Normal for an escort to ask you where he should stay?

I find myself befuddled tonight and needing some guidance. Earlier this evening I reached out to an escort that I assumed was already in town for the week. We are texting back and forth. Here's a rough transcript of how it went:

Me: (I ask what days this week he has availability and describe what I'm looking for to see if we are compatible)

Him: (He assures me it will be a fun time, sensual, affectionate, and that he can deliver the BFE. Then he says he's driving up tomorrow and is only in town for one night. This confuses me because his RM ad previously said he was here from 10/2 to 10/6.)

Me: "Oh. So you're only in town from tomorrow through the 6th?"

Him: "No. Just overnight. I can see you tomorrow or Thursday morning. Can you host?"

Me: "No. I am unable to host."

Him: "Oh. What part of the city are you in? We will have to get a cheap motel room then."

He then proceeds to send me options of cheap places around town with the prices (including a Motel 6). I wondered if he was expecting me to say I was going to pay for it?

Him: "So what do you think about the Motel 6?"

I pause because by now I'm thinking there are red flags all over the place. I paused for maybe half a minute.

Him: "Hello?"

At this point I was feeling very awkward and cornered and said I had something work related to tend to (which was partially true.)

I am horny as hell, and this guy physically really turns my crank, but I was not getting good vibes throughout this exchange. Am I right that it's not normal for an escort to be getting the client to help him figure out which "cheap" (i.e. sleazy) motel he should stay in?

The whole thing makes it seem like he's not taking this very seriously, which in turn makes me believe he won't be taking our session very seriously.

Thoughts? Am I writing him off too quickly?

he may be entirely fine, but just fishing for business and may be a bit inexperienced......I don't know if he was looking for a cheap place to keep his expenses low......or if he was looking for a cheap place to, as a courtesy, keep YOUR expenses low??!!!......

has he been mentioned anywhere here in the forum....ever....?

a direct phone call always helps me make a decision.....

I don't think red flags are flying, but some due diligence and frank talk on the phone ("would really like to meet, but I'm confused about why your ad said Oct 2-6 and you didn't really seem to be coming here at all?") might help....

Very little info on him, Victor Powers. For now I'm going to trust my intuition. It's going to be my first time, and I want it to be special. Setting is an important factor to me in creating the type of atmosphere I'm looking for. It just sucks, though, because options in my city are few and far between.

I think you are wise for trusting your instinct. I have no trouble staying at a Motel 6 for a sex date when traveling. Some are very nice. However, if I wanted a "special occasion" or "BFE" time, that isn't where I'd stay.

The changing dates would give me pause as they did you. Something is not quite right there.

Lastly, I'm thankful that @VictorPowers provided input. It has to be validating that an escort agrees with your perception.

I would've ended the conversation after this text lol

You'll never have the experience you're looking for in some cheap motel. Find the right guy first (someone that actually has their shit together), then book yourselves a nice room in a high end hotel. That's what I did for my first escort and we had a great time, still see him once in a while. Have some drinks before and maybe even dinner afterwards. Invest in your experience if you want it to be special...

I’ve found hotel rooms on the fly for traveling guys before and things have subsequently gone well so I wouldn’t really consider it a showstopper red flag. It sounds like he’s never been to your area and also perhaps an inexperienced traveler. One of the most pleasant experiences I’ve ever had was with a very sweet guy just starting escorting who was working his way across the country and needed some non~financial help in a few different ways.

When this happens I try to separate the logistical misqueue from his intent and ability to provide the experience I’m looking for. Also, I try hard to not make decisions based on being horny and, as others have said, trust my instincts.

I am horny as hell, and this guy physically really turns my crank

At this point I would open booking.com and just book the hotel that I like, and then tell him the address, fully expecting to pay for the hotel also.

This guarantees I have done every I can to deal with my horny-ness.

But then I can say to the escort : I got you a nice hotel for you to stay for the night. Can we make our meeting last longer given that I paid for your hotel?

Done that too... left my buddy in the room to spend the night, but only in cases where it was someone I knew and trusted that I wouldn’t see a $500 credit card charge for cigarette smoke cleaning.

(I don’t care if he subsequently saw other clients in “our” room... I actually hope he did if it’s what he wanted and was able to set it up to earn a little extra. Good for him and good karma.)

You guys should know that hotelsbyday.com is a good source for rooms. You can reserve a room for a block of time, e.g. 9 am to 1 pm or 9 am to 3 pm or whatever the hotel offers. Most of the time you don't pay until you check in and there is free cancellation. This is excellent for those those escorts who can't host as well as for the client. Who pays is up to both escort and client. Cost is minimal compared to renting the hotel room for a 24 hour period.

+1 on the HBD app, it’s works really well for me, one of the local places that’s pops up is a well regarded Hyatt Regency, convenient, nice, and affordable for 10am-4pm!

Hbd is only available big-ish cities at the moment, so I don’t think we are helping this young poster.

Youngboldone I'm a bit confused. If this is your first time hiring and setting is important to you then you need to take control. If you hire a visiting escort you don't normally have any control over the type of hotel he is using. He arranges the hotel and he pays and you visit. Now if you want control you look for a hotel that has the type of setting you want and YOU pay for the room. It is really as simple as that.

Way before HBD I’d call hotel front desks and inquire about “day rates” like noon-5pm or so. Of course not all offered this, but many, many did. Marriotts, Holiday Inns, local Hilton, etc.

Yes, he may be inexperienced, and that will probably reflect in a session. If he's new, he probably doesn't have the financial resources for a "good" hotel. But consider this - he was asking advise, a cheap place that you would be comfortable at. If he's not familiar with the area, he's doing the wise thing. Plus, if you're the one session he has, he won't want all that money going to expenses.

You say he's experienced, but not familiar with the area, it's still wise to check with someone from there. Honestly, I'd met a guy I was OK with at a cheaper hotel than I normally want so he'd make more money, since that part of the atmosphere isn't what I'm after.

Getting a good hotel for one session and not using it for more does seem like a waste.

Maybe he just started... I think if he wants to last in the business he'd better get a place for incalls.
