RM Removal of Prices in Ads

A client notified me today that my prices were not listed in my ad. I had physically typed them out in the body of my ad. It's ok, just a lot more messages, filtering and possible time wasters.

Shit. I expect they'll make their way to editing them out in NYC soon then. Which will suck. 47 calls a day from guys who somehow find it easier to call me at 4 am rather than just look at my linked website (and wanting to pay $49.95).

I think RM did away with the price section some time ago. Guys have been sneaking them into the ad copy but I guess RM is deleting them when found. Including a price has been controversial for a while.

I really don't understand why the fuss about prices being shown in an ad - what is wrong with including a price?

 

If we went to a grocery store and had to ask a clerk what each item cost, the store would have to hire extra personnel just to answer a question that is so simple to post in the ad.

 

Yes, I know, this subject has been discussed countless times. Nonetheless, I do not understand why prices are removed if the escort chooses to include a price in his ad.

It’s because showing rates is a much more overt suggestion of a transaction and, when placed next to a video of a penis entering an anus, might give someone the wrong impression that they were linked. The medium by which that alleged transaction is conveyed could incorrectly be considered to be facilitating it.

However, those who are able to read an ad and hire from that ad, do you think an hourly rate shown in the ad changes the meaning or intent of the ad?

 

Think of all the unnecessary calls the escort will get just to answer a simple question.

 

Furthermore, many readers of escort ads do not respond to ads that do not include a rate.

Looks like a number of people near me have been able to snake their rates back into their ads but I can't seem to I guess it doesn't really matter. I shouldn't be fussing over this haha. If they're really taking them out of everyone's then it's only a matter of time until those people get them pulled again anyways.

If I understand what you are saying, I do something similar in a different way. When I used to have an Android I would use an App called Sticky Notes, in my iPhone I use Notes. I write my standard message for a first contact, or if I am doing an specific search I do it with that specific message, and keep it saved. When I am hunting I copy the message and just paste it in the messages for the guys I am researching.

I do the same when I am hitting guys in IG or Twitter looking for models.

Try reporting your rate without using numbers, sneaking it like in, for instance, I am the average between two hundred and three hundred. Or I am three Benjamin Franklins.
