I actually think Smith deserves credit for the changes he made. In the original, it's Whitney singing to a third person about her feelings for a guy ("he" and "him"). Merboy Posted July 17 Posted July 17 Three come to mind right away: Will Young's "Light My Fire" (link) Hayley Westernra's "Wuthering Heights" (link) Sophie Ellis-Bextor's "Take Me Home" (link) but I kinda feel for some songs, that the very first version you listen to becomes the one you like and sometimes so much so that any other version completely sucks. I feel that way about some Broadway musicals.
