Maybe I'm old fashioned or had learned this from my mom, but I thought it's customary to provide service folks with small gifts or bonuses this time of year. A little cash or something to the mail carrier, paperboy (if there is still such a thing), hairdresser/barber, cleaners, etc.
So I'd think if an escort or massage provider is a regular, a small gift would be in keeping with this tradition. Of course there is passion involved with an escort/masseur's services so that might confuse things a bit, but a bit of extra cash or a small gift seems just fine.

For many years, our dearly missed Epigonos and I would leave his home in Orange County around 10:00-11:00 AM on Friday of the event weekend, which has often coincided with Coachella. We always arrived in PS in less than 2 hours. Note: Epigonos never feared speeding tickets. 😋

I was all ready to break out the spreadsheet (yes, really, I was peak nerd in April) of my expenses for the trip (not just Palm Springs, but also some other travel and an east coast reunion) but instead I'll just second what @nycman and @purplekow have already said. The main expense is the travel (don't I know it), then the unavoidable high cost of most accommodation in Palm Springs, and a car rental if you choose either to fly into an LA basin airport rather than PSP or to have the safety net of your own wheels for the duration. Those costs are easy to scope before you go. Once there, I spent of the order of $100 on groceries, coffees, wine and take-away food on top of the modest costs of the two scheduled restaurant meals. You could spend more depending on where you choose to eat (my room had a kitchen). The cost of in-room entertainment is another matter.

So long before I thought about escorting, I appreciated the value of referrals with my daytime job. A referral is almost as good as doing business with a client.
When I got into this business, "escorting by referral" was a great way to get "immersed" so to speak and it gives a real positive sense the booking right from the beginning. I still ask for referrals and love when I'm told "a client referred me". For the providers, how often are you referred, do you actively seek referrals? I realize it needs to be approached carefully. For clients, do you like when you get "a referral" to a provider based on a positive experience by others?

Aaron Lawrence is and was too often a kind of punch line, only because he was SO expensive (he wasn't) and he was so young looking (that's bad?) and he was so money hungry. Ok, that one was true :-) and I've always been too lazy to be money hungry, but good for him! (though swimming in cash on the cover of your book might be a bit much) (also, those russian videos repulsed me, but so what, right?)
We owe him so much. We really do (for one this website might not exist). All escorts young and older too incurious and oblivious to recognize his name, should be embarrassed (is that possible anymore?) And all clients owe him just as large a debt.
I've been reading the old ATKOL forums from the mid '90s and he was wise beyond his years in a field with little resources at the time.
