Beancounter Posted February 4, 2019 Posted February 4, 2019 Darn, never learned bridge. A hand or two of canasta anyone? A lot more midwestern. Midwestern guy here....canasta, pinochle, euchre, spades, hearts. Used to play them all. + Oliver 1
Beancounter Posted February 4, 2019 Posted February 4, 2019 I haven't played in years, but I'd be willing to be a fourth if a table needs to be filled. We may have enough players to fill two tables. I’ll bring the cards with me.
+ Charlie Posted February 4, 2019 Posted February 4, 2019 I am a weekly Bridge player and would love to join the group, but unfortunately I won't be present for the weekend this year. Keep me in mind for next year. Beancounter 1
Guest Ace Posted February 4, 2019 Posted February 4, 2019 All of you playing bridge at The Canyon Club? There's NO WAY I'm giving up my room now! Naked cocktail server job FILLED!
Beancounter Posted February 4, 2019 Posted February 4, 2019 Should I bring a cribbage board? I used to play cribbage as a child but have totally forgotten how to play. The scoring was something like 15-2, 15-4, etc. You will have to teach me how to play again, @Epigonos
TruthBTold Posted February 4, 2019 Posted February 4, 2019 Midwestern guy here....canasta, pinochle, euchre, spades, hearts. Used to play them all. Yes, my friends and I used to get together and play canasta, spades, and hearts. The downside was that we usually were so drunk or high that I always had to be reminded of the rules. But we had fun, one way or another. Beancounter 1

Beancounter Posted February 5, 2019 Posted February 5, 2019 That's awesome, because I could really use a refresher too but I used to love playing it. We both need to contact @Epigonos and have him give us a refresher course. I think it would be fun. + Socalguy 1
+ E.T.Bass Posted February 5, 2019 Posted February 5, 2019 Midwestern guy here....canasta, pinochle, euchre, spades, hearts. Used to play them all. I grew up and went to college in the Midwest. We played those and also backgammon and cribbage. TruthBTold 1

Beancounter Posted February 7, 2019 Posted February 7, 2019 This will be my inaugural PS weekend and am truly looking forward to it. I’ll be attending the Saturday evening dinner at Trios and the Sunday afternoon pool party. While I assume this is a “What happens in Las Vegas, stays in Las Vegas” type of weekend is it alright to take a picture or two of people we meet or is that taboo? I almost always ask if it’s ok to snap a pic unless it’s a landscape type shot? I don’t want to be the one everybody gossips about after we all go our separate ways. I certainly wish to respect the privacy of both clients in attendance as well as escorts.
Epigonos Posted February 7, 2019 Posted February 7, 2019 The only thing I would caution you about regarding taking photographs is to make certain you ask your subjects first. Also check the background of any photographs you take. + Oliver and + E.T.Bass 2

Yeah, be extra careful with the background, I made the huge mistake of not doing it last year and violated several attendants privacy. Despardo 1

+ Pensant Posted February 8, 2019 Posted February 8, 2019 I’ll be driving in early Thursday from OC, to avoid the horrific evening commute on the 91 east. Will any others be getting in early? Would be fun to share drinks with some of the early arrivals.
mike carey Posted February 8, 2019 Posted February 8, 2019 I've often wanted to play bridge, but I've only ever been a 500 player. Oh, and I'd stand next to Victor any time. Whether he'd want to stand next to me is a separate question.
