  1. His choice of 'feuds' after that was questionable, and less memorable, at best. Capote and The Swans may be entertaining, but does anyone under the age of 70 know who these people are without Googling them ? There are so many other 'feuds' he could play out.
  2. The longtime residents are fine. I have no problem with them. It's the newbies who have moved into the area buying their first home, and not used to city-living (they all grew up in safe 'burbs, and not used to city neighborhoods). Heaven forbid a dog pees or poops on their lawn with their "kiddies" play. They need to protect themselves and their kiddies by moving to a gated community.
  3. Apparently, this news of her postponing some dates is coming from a major ticket-seller agency who has gotten their info from her team.
  4. You're mixing comedic actresses in with comediennes.
  5. Boy, you said it. I learned this over the years. I was the one who would always drop everything to help out others - whatever they needed done, I would do my best to help out and help them get through a challenge in their lives (except for money - I would never lend money, that's my boundary). I realized, though, that in the rare instance when I needed a helping hand with something, no one was around to help out. My biggest learning lesson was just three years ago when my dad passed away from Covid. Of all my friends, I was one of the few to still have a surviving parent - many had lost their parents over the recent years. When their parents died, though I could not make it to all the funerals, I did what I thought was proper - sending flowers, having a Catholic mass said for a 'month's mind' (a Catholic tradition), or sending a perpetual 'mass card' (another Catholic tradition), or simply making a date to take them out for dinner or lunch a few weeks after the funeral (when the reality sets in). They were all very grateful for what I did, and being respectful to them and their deceased. When my dad passed from Covid in June, 2020, and they found out, I got only text messages - 'Sorry to hear this. He was a nice man'. (There was no funeral for them to attend as everything was limited back then in the early days of Covid, but they didn't even ask about funeral plans). I was particularly shocked with one of my friends, who knew my dad very well as she would always join us for dinner on Friday nights when we went out for fish-n-chips (her mother passed a year earlier, and I sent flowers / did the mass card / took her to dinner to reminisce about her mom). She loved my dad. When I called to tell her on the phone, she said, 'Sorry to hear this.' Then she excused herself - had to go back to work. I didn't hear back from her for months, when she finally sent a text in September saying 'How are you doing ?'. I've learned the past few years. I've really learned.
  6. So long as you don't pee or shit on someone's lawn, I think you're fine. I say that because anytime I walk my dogs (and I pick up after them) , neighbors always scowl or say something about them peeing or pooping on the lawn. I respond to them that if they have a problem living in the city where people walk their dogs, then they should consider living in a gated community where rules are in place.
  7. Lupone is 100% correct. I've suffered through my share of 'Madonna' movies - including 'Evita'. She's awful.
  8. Her first husband absconded with hundreds of thousands of dollars from her - according to her. I don't think he made restitution, and she didn't press charges (maybe there was no case ?). She just abruptly divorced him. I wonder if this dude did her dirty ?
  9. Staying in. When I owned my store, I would be open until 5 pm or so, doing inventory (and it would be one of my busiest days post-Christmas week...turns out many people bring expensive 'hostess gifts' to New Years Eve parties). My city would also have their version of 'First Night' so I would sell buttons to the customers who wanted to go (I believe they were $10 each). The organizers of FN would let us know if there were any extra buttons when we closed on NYE we retailers could 'borrow them' so we could attend the festivities as well; we just had to make sure the buttons were back in the 'return batch' on January 2. So once I closed, about eight of my closest friends would gather at my store and we would go to a favorite, cozy restaurant on my street and have a festive dinner. (None of us are / were drinkers, so alcohol wasn't a problem). Then we'd head back to the streets to see musicians, artist, food tastings, etc. It was a nice time for some 20 years, until it all ended / scaled back during the recession in 2008. After that, we tried doing an early movie / dinner but it wasn't the same. In 2011, once I closed my store, I dropped out of the group and decided to stay home and go to bed early. Tomorrow, on NY day, a few of us (maybe four?) from the old gang will get together for a late lunch / early dinner at a nice restaurant. As we get older - we're all in our 60s now - we enjoy this most.
  10. The provider in the OP ? How did he scam you ? How did you find out ? Tell us more...
  11. I'm not sure why he was fired over this. As he said, he didn't violate anything in his contract with the school and he should be protected by the first amendment. He's been doing these videos for years, and has been a chancellor for nearly 20 at the school. What's the big deal ?
  12. The long awaited Ryan Murphy series "Feud: Capote vs The Swans" premieres on January 31 on FX. It's an eight episode series based upon the book "Capote's Women: A True Story of Love, Betrayal and a Swan Song for an Era". Tom Hollander (Capote) stars, with a cast including Demi Moore, Diane Lane, Treat Williams, Naomi Watts and Calista Flockhart. FEUD: Capote Vs. The Swans | Stream on Hulu WWW.FXNETWORKS.COM Capote was confidante to society’s most elite women until his act of betrayal destroyed everything.
  13. Exactly. He didn't know he was going to be Cosby'd.
  14. Host says to escort / guest : "I've heard that one before! The former bartender turned escort...You're going to make me a drink which will be drugged, knock me out for hours while you and your friend rob me blind. When I come to, you will be long gone, your Rentmen ad will be deleted, and your phone is disconnected. I have no recourse. All I'm left with is an empty condo and no cash or credit cards - even the family jewels are gone! Gone, I say! I'm left with just my Hillfigger underwear twisted around my ankles ! Like I've never seen an episode of 'CSI' in my lifetime. " Host gracefully falls on his nearby fainting couch, covers his eyes and lets out a deep sigh. Escort is befuddled, grabs his cell phone, and gets ready to leave. Host says: "Where are you going ? You promised me that drink..."
  15. I'll throw my two cents in for what it's worth.. When I come across an ad (like I did this morning - a new ad) with just a couple of faceless photos, I pass - no matter how well-written the ad is. The new ad in my area today had two photos of a body from neck to waist, in a tight tee shirt. Thanks, but I'll pass... I'm hiring the whole person, not just the torso or the pecs. I want to see the whole package of what I may be hiring. When someone doesn't include more body shots and face pics, I assume they're hiding something. I pass. Let's face it - if I'm looking for a car to buy online, I'm certainly not going to take a chance on the ad which only features photos of the driver's door and rear tire. I want pictures of the whole thing - at different angles.
  16. Then there's SHE...(shitty happy ending). 😬
  17. That's what I was going to say. The magic age number seems to be '28' for escorts - everyone is '28' for as long as they can get away with it (which means until they hit 40). There is an escort who is from my area (but travels everywhere most of the time) who lists himself as 35 years old (he updated that a few years ago, before that he was 28 for many years). I know his on/off girlfriend 'tangentially' through other friends. She's been throwing him his 50th birthday party which happens in a few weeks.
  18. Another red flag for me on this particular guy - why would anyone hire someone who looks like Frankie Grande ?
  19. Apparently she has also postponed Miami and Atlanta. However, these postponements have not been updated on her website, and I can't find an 'official link' - but this is what is being discussed on some of her message forums. The reason being given is that ticket sales for all four cities (Miami, Atlanta, Seattle, Boston) have been 'underperforming'. Stay tuned if this is all true...
  20. His videos would be much hotter if he was with a male college student in the videos. He's a gorgeous guy with a nice cock - I think it could be used in a sexier way with another guy.
  21. In one of the videos I started to watch he had a bit of trouble staying hard. Even with his wife performing oral on him, he had a tough time getting hard. Nice dick, though.
  22. @encyclopediamadonnica Madonna is postponing her Boston shows, 1/8 and 1/9. No reason has been given. Sorry to those with tickets, but sounds like it will be made up. Same apparently goes for Seattle. There's no reason given, so could have to do with just about anything — I know she has three ailing family members, for one thing. She seemed beyond sturdy throughout the tour, so barring anything sudden (COVID, etc.), it's probably not her health. Let's hope she's fine and will get back into the you know what. As for the "HERE WE GO AGAIN fans," you're just — you know.
