  1. Yeah to be honest I have seen discrepancies there too and I'm not entirely sure what it means. I tend to just look at the stats page and sorta judge everything off of the total visits, and ignore the unique ones. Both clients and providers are able to like, turn off whether or not it shows up when they visit a profile, so my guess is that if you have that turned off, you show up under total views but not unique views. I have also made the guess that like, people visiting your profile that don't actually have their own profile set up on RM show up as a total view but not as unique. I don't really know to be fair, those are just kinda what I've guessed. Idk if that made any sense haha, I'm not entirely sure how well I described that. Idk if you're new to RM or not, but personally I just try not to really worry about the stats so much. IMO views don't really mean very much.. what matters is people actually contacting and booking you. I think there's just a level of unpredictable randomness in that sense that you can't really do too much about unfortunately. But I'm still relatively new to everything compared to others on this forum, so I might not be able to give as good of input as others can.
  2. I've also been thinking about the camming set up through RM... I just thought I should also ask if anyone has an experience with that using that site in particular, or if it's worth it compared to other sites like CB or Cam4? Thanks! I appreciate all the info I've been getting from this!
  3. I copy/pasted this directly from RentMen.. idk if you hadn't seen this, or if their description is what you were having trouble understanding, but I thought I'd throw it into this thread just in case. I really don't mean for this to come off as patronizing or condescending or anything lol, I just thought it'd be a useful to post this in this thread as a reference.
  4. I sorry if this is the wrong place to ask this, but I'm just hoping for a bit of advice/input from anyone that has done cam work before. I tried it out for like a week or so about a year ago, and although I did decently for that short amount of time, I ended up stopping since it just felt soo boring.. my next step was to start getting into escorting actually, haha. However I've had a bit extra free time as of late. Business has picked up a little bit lately but it's still be quite slow compared to what it was before the whole FOSTA thing. I've been thinking about trying it out again, but at the same time I really hate the part where like, you're expected to constantly be focused on your viewers, even if there are only a few at a time, and it basically seems like you get written off entirely if you are multitasking or doing anything else at all to pass the time while waiting for more interested people to show up. I'm very much on the fence about this so I thought I'd reach out here to see if anyone has any advice or experience to share, since I just hate the part of sitting around and waiting for anyone interested to show up. It's something I really wouldn't mind doing a small amount of here and there as a bit of extra income... it's just the sitting around and waiting part that really gets to me haha.
  5. I haven't yet done any traveling as an escort, but I'm gonna mostly agree with @Mocha . I've been looking into doing some traveling this summer, and basically I've come to the conclusion that like, at least for me it'd be best to just go somewhere that I actually want to visit anyways. If it's profitable, great. If it ends up not being profitable, I'm still getting a trip out of it that I wanted to take anyways. It would kinda suck if at the end of the trip I haven't even broke even but, I think when I travel I'll just go with the mentality that I might not even break even and focus on enjoying the trip, making it worth it regardless. To be fair I really enjoy traveling and like discovering new places though. I know not everyone is into that so much.
  6. I definitely see how it does! Not throwing any shade but like I said, personally I'd maybe make a small comment once to sorta let the client know that I'm aware of the extra and appreciate it, but not really push it much more.
  7. haha I'm not that guy obviously, but my first thought is that he's mostly leaving that option open and being nice! It's definitely the type of thing I would say lol. I'm not trying to say he's being fake or anything, I just imagine that it's a situation where basically at the follow-up when he mentions that you had given him too much, he's giving you the option to take the extra off of the rate during the follow-up based on his normal rate, but at the same time not like, overly force it and make you feel uncomfortable about it lol. And I mean, who's really ever going to honestly say "this is outrageous you've absolutely given me too much I cannot accept this!" hahaha
  8. Yeah I mean I don't go anywhere near 300/hr haha. Mostly rate hasn't been an issue with RM clients, but it's been an issue with people on A4A ever since I started using that site as well.. but idk I should honestly just stop trying to make my rate work for people on there so much. It feels like people on there wouldn't even be open to 100/hr.. and honestly I couldn't go any lower than that. 100/hr would hardly even be worth it for me.. at that point it'd be less about the rate and more about the possibility of gaining a new regular lol. Thanks for all the insight! I definitely feel way more confident now with just sticking to my normal rate instead of trying to make everyone single person that contacts me happy, lol.
  9. I mean, I totally agree with figuring out that part of it quickly so that it doesn't have to be a major part of the entire interaction -- that being said I'm not asking for a lengthy barter and debate. On the other end of it when someone asks my rate I don't feel like it's the best to pull out a giant list of different rates for all sorts of different things; It feels better to throw out a quick hourly rate as a response, but be open to discussing that simple rate.
  10. OK I SWEAR I was typing out my post and hit post reply, and THEN saw this post of yours. I wasn't commenting on that issue AT ALL. I was just trying to make a general observation. I imagine there are definitely some places where a ridiculous amount of racism makes it extremely difficult; don't get me wrong!
  11. I have a bit more free time than usual now and I've been hoping to get out and travel since I haven't done much of that in a long time, and doing this gives me an excuse to travel alone.. otherwise I have a hard time making the commitment to go on trips without having others with me. I'm sorry to hear you've had such a hard time with the DMV area... that was one area I've actually been thinking about visiting this summer, well really more the Maryland part of it, but maybe I'll rethink that a bit now haha. I obviously haven't been doing this for all that long and I don't have experience with getting clients outside of my own local-ish area, but I imagine that if I get as many flakes and bs here in an area that's not like, crazy filled with either the supply or the demand... a larger city/metro area with a bigger supply/demand would amount to way more contact but also a lot more flakes, just because the base supply and demand is generally higher.
  12. I hope it's ok to post this here! This is mainly a question for clients, but of course I'm happy to hear anyone's input! I have a normal, standard go-to rate that I tell potential clients when they ask what my rate is, however I try to make it clear that I personally feel every client is different, so I'm always very open to discussing the rate with potential clients. It isn't that my normal rate is necessarily high-balling and looking to be challenged by a client... it's really just the type of thing where if my normal rate works for you, great, if it doesn't, let's discuss it a bit further and figure out something that works well for both of us! Not everyone wants it to be hourly, some people want things like 90 mins, and some simply need to get it a bit lower, etc. Whatever. I'm absolutely OK with working with any client when it comes to agreeing on a rate before we schedule. However, I feel like a fair amount of the time when the client isn't comfortable with the normal rate I tell them, they won't try to work out something that works better for them with me, even if they seem very intent on hiring me... they'll either just stop talking and pass, or look to me to just randomly throw them a lower number. There are still times when clients that are unhappy with the normal rate will discuss it with me and ultimately try to make something work, but it always feels like a bit of a let down when they just don't even see the point in trying to discuss it with me. At first I thought it was the language, so I quickly made the switch to using very soft, non-aggressive language with things like "discuss" or "figure out what works best for both of us", etc. Anyways I know there's a lot of random hypotheticals and extraneous variables to this situation overall, but with all that said: As a client, if you were talking with a provider and interested in hiring that particular provider, but weren't fully comfortable with their rate, would you be open to discussing the rate with that provider, especially after the provider made it clear that they're open to having a dialogue and coming to solution that ultimately works out for both of you? If you would rather move on than have this sort of conversation, why? I'll also note that for the most part I'm not talking about clients that contact me through RM at all. In general clients that contact me through RM more or less expect the rate I tell them and are comfortable with it. This is more about potential clients from other sites... as least as far as I've been able to tell there's weirdly a way higher level of understanding and professionalism on RM than on anywhere else.
  13. Totally unrelated but your signature on here just gave me a good idea and I'm not gonna make mine exactly the way you've done yours but uhh.. you might notice some influence
