Thanks for that information.... I would really like to attend this forum. Just not sure my Hubby would be on board with my attending. He know's what I do, he might view it as me taking a mini vacation without him.... :(

 

@Michael Paul, you could always bring him with you and make it a social trip, it doesn't have to be a hiring opportunity for you. Or you could limit yourself to outcalls on the trip. Of course, I have no idea how much detail he either knows, or wants to know about what you do.

 

 

@Michael Paul In the past we've had instances where a escorts have brought their significant other to the gathering. As @mike carey mentions, they attended MALas a couple and side business was conducted separately.

 

MAL is a tremendous amount of fun on its own. I'm sure you both would enjoy attending.

For the public record, I intend to be there for this forum meeting, despite having been snowed in last year and almost missing my chance to see Alec Andrews in LA on my way home. I haven't booked flights or hotels yet but there's plenty of time for that. I told @ArVaGuy this a couple of days ago, but thought I needed to declare it in the main forum.

I will also try to keep the snow away from that weekend though as cool as it is here today, we might be in for an early winter. :confused:

An update for those interested, we currently have ten confirmed attendees and several others have indicated strong interest. Considering that it's still several months away this is a decent response rate.

I'm looking at the dates, and all I can think about is how damn cold it's going to be in DC around then!

It is interesting that when it is cold outside there are amazing ways of making it hot inside.

 

By the way, I am in for the weekend. It was fun the years I attended. Lots of things to do in DC and lots of men to do at MAL and of course the escorts from this meeting are always a tasty dessert.

 

Glad that last year's problems have not dampened spirits for this year. Mr. Powers, can I arrange a meeting now?

PK, we are looking forward to seeing you again in January. You are so right about the tasty desserts. Last time I had TWO handsome dessert orders delivered to my hotel right after the lunch. YUMMY!!! ;)

Yep the date is approaching, just over two months away!

 

The Hyatt Regency (host hotel) is now fully booked for Friday and Saturday night. Immediately near MAL, The Liason is directly across the street and as of now still shows rooms available though they're pricey. The George is one block up the street, and also still shows rooms and the rates are more reasonable. I've stayed at both for MAL and they're both good. The Washington Court Hotel is also up the street in the next block, though I haven't stayed there myself.

 

In terms of Hotwire, the Hyatt where MAL is held is in the "Capitol Hill" zone. DC is relatively easy to get around on transit, and walking too though it can be damn cold in January. The "Dupont-Embassy Row" zone includes the traditionally gay neighborhood Dupont Circle, and is also convenient to where the brunch will be. I'd think anywhere between Dupont and Capitol Hill will be convenient to the various events planned for the weekend.

 

@ArVaGuy and I have been keeping a list of those who have said they are interested or confirmed in coming. Get in touch with either of us if you have questions or want to let us know you're coming. And of course questions can be posted here in this thread.

If someone could look at the neighborhoods on Hotwire, what areas should I be looking at for hotel? I've never been to DC so I am not sure how easy it is to get around walking and public transport wise.
