps are a rare breed these days. The majority of reps I deal with over the phone and in person just read off their monitors. They are not allowed - not paid enough - to make a judgment call or solve a problem. They just read the script in front of them, and after four or five rounds with them to exhaust the customer, you are then put on hold until they drop your call. They are the gatekeepers, and their one job is to prevent the customer from going forward and fixing the company's errors. The customer ends up wiped out, and we give in to paying the erroneous charges and fees. It's happened to all of us more often than it has not. We have allowed this to happen to us, and accept it as a normal way of doing business, over the years.
  2. Question - everyone is saying he's a great kisser. How did it come about ? Does he make the first move or do you ? I've had one other masseur who kisses (and he's fantastic), but it started with him making the first move when I first met him = he started kissing as soon as I entered his hotel room.
  3. Another newbie to my area this coming week, direct from San Diego. He's been around since October, and his description suggests 'silence is best' so I'm guessing he speaks no / very little English ? No reviews on RM. Anyone have anything to offer ? 4. I did a search and came up with nothing. This guy has been a RM member for ten years, since he was 19 (according to his stats). He's coming to my area in a few days. For me, he has a great body - wondering about his face (which he doesn't reveal). Has anyone experienced him in the past ten years ? (Maybe he's a name switcher?). Please share ! 5. There was a really cute guy at my supermarket this past winter, and I always stepped into his line. I think he was mid-Eatsern, handsome with his dark looks and big brown eyes. He was always cordial and polite, about 45 (maybe 15 years younger than I). I always addressed him by name, and made light conversation with him. From the conversation, I learned he was single, and new to the area, trying to get accustomed to the neighborhood, etc. We always locked eyes and there was always a little flirtation between us. Finally, on my fifth or sixth visit (I usually went late on Sunday afternoons), I got the nerve to ask him out to dinner - and he said yes. However, in the mix of all the commotion (his line was never, ever busy when I would check out each week - except for this week), I was being rushed by the customers behind me and didn't get the chance to get his phone number (I think he felt uncomfortable, too, in front of all these people). So I told him we'd continue next week - he smiled, winked and said 'OK - next week'. Never saw him in the market again. And that was in February. I asked about him to a few other cashiers ("Does XXX still work here ?") and they shrug their shoulders with their tongues hanging out in response.
  6. This week Glover took over the role, and as expected - ticket sales dropped further (and tickets were heavily discounted). The theater closed off the rear orchestra and rear mezz this week, trying to keep the house looking somewhat full from the stage. Ticket sales for the rest of the summer are not encouraging. Many 'insiders' have said Glover taking over this week was a 'test run' to see if she could take over for Audra when she's to depart in October. Who knows if this will last until Audra's contract is up in October. (On a side note, Jean Smart's "Call Me Izzy" is also selling way below expectations - she's contracted through the middle of August, if this show lasts).
  7. I had no trouble communicating with him. His English is fine when I talk with him. And like it was said above, he does go out of his way to please his client. Very nice guy. I wish he'd travel to my area more often.
  8. Everyone is saying this will do very well on tour, and when its licensed to colleges, high schools, and community theaters. It will take producers a much longer time to recoup their investment (maybe decades), but they'll get something through these avenues.
  9. Something tells me all those diet / healthy / calorie conscious frozen foods (like 'Lean Cusine') will be next filing for bankruptcy. I predict a huge decrease in sales now that everyone just needs 'the injection'.
  10. Oprah should have given this more thought - knowing the opticals weren't the best.
  11. Streisand has posted on social media about her trio with Carey and Grande, I'm guessing to quiet everyone down. She got the message out that she really enjoyed working with these two strong women and the 'empowering message' of the song. Meh.
  12. Rosie O’Donnell Calls Out Oprah for Attending Jeff Bezos’ Wedding: ‘How Is That Possible? He Treats His Employees With Disdain… He Is Not a Nice Man’ TINYURL.COM Rosie O'Donnell does not understand why Oprah attended Jeff Bezos' wedding, which made her feel sick to her stomach.
  13. Of all the tracks on Streisand's new album, this recording seems to be the least favorite among fans and critics. This is the recording they keep hitting 'skip' on - certainly not the response Streisand and her producers were expecting. Second least favorite is her duet with Seal. No one likes that one, either.
  14. I think someone here recommended 'MobLand' and I owe you a big thank you! I'm half way through (started a binge yesterday) and it is fantastic. It's a good series to get into, now that 'Godfather of Harlem' has wrapped. One suggestion - use closed captioning with 'MobLand' - the accents are so thick, you may have a difficult time understanding. Enjoy !
  15. The star-studded collaboration “One Heart, One Voice” by Mariah Carey, Ariana Grande, and Barbra Streisand debuted on Spotify with only 317,000 streams — a surprisingly low number given the big names involved. Now, Mariah’s fanbase, the Lambs, are pointing fingers at Ariana’s fans, known as Arianators, for the lack of support. One Lamb wrote, “The Arianators as usual did not support anything. The important thing is art, don’t be discouraged Lambs!” Another fan said, “So this is the power of Ariana Grande, queen of streaming?” A third added, “This is the Lambs! Arianators only support Ariana, so congrats y’all! We did a great job.” The debate has sparked fan drama online, but some are urging others to focus on the message of the song instead of the numbers. #MariahCarey #ArianaGrande #BarbraStreisand #celebritynews #entertainmentnews

  17. One of our first 'Applebee's' opened in the late 80s in an outdoor shopping center which was going under major renovations to attract a 'middle class' shopper and their families. 'Applebee's' was a new name in town (for our area) and seemed like a good fit to help launch the 'new image' of the renovated center. As time has gone on over the past 35 years, the center went from 'middle class' to more 'upper middle class / lower upper class' shopper. There's been a conscious effort to attract higher end tenants, and Applebee's has been on the chopping block for when their lease ends (problem is they sign long-term leases, not to lose the space. The rumor is the landlords want Applebee's out, and a locally owned high end/ trendy restaurant in, to open their third location. As it happened, last Fall the restaurant had a major kitchen fire, and the building is inhabitable. It has to be torn down and rebuilt. It's been made very public that Applebee's wants back in to finish off their lease (I think another ten years was left), while the center is taking advantage of the situation, and won't let them back in (they're negotiating with 'locally owned' for the property). At this time, it looks like it's going to court to settle whether Applebee's still has a valid lease there, or not.
  18. I did reach out to this provider yesterday afternoon, letting him know I was very interested in meeting with him when he's in town, and was planning my upcoming holiday weekend. I did let him know I saw both of his ads with conflicting locations, and wanted to know which location he was scheduled to visit (my area, or the other). Benefit of the doubt, maybe he didn't realize the discrepancy in both ads, and this would even bring it to his attention. My text was friendly, polite and pretty direct. His response, late last night: "Hey". In the meantime, another provider who I always have the best time with reached out to me this morning giving me the heads up he will be passing through later this week / weekend, though he hadn't updated his ads yet (he'll do it later today). He wanted to see if I wanted to book with him now, before the ad goes up, because he's popular here and fills up pretty quickly (he only does about four massage appointments per day, as most guys book for 2 hours). I thanked him for thinking of me, and booked my appointment with him within minutes. No pre-pay or deposit like others would ask for, just a 'Great! You're all set. Look forward to seeing you then.'

  20. He is coming back to my area for the remainder of the week. After reaching out to him, he told me to book on his updated site. I noticed he now has 9 different 'offerings' to choose from in different price points (all seem reasonable for what you get). Smart guy! You can also pick and choose to add a couple together to make your own 'appointment'. Still, no 'escort' service and no kissing above the neck. This will be my third appointment in the past year. The first was phenomenal, and the second even better - it's true he's more comfortable and opens up more once he gets to know you by the second visit. He really does enjoy you 'enjoying him', more than any other provider I've ever been with. What gets the excitement going for me is when he 'prepares' himself in the bathroom before starting the massage - he rubs in some oil and 'gold powder' all over his chest and arms I'm tempted to try the four hand experience (I've met his bf - now his husband, I believe) the last time, and he was super nice and very sexy. However, part of me is very selfish and I don't want to share him with his boyfriend when I'm spending time with him ! 😜
  21. I try to be a bit detailed only if I've exchanged a few messages in the past with the person inquiring. I always caution that 'this is the experience I had' indicating their experience may be quite different, for better or for worse. (Some had better and some indeed had worse than I did). I've stopped answering inquiries for providers I met more than six months ago and had a one-time experience. I honestly don't remember, so nothing more to share than in my response from that time.
  22. For about four or five years, I was seeing an escort who lived in my area. He was a grad student from Madrid who was absolutely handsome (he looked very much like John Berman from CNN, just about twenty years younger and a little thinner). His rate was $200 for the hour, and he gave the best head. His personality was odd - sometimes he was extremely friendly, other times a bit distracted (he had a world of problems, starting with his roommate). Anyhow, on this particular day in July, 2020, he got a phone call as soon as we entered his bedroom and we were undressing. He told me he had to take this call and apologized. I heard him say to the other person, 'I'll be there in an hour'. I asked if something was wrong, and he said that was his dog groomer calling to let him know his dog was ready for pick-up so he couldn't do an hour. "But we can still do a 30 minute appointment" if that was OK with me - I agreed. We had a great thirty minutes (he was a great kisser, and a great bottom, too). We were done in 30 minutes, we got dressed and instead of handing him two one-hundred dollar bills as I always did, I handed him one for the half hour. He asked me where the other half of payment was ! I told him since our appointment was cut in half, I was giving him payment for thirty minutes. He then had the audacity to tell me he charged $200 for all thirty minute appointments, but because I was a 'regular' and a 'nice guy', he always gave me a free extra half hour. WHAT ? I told him that was bullshit - from the first appointment I had with him from five years earlier, his rate was $200 / hr. (I was even able to find his original text on my phone and let him see it). He then told me he changed his pricing the year before to $200 / 30 minutes and he was positive he told me (never happened). I didn't feel like arguing with him further, and I had planned on giving him $200 that day, anyhow. So I handed him the other $200. I could see in his eyes he knew he was wrong and knew he was jeopardizing a really good business relationship. When I was walking out the door he gave me a peck on the cheek and said, 'Don't be upset, baby...I'll give you 90 minutes the next time'. I just smiled at him, gave him a kiss, and thinking to myself 'There won't be a next time'. Once I got into my car, I blocked his number and erased him from my contacts - that was five years ago, and haven't regretted it. (I don't know if he's still escorting or still living in my area - shortly after I first met him, he took down his ad and only worked with a few guys as he was concentrating on getting his Master's).
  23. I would be interested in hiring him depending on his rates (he has 'ask me') and our schedules. I wouldn't be able to book him in advance with a deposit (most times they ask for one before they get to the city which I refuse), so going by past experience I won't get an answer to either his definite travel plans or his rates. I'll get the vague non-answer. Even when I keep asking, 'So you will be in my city on the fifth?' I will most likely get the 'no response' in the text exchange as I have in the past. I doubt inquiries from me and others in the area will persuade him to visit my area over the other - unless we all pony up deposits. On this one, I guess I'll wait it out.
  24. Hmmmm.... So there's a provider I've had my eye on for a while who has been advertising in my area for the past few weeks, in anticipation of his 'traveling' to my area (RI/MA) over the upcoming holiday weekend. I'm interested in an erotic massage with him, so I'm re-scheduling a few things to free up some time over the weekend (hopefully he will be free the times I'm free). I'm following him on Rentmen. He hasn't had his ad up on Rentmasseur in my area, so I thought nothing of it - maybe he just uses RM. Yesterday, somehow, I found that he does have an ad on RMass and for the holiday weekend he has himself scheduled elsewhere (FL). His travel schedule for the days leading up to the holiday weekend seem to match up on both sites, but when it comes to the three day weekend, there's a major difference. I was going to reach out to him to see what the deal was, but when I've done that in the past with providers I get 'vague' non-answer answers. (They just keep repeating, 'When do you want to see me ?' instead of confirming they are definitely going to be here). I realize he must just be 'putting it out there' to see if he does get interest from either location, and whichever area has the most response he will travel to ?
