I'll look at DuPont and Cap Hill areas then. It's not important at all that I be by the MAL action since that is not my thing.

Hugs,

Greg

@GregM Consider any of the Kimpton hotels as a good option. Hotel George is one block from the Hyatt. Also the Rouge, Madeira, or Palomar are in DuPont and would be good choices.

I bought my plane ticket today. I'm flying in on Fri early morning into BWI. Not excited about flying into an airport so far away. But it was half the price and cheaper than the other two. Grrrrr!!!!!

Hugs,

Greg

I think there is a train line that goes right thru BWI on it's way to Union Station in DC. Very convenient. And Union Station is near Capitol Hill if staying there and has Metro connections toward Dupont if staying over there.

You can catch an Amtrak train from BWI to Union Station in Washington DC. I think the super saver price is like $30 one way. Or as Latbear suggested, take the super shuttle.

The Maryland commuter railroad MARC Train Penn Line will be running Friday morning, it's $7 from BWI to Union Station in DC.

So, I have my flight and hotel booked. I'm staying in the convention area. I get in early morning of the 12th. I'm kind of wishing I was getting in on the 11th but oh well. What would those of you in the know would say is an absolute must see? I pretty much only have 2 and a half days to see stuff. My flight doesnt leave till about 9pm on the 15th and that's out of BWI. Should I try to see something in the BWI area or skip it? I enjoy old buildings, glass, and good food.

Hugs,

Greg

Good luck with this event, guys. I won't be attending it (I'll be in Bali then) but if any of you who are organizing this have any questions, perhaps I can help - as a longtime DC resident - and a former organizer (and DEMO host, hahaha) of the DR DC weekend - for several years. Just hit me up.

Thanks Dave! It won't be the same without your demos but we'll see what we can do...

The Halocaust Museum is a Must See -Check in advanced for timed tickets

Both the FDR Monument and Vietnam Memorial are pretty amazing - I find the Lincoln Memorial to be both dramatic and inspiring.

You will want to come back and when you do leave time to see Jeffersons home Monticello - but with travel it is a minimun of 6 hours -- Of all the Smithsonian Museums I like the Aeronautical Museum best

Any updates? Should we be starting to RSVP to have an idea of the number of attendees and the size of the restaurant needed?

Yes... Some of us have sent our RSVP directly to @ArVaGuy or @nate_sf. I'm booked at the Hotel Palomar near Dupont Circle, by the way. Stayed there for the 2016 forum gathering and liked it a lot.

Hey Guys,

I've been distracted by a personal matter that has kept me from the forum at times.

@nate_sf and I are finalizing details and everything is pretty much all set. We're tracking the RSVP response and cross checking our respective lists. Once the holidays are over you can look out for details via email right around New Year's.

There's still room for more escorts and clients to attend. If you're still tentative that's ok for now.

Looking forward to seeing everyone soon.

Gentlemen,

Looking forward to seeing you in January. It's going to be a fun weekend for sure. I'm making a "site inspection" of Secrets tonight with some friends. Will be sure to check out the goods on display to make sure they are satisfactory for the "field trip" during this event. I'm taking one for the team here. ;)

Please reconfirm your plans to attend to me and @nate_sf by next weekend. If you are in the "maybe" category we need you to let us know if it's "yes" or "no" at this time. I need to review set up with the venue and need solid numbers.

Also, if you haven't already, please send us your email address. We will be communicating with everyone via email with final details. Please send via private message. It would also help to provide your first name if you are comfortable.

Thanks
