Hi guys, new to the site. I took the plunge. Ordered the 20mg soft chewable Cialis. I’ve never taken E.D. meds and I know it varies from person to person, but I’m wondering what to expect, especially the first time I take it. I was reading some stuff on-line that says you won’t get a raging boner but also read comments here from guys who said they do. I was reading it typically takes 1 - 2 hours to kick in and lasts for up to 36 hours. For those who’ve taken it, does that sound accurate? Thanks!

On 20 mg of cialis, I get very firm boners. It all feels very natural, like when you were an adolescent. You see a good looking man and you pop a boner. You think about sex and you pop a boner. I think erections are longer lasting with viagra than with cialis.

I take 20mg Cialis in pill form. I find it takes an hour or so to be absorbed. Bear in mind foreplay is necessary; I’ve not known it to provide an instant or “raging boner”. IME with foreplay, it gives me a strong erection; the effects last for 36-48 hours.

 

For instance, I take it in the early afternoon and we have sex before dinner. We may play again later before sleeping and in the morning I’ll wake up with an erection. I find Cialis very reliable (and for me, preferable to Viagra).

 

FWIW This time my private physician prescribed the generic Tadalafil and I was stunned at how cheap it is (24x 20mg pills for $14 in the UK)

Sadly, Cialis made me dizzy, lighheaded and a little disoriented... I've heard great things about Cialis, but it just doesn't agree with me.

I always think a man should consult his physician before starting on either drug to deal with ED. After all there can be several reasons why a man doesn't get a strong erection. Not drinking enough water is one common reason.

 

That said, Cialis is generally rather safe. The general advice for someone taking Cialis is

No fatty food

No alcohol

No grapefruit juice

as these impair its proper working.

A "low dose" daily strategy works well for me for Cialis and generic. Dissolve pills in a measured amount of non-acidic juice (like apple) and keep in refrigerator. Take a measured amount of the juice daily. (ie, 1x20mg dissolved in 4oz juice = 4 daily 1oz doses). The extended effect of each dose means they overlap to always keep me good to go.

I have tried both plus an “Herbal” one called “Hot Rod 5000”. All work great, with generic Viagra (Sildenafil) being my preference. Since I don’t have ED, but use them for that extra boost when I have to wear condoms - I am not sure if results are different for me. The side effects are a bummer, but I am used to them. (Flushed face, runny nose, heartburn, and sometimes headache.) I still find it worth the consequences when I am meeting someone new, or where nerves or condom use might affect my rigidity. Sildenafil is still expensive, but a coupon on line from Good RX brought cost down to the crazy great price of 24 cents per 20 mg pill. That is HUGE! Have fun:)

@RJD 20 mg sounds like a lot. I've taken 10mg and found it works great. Only issue is sometimes it gives me a headache. Also, generic Cialis is available now so there's no reason not to get a prescription and get it from a reliable pharmacy.

 

I've also found that I appear larger when soft, so... added bonus if you're showing off at the gym.

20 mg sounds like a lot. I've taken 10mg and found it works great.

 

I’m experimenting with the dosages. Has anyone found that less is more? I’m doing the 20mg Cialis but wondering if 10mg might be more effective. I also tried stacking last weekend. Took 20mg Cialis Friday afternoon and 100mg Viagra Saturday afternoon during my weekend with [uSER=12155]@Dominiking[/uSER] (that boy has stamina ?) and it appeared to work.
